A car was purchased during the visit by my partner. Takes forever to get a car from here. Same old tricks as the rest. "What is the number to get you out the door." "After you test drive, what are you going to do next?" "Let's make the numbers work for you" They took well over an hour "detailing" the car. The car was still dirty upon delivery. We had to remind them for the "We Owe" paperwork no less than 3 times, otherwise they would've conveniently overlooked it. They also only filled the car to 3/4 full. Who does that? I never leave reviews but I just had to say something based off my experience. Yesterday Sunday March 16th I went to AutoNation Ford to see my options. We were speaking with Gersy and he was very respectful but the communication was lacking and unfortunately I believe he was just the middle man for the financial department. He had given a report for me to fill out to run my credit IF we agreed to move forward. We NEVER got to that point. I made it a point to say I did NOT want my credit ran and to be notified IF we got to that point. We never even came close to a deal so running my credit was never discussed. I look at my email a few minutes ago and what do I have? A autonation hard inquiry. Never gave permission. Where I messed up was signing the paper before having a deal.. but his word was given and clearly it doesn't mean crap. 30mins before we were at Coggins Ford where they never even ran a credit inquiry.. the monthly payment is $100 cheaper and the down payment needed was 5k cheaper. Even after showing the paper WITH the numbers from coggins it didn't make a difference. FOR THE SAME VEHICLE. So stear clear because they are clearly just out to steal people's money. If you need a Ford dealership go to Coggins. They were transparent, respectful, honest, and not money hungry. Took my Bronco in for first oil change. Was in the process of moving to a cold climate, so I had some questions about the oil type and wiper fluid. Tech said he'd get answers and let me know. After an hour and a half, I went to check in and discovered my service was already finished. When I asked why my questions hadn't been answered, the service tech became rude and told me I could speak with the manager. The manager was much more reasonable and quickly and easily addressed my concerns. Overall a terrible experience that could have easily been avoided. read more

I used Langdale Ford Quick Lane in Valdosta for the past 8 years buying and using their service shop. Hands down the best place i have ever been and i do hope that this Autonation location in Jax will come close to the family i have back in Vtown. Recently relocated to the area and stopped in the Jax location just a few days ago in a company work van, a dually, for an oil change and tire rotation. Walked in with no appointment and went straight to the young lady Jessica who was quite nice about letting me know it would be a couple hours. No problem, I'm on the clock anyhow. Terrible. They will not give me my car after i dropped it off for an oil change even though no hours are listed on the doors of their service area. The website lists that they're open until 8pm. Waste of a drive and have to wait a whole day to be able to have my car. Last time I dropped my car off for repairs it came back in worse condition. This second experience is no better. I purchased a used car from AutoNation Jacksonville with a Dealer Limited Warranty. After about three weeks I took the car in for service on two items. The rear view mirror bracket was cracked and the radio kept rebooting after going silent. AutoNation ordered a new mirror and could not address the radio issue so they turned the car over to a local dealer who kept it for a full week and claimed the radio worked fine for them so car was returned to AutoNation. When I picked up the car and drove off the radio rebooted in the first half mle. I returned to service immediately and reported the failure and was told there was nothing more the could do. As I drove home the radio rebooted 4 time in a 4.1 mile trip. My overall recommedation is to avoid AutoNation Jacksonville at all costs. Once they make the sale you are on your own and their limited warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. read more

When you call to schedule a service appointment, the messages redirect you to schedule online. When you schedule online, the system does not inform you of the 2 day minimum diagnostic requirement; I was only alerted of this when I drove across town to my appointment. Only then did the attendant inform me I needed to expect to leave my car for a minimum of 2 days before they would even look at it - and then she redirected me with a business card to call the person my appointment was booked with. I went in a full circle. This is my first experience with a Ford after 5 of the same foreign brand and I have major buyer's remorse. read more

I asked to only have me come if the sale was for sure. they called saying it was a done dea. so 2 weeks later they are saying they can't get it financed and I have to bring the truck back. I'm in the middle of day job so I didn't take it back that same day. they reported the truck stolen. soon as I found out I had onstar come pick it up and take it back. the refused to pay me back my down payment cause I put in a after market radio and exhaust. now I'm out my ride and $2400. I would give 0 stars if I could. I bought a 2018 Camaro SS back in November. They sold me a warranty that included oil changes and routine maintenance. Went to get my first oil change and I was told that the AutoNation near me would not honor the services. So now I have 2 years of oil changes and maintenance that have been paid for but will not be completed. When I called the store they gave me a number to call that was out of service. Now when I call they put me on hold and eventually hang up on me. I will now have to contact my lawyer and report them to the Better Business Bureau for selling services that are not honored. Save your self the headache and hassle of dealing with these scammers. I suggest you find yourself a dealer that actually does what's right and helps you instead of robbing you. read more

Received an e-mail detailing a seemingly important recall on my '22 Ford Maverick (purchased through them). In the e-mail, I was instructed to follow the online portal to schedule a free recall maintenance. I followed the directions and set an appointment for several weeks out. The appointment occurred today (9:30 AM). When I was checking in, the woman at the counter asked my name and confirmed I was there for recall maintenance. At that point, she essentially indicated that I should've known it would be at least the following week before they could perform the maintenance and that they "have a bunch of recall fixes waiting to be done" and that I couldn't "jump the line on any other maintenance scheduled that day"...even though mine was also scheduled. She indicated that the online portal "should notify people of these delays" and that I "should have called in"...even though I confirmed my appointment multiple times through their e-mail system. If anything, someone from their team should have seen the scheduled maintenance and contacted me proactively if they knew it was not possible to complete. Her only solution was to try and schedule something the following week -- even though I had taken today off work today and driven all the way there, just to be turned away. I was made to feel like I should've known better and that somehow this was my mistake. The woman was by no means rude, but she certainly made it appear that this was commonplace for them -- which is unacceptable. I have had several less than stellar encounters for other scheduled maintenance at this location, but this was the final straw. I would not recommend this location to anyone, nor will I be back to do business with them in any way. read more

We bought our daughter a used Mazda CX5 from this dealership in February 2023. When we arrived to test drive the car, the battery was dead. They promised to replace it and we came back the following day to test drive it. The car drove fine. We were assured that if anything did go wrong it would be covered by the warranty that they promise on all of of their used cars. 5 days later, our daughter's car wouldn't start. on our own dime, we had to get the car towed to our mechanic. The whole time we were in contact with Autonation who assured us that it would be covered by the warranty. Turns out that the battery was completely dead. The battery they had originally replaced. We have tried to contact Autonation since February to get this billed paid.... CRICKETS! We have tried to contact anyone we can that will honor the warranty. This is just bad business. Our family was very excited because it was a gift for our son, and we couldn't wait to tell him. Much to our dismay, we were then told 48 hours later that the vehicle was not available. To add insult to our disappointment the salesperson then offered to sell us a "used" vehicle he found as a replacement at a higher price. Absolutely. When the first estimate came in, 1275 was the number. Then, after more than a week, there was a new development: the main wire harness had to be replaced/repaired and around 500 was added to the bill. Suspect, but not a deal breaker. Then when I pick the car up, neither the wire harness or the associated labor show up. Again, suspect but still not a deal breaker. What was the deal breaker: two things actually. First, the 'tech' told me the radio was not working. Odd, since it had worked before I left it in your car AND a brief inspection showed a blown fuse. Wow, talk about a misstep. Secondly and most devastating I found a parking ticket for Salt Springs Run with my tags on the ticket! We know it was not us, because we have never been there! To make matters even worse, the rear window has detached from the rails as if something or someone had pushed it in and broke it. Needless to say, it was not that way before. So, all trust for anything related to your dealership just vanished! I'm also taking the car to a trusted electromechanical because there are all sorts of electric gremlins showing up in the truck that were not there before. After contacting management, they are eager to sweep this under the rug AND blame the owner/client. This place is trash. read more

Just purchased a car there yesterday. Got home to look at the paperwork. They did not give us the Autonation Certified warranty and instead only gave us the 5 day 250 mile warranty. Plus the miledge they listed on the contract was the advertised miledge not the miledge from the day we purchased the car. So basically we have no warranty at all. Watch they will also sneak in a dealer fee after verbally telling me it was one price with nothing beyond tag, tax, title. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They are basically liars. I have an on going problem with dealership that isn't yet solved as of 05/10/2023. the facts: - They profiled me because I'm a foreigner (French) to tricked me into unwanted services and added about $10,000 extra to the cost of the vehicle. They also use my Social Security Number without my consent and run it multiple times. - The way they operate is they get the deal agreed on paper between you and the sales person, manager THEN when in front of the finance person everything change. In my case what they did is adding 9 months to the loan length so they could hide an extra $10,000 on top of the purchase price. They also violate the agreement they have with Bank of America by not respecting the BOA letter of approval and running my Social Security number with other lenders without my consent in order for them to get potential extra commissions. read more

Manager on the phone initially told me that all I needed was my registration to sell my car. When I was there they said on one of their sites it showed my car still had a lien but the other site did not, so they tried to push it through their system before saying I need to get the paper title. I came back a second time with a paper title and the paper the DMV gave me, but apparently they need a receipt from the DMV showing the transaction. How a receipt is more legitimate than an official title and both of the sites that they use now showing that there is no lien is beyond me. Total disregard of one's time and there are much more convenient options to sell your car. Do yourself a favor and avoid the inefficient team they have over there. read more

One star because I couldn't give it ZERO stars. They do not communicate with the customer. . . AT ALL! When you call to check on your car late in the afternoon your call will go to voice mail about 100% of the time. And don't bother leaving a message. They don't listen to them, and they certainly don't return calls! For that matter don't waste your time with their "Service" Department at all. I've gotten two DIFFERENT paid diagnoses for the exact same problem! When you speak with the Service Department, even in person, the apathy is palpable.
