I went in to buy a used 2016 Corolla and came prepared with research and the vehicle history. The experience raised serious concerns. The salesman confidently told me the car did not have a CVT transmission. It does. When I asked whether the transmission fluid had been serviced (it never had, across 159,000 miles), he refused to do a simple drain and fill and compared it to "back surgery on someone with no back pain." He handed me the dealership's own internal repair order, and that's where it got worse. It listed an "A/C Evacuate Recharge" that did not match what AutoNation reported to Carfax. It also documented a cooling system leak diagnosis, a cooling fan replacement, and a suspension/steering repair, none of which were disclosed to me. A cosmetic repair package had been declined internally, and two prior damage events on the Carfax were never mentioned. When I asked questions, the answers disappeared. The salesman repeatedly said he "wasn't a mechanic," couldn't find anyone who was, and didn't know how to find the information in their own system. The moment I started asking informed questions, his demeanor changed entirely. I did not buy the car. I purchased from another dealership the same day and was treated with honesty and respect. Avoid this service department at all costs. My husband brought his truck to this dealership specifically to have factory recall work performed. When he picked up the vehicle 2 days later, the steering wheel was significantly crooked--an issue that was absolutely not present when it was dropped off. The service department completely denied responsibility, claiming they "didn't touch" the steering components during the recall service, and flatly refused to correct the issue. Instead of taking accountability for this, they are trying to force him to pay out-of-pocket for a wheel alignment. To make matters worse, they would not let him speak to a service manager and the employees were dismissive, and lacked any sense of basic customer care or professionalism. It is entirely unacceptable to try and charge a customer to fix a problem that the shop itself. We will never return to this location for sales or service, and I highly recommend taking your vehicle elsewhere if you expect honest work and respectful treatment. read more

Service Advisor Aanysa was great, and I had no issues until I needed to take a wheel and discovered the key for my wheel locks was missing. I went back to Ford and was told by Aarron Drelling the service manager that the key was not there and that there was nothing he could do. Excuse me -- your team just rotated my tires and used my wheel lock key. Now it's no longer in my vehicle, and somehow this is being treated like it's my fault? This is exactly why I avoid AutoNation Ford in Corpus Christi as much as possible due to the poor management and lack of customer service care. I recently bought a vehicle from AutoNation Ford, but that will not happen again. all I was asking for was for them to replace my wheel key or new lug nuts that's cost $40 dollars since they lost my wheel key. On the day of purchase the registration paperwork was completed wrong and I had to return 2 weeks later on the 23rd. It's now been 3 months and two temporary tags and this dealership has failed to complete the registration, and titling of the vehicle. I have no plates and I'm considering hiring a lawyer! ZERO is how I rate this place if I could. I stopped using this place years ago, however, to get an OEM part replaced I had to go back to a Ford dealership and boy do I regret it. I purchased a new turn signal lens for the passenger's side mirror for my 2024 F-250. ($520 parts and installation). I dropped it off at 07:30 and received a video text at 10:55 from the technician, however the video started on the drivers side mirror and when he got to the passengers side the video ended behind the mirror showing he replaced the lens. When I went to pick up my truck I opened the mirrors, which were in the closed or tucked position I noticed that the spotters mirror(smaller one on the bottom) was shattered. I went back inside to let them know and I was told if I could bring it back in two days. HOW FRUSTRATING.....Once this gets fixed I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN and neither should anyone else!!! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience here was frustrating enough to warrant it. I brought my vehicle in on a Monday for a scheduled service appointment, expecting a routine process. Unfortunately, it was anything but. From the start, I had to repeatedly reach out to my technician just to get updates** on the status of my vehicle and understand the way forward--no proactive communication whatsoever. When I finally received the diagnostic results, the recommended services seemed excessive (exceeding 8k for a well maintained 2019 F150) and felt like classic upselling just to drive up the final bill. I decided to decline the services and requested to pick up my truck--and that's when things really fell apart. I've been bounced between multiple employees, each telling me to go to someone else or that they'd "dispatch" someone to help, which never happened. It's been hours of waiting, despite being given clear times by my technician for when I could retrieve my vehicle. Every step of the way has felt disorganized and dismissive. Even standing here in customer service they are recieveing previous calls from unhappy customers and issues with vehicles from the previous week. Should have known better to get my vehicle serviced here after reading these other yelp reviews too. Lesson learned. Instead of communicating with me he decided to talk to my wife. Unfortunately he played on her ignorance of my maintenance schedule and over charged me. When I tried to find a resolution he offered a tank of gas instead of making things right. I tried my best to be cordial on the phone but he ended up hanging up on me. I though this was a good establishment but I suppose to should have listened to the other reviews and found a difference location to service my vehicles. Customers BEWARE. I don't know if I have the right words to articulate how horrible of an experience we had at AutoNation Ford Corpus Christi, but I will do my best because this NEEDS to be known and hopefully save someone else from the troubles we've had. My husband and I bought a pre-owned 2024 Ford Expedition from another dealership with low mileage, and still under factory warranty. Shortly after getting the car, one of the front headlights went out. We made the horrible mistake of taking the vehicle to AutoNation Ford Corpus Christi to be repaired under warranty. From the moment we arrived we should've known what we were in for as the associate that helped us made it immediately clear they weren't inclined to work under warranty and interrogated us about where we purchased the vehicle and what the car fax said (which by the way was nothing). We dropped the vehicle off on a Monday and by Thursday I had grown increasingly frustrated as we couldn't get anyone at the dealership to answer the phone, call us back, or provide any kind of information about what was going on with the vehicle. I pushed and demanded for someone to give me at least provide me with a status of the vehicle, and once I did that within the same evening my husband received a call back from AutoNation saying "we believe the vehicle's been wrecked and we won't work on it, come pick your car up." I am floored at the difference in the condition I brought my new car in 4 days prior vs what it was when I picked it up. Not only had front bumper been scratched and cracked by whatever technician was looking at it, but their adjacent facility is currently under construction and my car looked as though it had been left to sit in that area with all the doors open. I am almost certain this was intentional just base on how coated the entire interior of my vehicle was with a sandy/dust material that I've since tried & failed to completely clean out. When trying to wash it off the outside it caused scratches to the vehicle was well. Mind you the vehicle had been freshly detailed just days before we dropped it off at AutoNation. I will attach photos in the review if possible. I respect whatever decisions that AutoNation or any other facility makes in regards to what vehicles they agree to work on or not, but to care SO little about a customer (or just fellow human being really) that you not only give horrible customer service but have a total BLATANT disregard for people's property is awful. Property that they've likely poured a lot of thought, consideration, and hard earned money into. I have lost all faith in Auto Nation Ford. I will never take another vehicle to them. I took our Expedition in and was told it was the Alternator. That didn't fix the problem so next they thought it was the relay box. Guess what that did not fix it either. Now they are saying it is the wiring harness. We were told on Thursday part would be in on Saturday and the Expedition would be ready to be picked up on Monday. Text on Monday now told it will be ready on Wednesday. They will have had the Expedition for 17 days to fix the problem if it is ready Wednesday. read more

Watch out for their finance guy Rodolfo Diaz at AutoNation on SPID and Airline. He is a dishonest, arrogant person. I had already made a deal with the salesman for a new F350 with the basic maintenance/service agreement. When I went to "Rod's" office to sign the paperwork, I tried to make casual conversation with him. All he had to say was that his new office was much smaller than his old office. He asked me if I wanted gap insurance, and I told him that I did not. He then asked me if I wanted windshield insurance, and I told him that I did not want that either. He then said, "So you don't want any of this?" I assumed that he meant the two items that he had just offered me. I told him again that I did not want them. He then said, "Okay, then sign here." I signed the document and proceeded to sign the rest of the documents. When we were done, I asked him, "What about the maintenance agreement?" To this he said, "You said that you didn't want it, and you already signed the document that said you did not want it." Basically he had tricked me into signing a document stating that I did not want the maintenance agreement but still was charging me the same price that I had agreed to pay that included the maintenance agreement. He knew in advance what the agreement was that I had already made with the salesman. He tried to trick me into paying for the vehicle and the maintenance agreement but I would only be getting the vehicle without the service agreement. Of course I protested, and I told him that he was going to redo the paperwork the way it should have been drawn up the first time. At that he got angry and said, "I'm not going to do that. I'm going to get my director." He then stormed out of the office. In AutoNation's defense, their salesman, Gary Gainan was incredible. He was very friendly and trustworthy. This was the second vehicle that I had purchased from him. The director's name was Brad Stapp. He was very helpful after he took over for Rodolfo Diaz. I ended up getting the vehicle and the deal that I wanted. However, what Rodolfo did was in my opinion pure trickery. He knew what the deal was before he started putting the paperwork together. He purposely misled me into believing that I was just declining the gap insurance and the windshield insurance when he got me to sign the document that also stated that I was declining the purchase of the maintenance agreement while he was still charging me for it. Incompetent, dishonest business. No Idea how they remain open! Arrived at scheduled appt time to drop off truck for service. There was no record of my appointment on their books. This was the first red flag signaling what was to come. Service advisor was supp to call me prior to end of first day with an update of what the tech found during diagnosis, but of course I never heard from anyone. I then called them well after lunch on the second day that they had the truck. No progress had been made on the diagnosis and, in all honesty, the service advisor didn't sound like she knew wth she was talking about at all. This was later confirmed when I read the notes from advisor to tech: customer requested to order and install A/C "compacidor." Capacitor, maybe?? In hopes of eliminating the middle man, during my phonecall on the second day, I requested to speak directly to the tech assigned to my truck, but apparently that's not possible. At this point, I decided to stop any further dealings with this shop and reclaim my truck. Upon arrival, the service advisor attempted to charge me TWO diagnostic fees at $170 each. I reminded her there had not been even a single diagnosis, never mind two. Her reply was, "Oh yeah, you're right." So I paid $170 for whatever time was spent on my vehicle and drove away. I later had to reattach the panels under my dash bec whoever was working on my truck didn't care to replace them correctly and left them hanging. There were black, greasy handprints left on the interior surfaces of the vehicle which I also cleaned myself. On the invoice provided upon payment, it was noted that the vehicle was, "ran two hours, driven for one," in attempt to duplicate the complaint, which is understandable and to be expected. However, there's no chance this is true, bec I didn't have enough gas for the truck to run that long. Also, mileage in & out reflects a total of 5 miles was driven while in the shop. We all know corpus traffic can be hellacious, but I seriously doubt it took an hour to drive 5 miles. Buyer beware! read more

The service department used to be good & I purchased two vehicles from them. Took my F-150 in b/c it was making a hard shift from 1st to 2nd. I figured it needed some kind of adjustment. Took them 4 days to tell me it needed a new transmission ($7K)! I declined & did some searching on F-150 forums. Turns out this is a common problem & is a software issue. To fix it, one must re-flash the memory. I did that & now the hard shift is gone. I don't understand how they didn't know about this & instead concluded I needed a new transmission. As I mentioned, they used to be good. In spring 2022 a skilled technician diagnosed, w/o error codes, a faulty sensor that prevented F-150 from starting, & spring 2023 a helpful service advisor assisted with some work on our Fusion. I noticed they had a lot of personnel changes with their service advisors (fall 2023) & the ones I worked with in the past are no longer there. It's disappointing to witness their decline. Broke down on vacation in a new Ford dually and towed to this location. They let me sit for 2 days no loaner or solid answers. Basically they handed me a service bulletin and said parts are on back order. They loaned me a suv and I drove home 5 hours away and put camper in storage. My Ford was having transmission issues so I took it in to Autonation Ford. without a doubt one of the worst experiences I have had. Took a week to diagnose it and told me, "there is something wrong with the transmission." Absolutely no help, and charged me $200. Place is a mess. I stopped for a gallon of coolant. Couldn't find parts dept due to construction. Then when I did the lady was indifferent as to helping me. She ignored me for the longest and then when she did help I had to repeat myself several times due to her being worried about some RO and constantly on the phone about it. Calls she made while helping me. I needed more coolant today and went the extra 5 miles to another dealer to avoid dealing with her again. 1. Transmission gasket and filter must be ordered through the dealer; every parts store had the wrong part (21 bolt holes, I needed 18). 2. Diagnostics: replace transmission...testing was done without a. Transmission gasket and filter b. Low transmission fluid level (discovered the wrong gasket after removing the transmission filter and transmission fluid it contained). 3. New transmission cost (only 3 in the US) $8500. Transmission gasket and filter (and gasket pan, nuts & bolts, transmission fluid (already purchased and left in the truck...they were informed) $1500. Total cost $10,000 without a proper diagnostic ($175 charge for each problem). 4. Transmission techs needed at AutoNation Ford, Corpus Christi (last review couldn't spell CHRISTI correctly). Experience required, must have knowledge and understanding with vehicle transmissions. 5. Currently owe about $24,000 (still financing) for a truck I can't drive (and haven't for over 2 months). If I don't pay the $175, Ford is threatening to put a lien on it. 6. Class Action lawsuit on the same year, make, model, engine, and transmission in California. Never buying a Ford again! read more

AutoNation Ford's Service department is an infuriating joke. I have had two experiences with them total, and Both were nothing short of terrible. The first time I dropped my car off for oil, tire rotation, and regular maintenance of the like. I had an appointment to do this. Once my car was dropped off, I was NEVER able to get a hold of anyone to help me find out if my car was ready. It took a week! Every person I got ahold of on the phone just gave me the run around and sent me to someone else's voicemail and no one ever returned ANY of my calls. I finally sent my husband in there and they got jumpy and said they needed about 20-30 mins to get the paperwork ready and then we could have it. My guess is they never did it, and took care of it then. Furthermore, when I made that first appointment, I also made a second appointment to bring it in and have the transmission looked at. I was told that they were backed up 45 days for transmission work so a second appointment was needed and made. Today was day 45. I made all the necessary arrangements for me to have a second vehicle to drive while it was being fixed (I am a busy mom of 3), arranged for someone to meet me there so they could bring me back to the second vehicle, and went in for my 8am appointment. Low and behold, the manager was there and was who I checked in with, however his nonwork related conversation with his coworker was more important than me, the customer, standing at the desk right in front of him. I had to wait a good minute for him to finish his conversation. He finally turned to my attention, but seemed annoyed that he was having to deal with me.... when I gave him my info, my appointment was no where to be found in their system. Even my confirmation email from him - the manager - wasn't enough to get me on the board. He said he could accept my car today but it would be at least 45 days for them to get to it because of the backlog. I explained that was what I was told 45 days ago and now here I am. He just sort of shrugged his shoulders and looked at me and again repeated he could take the car but they weren't going to get to it anytime soon. So I just left. Absolutely Ridiculous! They charged me the fees for registering the car as detailed in my purchase agreement, only to send a check $200 short for registration. A registration that I had already paid myself. Less than a week before I was slated to pickup my truck, the dealership called to say they would no longer sell me the vehicle. I had signed a contract that they claimed would then be sent to me, but never was. I had already paid a deposit and they tell me they won't sell me the truck I custom ordered?! Then I get a call from the dealership saying they'll sell me the truck if I pay them $5,000 more. What kind of business is this?
