This is going to be a long review so you can get the entire story. I have been going to Pallens Automotive for probably 25 years or more, I ran an automotive parts store and serviced the Pallens shop and even his one son Michael worked for me. I have two vehicles, my 2012 Chevy Silverado 4x4 and my wife's 2013 Ford escape AWD. My wife's car had a check engine light and a low tire pressure light come on the dash. I've told Tom, Steven, Victor and all of the other mechanics to never put cheap or one year warranty parts on any of my vehicles and from day one I've never complained about a repair bill. Now after calling and telling Steven that the code was 051, a crank case pressure sensor. Steven called and told me to bring the car into the shop Friday at 9:30am and he'll check it out. Now every time I deal with Steven he tells me that he'll check it out and call me but that never happens and we're without a car for two to three days and when I call he tells me oh I gotta check this or I gotta check that when in reality he's blowing smoke up my butt. Well the truth came out that Friday. When my wife dropped off her car she asked when can I pick up my car, now remember Steven told me 9:30am, well it was 8:30am. My wife was to told she could pick up her car at 4:00pm. I picked up my wife at her job in Elyria at 3:55pm and drove straight to Pallens and I'm sitting in the parking lot waiting. Finally she comes out and I asked what's going on and she tells me that the young mechanic just ran out to the parking lot and pulled her car into the garage and changed the sensor. She paid the bill and we leave, driving home on broadway my wife calls me and and says that the check engine light and tire pressure light is still on. I told her to turn around and go back. She's told that Steven will get the sensor from the Ford dealership and she asked about the tire pressure sensor and was told she has to make an appointment even though they stock those sensors. This proved to me that Steven was peeing on my foot and trying to tell me that it's raining. You cannot believe anything Steven tells you. When a man's words ring empty (Stay away) I've had repair bills of $2000 sometimes more and I never complained about any one of them but when you show me that patronizing, your business means nothing that I take my money and spend it elsewhere. This place is amazing! My car was overheating on Rt. 2 near the Midde Ridge exit. I was traveling to Lorain from Columbus Oh. I took the exit and park in the nearest parking lot. A little panic of what to do or where I can have my car repaired. I made a few calls and Pallens Auto place came highly recommended. I called AAA and my car was tow to Pallens Auto Concept. The owner Tom along with his assistant Victor and the entire staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating! Thank you so much, your awesome! The location was easy to find, the office was clean and had large, beautiful fish tanks! In no time my car was fix and ready to keep traveling and at a reasonable price! The best service and people in Lorain county. They are honest and go out of their way to provide his service.

I took my truck in for a brake line replacement, and they had a full schedule that day, and after calling about the delay, it spilled over into the following day as well. No big deal, it happens. I return to get my truck, and my final bill is $40 UNDER the estimate!!! Unheard of to come in less than a repair estimate. Will never recommend this place for anyone. Took my suv there for overheating. Paid over $1500 and 30 minutes after I left it overheated again. (I have a video, receipts etc) Refused to fix it again. I was without a car for months. I literally gave them my last at the time. i know they did this to me because I was a younger women that did not know a lot about cars. Have dealt with Steve over the past week with a purchase of a boat, and installation of a hitch/wiring harness. He and his dad could not be nicer and pricing was great. I live 30 minutes from this shop but will be bringing them my automobiles from here on out for routine and in depth maintenance. Prices are right and the will get you in no matter how busy.
