Our car wouldn't start one morning so when we got it going we rove straight to Ray Skillman Hyundai…read moreservice. We were able to drop off the car without an appointment and we're assured we would hear back in a day or so. We appreciated their ability to take the car despite shortages of people working due to sickness. We heard back in a few days about the issues and were able to determine what we would have done immediately and what could wait. The only issue we did have is that when we brought in the car previously for routine service and oil change no one inspected the car, even though we were given a sheet claiming it had been inspected. So our issues stemmed from not being 'on top' of how much the brake pads needed changing or the spark plugs were overdue for a change. This is a bit disconcerting as we thought we were on top of things. We also had initially requested an oil change but then called multiple times (prior to start of service) to take that service off as we were doing too many other adjustments. When we went to pick up the car they had done an oil change and couldn't take off the cost despite being told about our calls. We did call on the following business day and were told they would remove the cost, but just a note that it is better to be very clear at the onset what you want done (inspection, services) so there isn't confusion. It is a good service and all of the people are very friendly, but our faith is a bit shaken. The prices though are reasonable for other spots for the same type of service, so that is part of why we continue to return. Definitely worth checking out, but make sure communication is clear!

Wouldn't honor battery warranty on battery that still had pro-rated warranty. Bought car and…read morebattery from Ray Skillman Ford. Reason given is that they can't get any money from pro-rated batteries anymore. That shouldn't be my problem, it says the warranty on the sticker to the battery that they sold. Booooooooooooo. Not honoring a warranty is Bush League, you would expect better from a Ford Dealer.

Went to where I bought my vehicle about 7 years ago for oil change & maintenance check up. My…read moreservice advisor George was friendly & professional. They took my car back & then did something I really like here. They send you a video of what the service tech is seeing. Around the vehicle, the engine as well as under it. Then they text you what they recommend to be done and you can pick & choose those options. This is while you are in the nicely appointed waiting area. It's basically no touch customer service. I took a screenshot of the service coupon off their website & texted that back to the advisor after I made my selections on work to be done. I truly love the transparency. Once the car was ready George came over to let me know. I'm dinging the dealership 1 star for not doing the complimentary car wash there with service but instead giving a voucher to use at Brad's car wash ( a sister company). If the Hubler Acura store right next door can do washes I fail to understand why they can't at Mazda anymore. ‍ Overall though still a very good car service experience.

There wasn't a reason given, but I had been told that they were going to hire 3 people, and 2 had already been given the position, so I can only assume that there was a change in the amount of hires. I had to stay in Indianapolis for an extra day in order to hear anything back. (The manager that refused to speak to me did not communicate for 2 days.) Very unprofessional, I do not recommend them. Spent a lot of money and time for nothing.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Ray Skillman Hyundai and the way I was treated…read morethroughout this process. I scheduled an appointment to have my horn repaired and made it very clear that I needed a Saturday appointment because I had been told the repair would take all day. I also explained that I rely on my vehicle for work during the week and that, as a cancer patient, my PTO is reserved for chemotherapy and doctor appointments. My time and transportation needs were clearly communicated in advance. Despite that, I dropped off my vehicle for the scheduled Saturday appointment, only to receive a call four hours later informing me that the repair could not even be performed because only lube technicians were available on Saturdays. This was completely avoidable and reflects a serious lack of communication and competence. If the repair could not be done on a Saturday, that should have been disclosed before the appointment was ever made. There was no excuse for wasting my time and leaving me without my vehicle for hours unnecessarily. On a later visit, I requested a loaner car and was made to feel as though I was asking for something unreasonable. When I arrived, Robin addressed me in a rude and unprofessional manner in front of other customers, stating that they do not have many loaners, that everyone wants one, that they have eliminated many of them, and that I "better figure out what to do next time." That comment was inappropriate, embarrassing, and entirely unacceptable. No customer should be spoken to that way, especially in a public setting. Asking for a loaner during a repair is not improper, and being shamed for it was disrespectful and unnecessary. The overall experience showed poor planning, poor communication, and a troubling lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. I expected far better from a dealership service department. Instead, I was inconvenienced, dismissed, and treated with disrespect

Sure they are professional and nice-they want your business, I mean money, until you start talking…read moreabout down payments and money. Most car salesmen prejudge. I asked about a vehicle that I was interested in and was told I could not afford the down payment, yet, down payment, car prices and mileage are not posted on the vehicles or online obviously for a REASON. They want to prey on dummies. When I looked up the vehicle in question on my "smart phone" though pretty it was not worth S***! Only "they" know what they have, what it is worth and who "they" feel like deserves it. They will separate the down payment into smaller payments for you to pay along with your car payment anyway. So when they say only $500 down that money is for the salesman. The paperwork may say 3000 down or 2000 down. Or you could just save up and give that money instead to a small car lot (Joes...) and have your pick of great vehicles and better monthly payment. If you give away your car (I mean trade in) it is just that they are not really giving you any money for it. Wild and crazy numbers are manipulated on paper they just keep it legal. By the way, I cannot stand car salespeople that tell you what THEY assume you can afford. They probably laugh at the broke folks that come in once they go home. Usually they will try to put you into a vehicle no one wants and they just want to dump. If you are young and naive they can do this over and over again. They know they legally have the upper hand and so any problems after you drive away are yours not theirs unfortunately. But there are auto loan companies like Bridgecrest that are happy to work with you if you have to miss a payment. Instead of repo so they can make more money off your car with the next sucker. I asked about minor collision damage but they kept it a secret- whatever is on Car Fax people you need to know about. Women, take a guy in with you that knows a little about cars, you need to know if it has recalls... these high mileage American cars that you will pay triple for are junk to begin with and ready to break down. It is usually not a Honda or Toyota...so there is a 50 % chance that you will get a high mileage car that was a one owner who kept up the maintenance (oil changes...). You need to know about any collision damage major or minor damage that they purposely will not disclose. Better yet, save up and buy a car from a one owner or go to the auction and buy a car with a mechanic and save tons the car will be ready to throw away in three years remember that, but with a dealership you will still owe!
