I bought my 2014 Ford Expedition from Autonation because of the deal I got, but after returning home I noticed there was no front license bracket, I called my salesman Murrell who told me he would check into it. I have had several correspondence via phone calls, but was told they do not come E with the cars because. That's a crock, they are wrapped with the mats from the factory! Also the people in the finance department tried to brow beat me about an extended warranty, after multiple refusals, and even bringing in old parts for me to guess the price, I refused and treated like an outcast, I went home and bought one directly from Ford for a $1000.00 cheaper. Webb did a nationwide search for the exact vehicle we wanted, found it in Texas, arranged for it to be transported to Memphis, and had all the paperwork ready for us all within less than a week- all with just emails and a few phone calls. We decided to drive up to Memphis on a Sunday to pick up our "new" car but they could've even arranged delivery to our door! Took my Fiesta in for a scheduled service, because the steering wheel is grinding. Guy got in the car, turned the wheel, and "you are fine." He dismissed my service and now I am worried my transmission or steering is going to fail while I am driving. Of course, because I have very low mileage, it was only a few days and they called to ask me to bring in my car for the option of selling it to them. WHAT? The guy left me a message saying he wanted me to bring in the car for an estimate. I requested that they stop calling me. Worst experience, ever. read more

My vehicle was brought in for a recall repair. I had to leave it and pick it up on the 3rd day. It there were thunderstorms at night. When I picked my vehicle up, the floorboards were soaking wet, the seats had puddles of water, the ceiling fabric was soaked, and my dome lights no longer worked. I slid the sunroof cover back, and saw that my sunroof was vented open...which means that my vehicle sat with the sunroof open outside during thunderstorms. The mechanics were working on my steering column, so there was no reason for the sunroof to even be open. I called the dealership about it, and the service department was very nonchalant. The service member I was working with (Chris) was off that day, and they said they would have him call me. I never received a call. When I called today(one day after they were to call), they (Chris) said that there was no way they would've opened the sunroof and I must have left it open. When i told them it was winter and i dont open the sunroof, they said that they werent the ones who didnit and they werent going to argue with me. They told me to bring it in and they would take a look. They said all they would do is dry the carpet. That does nothing for the mildew that has already happened. And if they have to keep the car, they'd give me a "rental" for $150. I'm sorry, I'm not PAYING YOU for something YOU SCREWED UP!!!! read more

This dealership is fraud, they ran my credit when i didnt do a credit app. I came to test drive a car an let him see my liscense to drive vehicle, came back let him know i wast ready yet to apply because i was getting my credit fix. Week went by had a hard inquiry on my credit saying ford check my credit. I called an called mark suppose to be manerger said only way they check my credit is if i give consent an i didn't. He did not try to find out wat was going on nor call back. But i bet u when corporate get a hold of his ass an fox 13 news they Will speak. We bought a Ford Edge from Jim Calhoun at Dobbs Wolfchase Ford and could not be more pleased with the vehicle or the purchasing process! The salesman was top notch! Our criteria was first that it be an American made car. Jim was completely straight forward regarding the precentage and parts actually manufactured in the US. It may sound trivial, but the color was also important to me .After establishing the good relieable quality of the vehicle the color was the next consideration. When you spend that kind of money on a vehicle you plan to keep for many years, I want to LIKE the color. Jim did not have the color I liked, but rather than continue to focus on the fine quality of the vehicle he had in stock, an acceptable second choice color, he found the color I wanted! Before looking at a Ford we looked at a very nice Buick and also a Chrysler. Buick lost because the only possible interior was a dull monotone light gray! Regardless of the "ride" who wants to spend years in dull bland gray? Ford also had the "edge" because the company did not accept bailout money a few years back! Go USA! read more

I had my alternator replaced in the fall of 2015 and it went out this following spring. The actual customer service was fine, but what got under my skin was how instead of replacing the alternator under warranty like I only wanted done, they tried to do the you need an additional $700.00 100,000 mile checkup, (which was already completed at a better price at Landers this March), and a $1400 flux capacitor replacement. I keep my car in great shape and the last thing I needed was for add ons at this time. I just wanted my alternator fixed, so I didn't miss any additional work. read more

Let me start by saying Chris was a great salesman. I went to Autonation wolfchase to look at Ford Escapes simply because they had the largest selection in the area. Once I had sat down with Chris and he asked "what my goals for the day" were, I responded by saying "I'd like to test drive an escape, and check out some numbers". I had no intention of walking away with a car that day....however, as i said, Chris was a great salesman. They made a great offer on my current vehicle (sight unseen) and after a little more number crunching, they gave me a great price on a great car, and I almost bit. But when I asked how long the offer on my vehicle was good for and that i still wanted to shop around, in entered Les. Les is the reason that I did not, and will NEVER do business at Autonation Ford, and its a shame. Les heard that even after the numbers were revealed I was still planning on shopping around and started giving me attitude about "if the numbers work, why do you need to go anywhere else?" and things like that. Well sir, if you read the profile your salesman just did on me, no where on that sheet did it say I was walking out of Autonation (or anywhere) with a vehicle that day. As I am walking out, Les asks me when I would be coming back, to which I responded that I'll make a decision by the end of the day. Which wasn't good enough. He wanted to know when. So I told him that I would make a decision by the end of the business day that day, but he still wanted to know when. And then he had the gall to tell me that the offer on my vehicle expired at 4pm (it had been 8pm previously), and it was currently around noon. I replied "if you don't want my vehicle on your lot, thats fine". As I was getting into the car, Chris apologized for Les' behavior and hoped we could still do business. As I was signing papers on a brand new 2014 Ford Escape at one of AutoNation's competitors later that day, I got a call (around 3:45pm) from AutoNation. Being that I was in the middle of working a no pressure, no hassle deal, I let the call go to voicemail. And later I get a text saying that the used car manager was really interested in my vehicle and wanted to take a look. I did not respond. 2 days later I get 3 calls from AutoNation informing me that they had someone on the lot that was interested in my vehicle. I had half a mind to let them know where my vehicle could be found and purchased, but instead I sent a text to the salesman apologizing that we couldn't do business and letting him know that he could thank Les for that. In the end, its all about customer service. I paid a little bit more at AutoNation's competitor, but that extra money was well worth it to not have to deal with Les. read more

Throughly disappointed and disgusted with the service dept at this dealership! My issue is that my automatic power window on my drivers side would intermittently not go up automatically. Took the car in Early on Friday, January 2nd, was asked if I could leave it. My extended warranty allowed me to get a rental car so I left the car. I called the following Monday to see what was the diagnosis only to find out it hadn't even been looked at. After multiple calls on Monday, it wasn't until Tuesday that the car was looked at and diagnosed. Had to order parts which would take 2 days to receive. Call Thursday morning, parts had been received....several calls back to the service dept to see when I could pick it up and still not response back from Service Writer. Either they are always extremely busy, he's overworked or he sucks at his job. Either way I'm not happy at all. It's 5pm on Thursday and I still have no call and it will certainly be tomorrow before I can make it to the dealership. There is no way a window switch (the diagnosis) takes a week!!! Am I getting this treatment because it's under warranty and there's no money involved?! Regardless I'm not happy! read more

This dealership sold me a vehicle that had been branded a LEMON and I was not made aware of such and now I cannot sell my vehicle. A year ago I purchased a vehicle from Wolfchase Auto Sales. The owner there is Herb Phillips, which I dealt with only in negotiating a price for the car. Last week, I decided that I would get an appraisal on the vehicle for possible sale, as it is my third vehicle and we don't drive it as much anymore so I went to Carmax to get the information. They informed me the car, which I originally paid $9,000 for a year ago, was only worth $2,000. When I asked why, they said it was because the car had been branded a lemon from the manufacturer. Disgusted I went right next door where the dealership I bought it from was located and demanded to know why I wasn't told the car was branded a lemon. The entire time the owner kept insisting he told me it was a lemon when I know there is no way I would have spent that kind of money on a car I knew would never be worth anything. I never saw any document (which he claims I signed) stating clearly that the car was a lemon nor was I explained that either, and when I kept telling him that, all he kept responding was well you signed it, as to suggest that some type of paperwork had been slipped in the documents I signed and I wasn't told verbally. I have done some light research into this man and other complaints and reviews from internet sources all the way to the BBB and it appears this dealership has a history of altering titles, tricking customers into buying vehicles that they don't disclose certain information about, being disgusting to their customers, and pulling the bait and switch with people. I went to Mr. Phillips in hopes of trying to recoup the value of my car, which I was told by the appraiser would be anywhere from $7,000-$8000 in which he said there was no way he would give me anything close to this. Its obvious this guy is in the business to take advantage of those who aren't hip to these kind of practices. As I looked him in the face and asked him why would I throw away so much money on something I knew wouldn't be worth anything he just kept saying well you signed it. I have yet to see this document, and I know I didn't agree to something like this so it must have been disguised as something else. read more

Calvin, My wife and I appreciate the nice vehicle we were able to purchase from AutoNation. Unfortunately we will never be back because we never received the replacement radio that we talked about the day we bought the vehicle. In case you forgot, the day we bought the vehicle, we were driving off the lot and the screen for the radio went out. I informed you about the issue, and you advised that we should come back after our warranty kicked in to have it replaced. My wife and I made several trips to the dealership, and either there wasn't a radio available or you guys had one that wasn't the same as the one that needed to be replaced. We were told you would call us once you were able to get us a used radio out of another vehicle (some warranty). We never received a call stating such and our warranty ultimately expired. We would have felt better if you just told us that the dealership was not going to replace our radio the day we purchased the vehicle. Other than the dishonesty, it was great doing business with you. I was very impressed with the professional non-strong arm approach from Jim Calhoun my sales professional. We started with email exchange, when I noted having time to get to the dealership with a busy work schedule was an issue he offered to bring the car to me. I have been driving luxury foreign cars for 20 years. I was wowed with the smooth drive and luxury interior of the MKC. I found the ride was much smoother than the Q3, and the interior wow factor blew the Q3 and Q5 away. As a customer I know I am a very picky person. I had a list of demands for my new Ford Edge. The salesman (Michael Clements) sales manager (Les) and finance manager (Mo) all worked with me on the tiniest of details. This is a top notch team and I am VERY impressed with all that they did for me. Including finding the perfect Edge and had it driven up to Memphis for me. Michael spent a lot of time with me showing me the ins and out of ALL the technology in the Edge. Les is the unsung hero here as he was tasked with looking across this nation for the Edge with my specific list of demands, including the allowable dates for which it was manufactured (yeah, I am that picky). Mo made the finance part of the sale easy and non pressured. He worked with me on the warranties I wanted for the prices I was willing to pay. They ALL dealt with me professionally and patiently when I decided the 1st car I had chosen and signed all the paperwork on...was not right for me. Not a look of agitation on any of their faces. They regrouped, hunkered down and found THE perfect Edge for me. I know car dealerships say they want to make the customer happy and will do anything they can ...but this was the first time that I felt like I was abusing them (not on purpose) but they stuck with me till the end of the sale to guarantee I was a satisfied customer. I was impressed with the extra attention the Ford service advisor, Greg Bowser, gave me. I requested a loaner car since it may have taken a few days to determine what was going on with my car. He called me when the loaner was available. My car is running great now! He also tried to get the stain out of the front seat upholstery and we thought it was gone. But alas it reappeared, apparently after whatever they put on the seat dried. I have had many different places try to remove the stain without any success, so was only slightly disappointed when it reappeared. read more

I had a good experience. My salesman Chuck was extremely nice and Mo helped alot working on financing and trying to stay within the payment amount that I wanted. The only thing I wish is that I asked more questions regarding the car I bought. There are things that I thought were standard in every car such as cruise control that I realized after I bought the car that it did not have this feature and it was not standard. I went without my husband to buy this car which will not ever happen again he would have noticed the car not having features that I needed. I purchased an Escape from this dealer in 2013. My salesman was Curt Kobler. While my initial experience was positive (after all they were trying to sell me a car) every interaction since has been a disaster! Back in 2013, I financed a portion of the car. I never received a statement. I contacted Curt numerous times asking where to send my payment and for an invoice of some sort. He never helped me!!! In fact, after sending me numerous emails asking for a positive review he ignored my emails asking for help to know where to make a payment. I didn't write a review at the time because I didn't want to tarnish his reputation for what I assumed was one bad decision in customer relations. Today, however, Curt's lies have pushed me to the limit and I feel I must enlighten future consumers about his "smoke and mirrors" sales techniques. Curt sold me a maintenance package on my car. I told him numerous times that I live too far away and did not want to have to bring my car back to the dealer for oil changes. He assured me that if I purchased the package I would ALWAYS have a car to drive and would not be stuck at service for hours on end. I specifically remember this because he was like "we will loan you guys a car and you can go eat dinner." The first time I went in 2014 this proved to be a lie. I did not even attempt to get a car for the next number of oil changes, but today when I pulled in at 8:00 am I was told there would be a two hour wait. I was also told that I could not make an appointment to bring my car and I could walk to Target to kill time (no car was available for me to drive). In short, never purchase a car from a chain like Autonation. They are filled with liars like Curt Kobler. They don't car about you! I recommend small dealers like Ford of West Memphis or Jim Ross Ford in Wynne, AR. Both are worth the drive across the bridge. If you do succumb to purchasing from Autonation, say away from Curt Kobler! read more

Wolfchase Auto Sales with the owner Herbert Philips demonstrated one of the worse car buying experiences I have ever had. I made an agree to purchase a 2002 BMW X5 4.6is. For days we talked about the deal and came to an agreeable price on November 13, 2013. I purchased an airline ticket to fly from Atlanta to Memphis November 14th arriving at 8:30am. The night before (Nov 13) Phillips texted me at 8:30pm to confirm my arrival time which I immediately responded with the details. Next he texted me at 8:55pm "Cool." I went to bed feeling all was good. I woke to get ready to go to airport and noticed he had texted me at 12:55am stating "the truck was sold." I'm thinking this can't be real! I called and texted him and no response. I spoke with Kim (salesman) and he confirmed the truck was sold. Then after the call with Kim ended he accidently sent me at texted that was no doubt meant for Philips stating I was going to contact the BBB and Obomo (he doesn't even know how to spell the President's name), which I never told him I would do. At no point have I received a call from Philips personally though that's the only person I have the agreement with. Now I don't have the car and I'm stuck with a $265 non-refundable airline ticket! Let this be a lesson to anyone considering purchasing a car from them. Be very careful and this company! I wish I had paid more attention to his reviews and the complaints filed with the BBB. read more

I got fair service from the rep, and I believe I received a fair deal. I don't know about the service department yet, but I have had a lot of problems from ford service departments in the past. Poor service, I bought a Mercedes Benz from Herbert Philip the owner of Wolfchase Auto Sales through ebay. He displayed the car in excellent condition with no issues. When I received the car it was far from that. The lower front end was damaged along with the front grill and left front mirror and blinker assembly. I gave him every opportunity to make this right in paying for the repairs but when communicating with him on the phone he was extremely rude and unprofessional. I sent him detailed pictures and a appraisal of the damages. Beware when buying cars from him and his dealership because he does not stand behind the cars he sales. I would only recommend him and his company to my worst enemy. read more
