    I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was frustrating enough to warrant it. I brought my vehicle in on a Monday for a scheduled service appointment, expecting a routine process. Unfortunately, it was anything but. From the start, I had to repeatedly reach out to my technician just to get updates** on the status of my vehicle and understand the way forward--no proactive communication whatsoever. When I finally received the diagnostic results, the recommended services seemed excessive (exceeding 8k for a well maintained 2019 F150) and felt like classic upselling just to drive up the final bill. I decided to decline the services and requested to pick up my truck--and that's when things really fell apart. I've been bounced between multiple employees, each telling me to go to someone else or that they'd "dispatch" someone to help, which never happened. It's been hours of waiting, despite being given clear times by my technician for when I could retrieve my vehicle. Every step of the way has felt disorganized and dismissive. Even standing here in customer service they are recieveing previous calls from unhappy customers and issues with vehicles from the previous week. Should have known better to get my vehicle serviced here after reading these other yelp reviews too. Lesson learned. Went to the tent to retrieve my vehicle that was ready and waiting for me...

Upon meeting my salesman, He proceeded to tell me that my information didn't add up. (as in i am not who i am- identity theft maybe idk) Kind of implied that i had somehow stolen my own identity but ok. I was asked to provide multiple documents and wait 1 week. i provided those documents on that same day. hello if i wanted to steal someone's credit i would steal someone's credit that has good credit. duh! After 7 days i called and was told to keep waiting. After 2 weeks of calling every day i was told wait longer. I gave up. After a month i received an email saying i should call back to check my status. I did and was told my application expired. Needless to say i went elsewhere and am now in a vehicle and love it!!! i walked out with a vehicle that same day ... and my downpayment was way less. DriveTime is not a great place to get a vehicle. It's a great place to get the run around. Do better!

    Found the car I wanted to buy on their website. Tried to make an appointment to go see the…read morecar...drive the car...and the appointments were delayed twice. About 10 days from seeing car online before finally getting to get it. I was sure I wanted it....Toyota, low mileage, I could look at it on the lot. But the office wasn't open. Turns out they were being protective over a Covid case. Understandable. I obtained my own financing. The price on the Toyota was competitive because they hold their value...the loan office was asking why the price was on the high side...the car was in impeccable condition and again...Toyotas hold their value...and the pandemic has made used cars go up in value. DT worked with my CR perfectly and the car is awesome. I highly recommend DriveTime in Corpus. The prices are non-negotiable. If you don't like what you see on the sticker...keep moving. Simple. But what I saw was in line with medium values with KKB.

    Roy T!!! You are the man!…read more I was searching for a C300 with specific features and found one 3 hours away. Roy and I handled all negotiations over phone, text, and email before I made the trip. When I purchased, there were no surprise fees or charges. What I really appreciated was being treated as an equal by Roy as well as the entire dealership. There are plenty of times where professionals will discuss with my husband even though I am the ultimate decision maker for my car. Minor details that could've been a hassle if it wasn't for Roy's communication, follow-through, and general professionalism: - The C300 had a few small paint chips from normal wear and tear. - The spoiler wasn't attached properly Solutions: Roy said he'd mail over a touch-up kit, and he did. He also advised me to take it to my local Mercedes dealership for warranty repair (I didnt have the time to wait for the service to be done same-day at Ed Hicks). I followed up with my local dealership and like roy said, it was covered under warranty and everything went smoothly. The whole experience was easy, honest, and pleasant. Instead, the dealership delayed the process on their end while "checking with other dealers" and handling things internally. During that time -- after several messages, a few phone calls, and multiple days of back-and-forth -- the car was sold to someone else. This wasn't a case of a last-minute competing buyer. It reflects a lack of deal control and a willingness to continue shopping a vehicle even after terms are agreed, without clearly communicating that to the buyer. At the level of purchasing a $90K+ vehicle in cash, there should be a much higher standard of professionalism, transparency, and follow-through. Instead, I was left in limbo while the dealership continued to pursue other options behind the scenes. The result was a complete waste of time and a breakdown in trust. If a dealership is not prepared to secure a vehicle once terms are agreed, that should be made explicitly clear upfront. Proceed with caution, and make sure you have explicit written confirmation that a vehicle is being held before assuming a deal is in place.
