So I'm seeing some bad reviews here. I wanted to post my experience. I bought a diesel grand Cherokee from auto one back in august 2019. I live in Maryland bought in Pennsylvania. The Jeep passed Pennsylvania state inspection but failed Maryland due to leaking steering rack and ripped front axle boot. Auto one gave a credit card over the phone to criswell Jeep in Thurmont. The repairs cost almost 4k. Auto One had no problems honoring their 30 day warranty. I would definitely buy from them again. Since then the Jeep has given me almost no issues. I had one of the worst experiences at this location i've ever had - not only at a car dealership but with a "professional" in general. The way I was spoken to, including "you don't come here to test drive, you come here when you know what you want" and "if you want to look at ___, go up the street and look, if you want ____ go to their lot and look, not here" and yelling across the showroom to embarrass me about what type of car I wanted to look into shouting "can you believe this girl wants to buy a ____". I knew what cars I wanted to test drive and I drove through the lot first to see if they were at that location, but was told no. Continued to cut me off as I was answering his question as to why I thought this whole experience has been unprofessional. He raised his voice at me even threatened me by stating "I have no problem laying a woman out" as well as a barrage of other insults. BUYER BEWARE- During the purchase of my used car, they added over $ 4,500 to the purchase price (service contract, gap, 3 for 1 protection, luxcare) without my knowledge. I needed a small loan, they steered me to their bank and when the approval came back I was very surprised to see they added the extra charges without my permission. Very deceitful! Mainly deal with them on the service side. It's been slightly subpar. Examples: brought my car in, diagnosed problem as O2 sensor going bad. Check engine light on again 10 mins after I left. I ended up fixing it myself (was purge valve) Got car inspected last month: today, battery dead, significant deposits on negative terminal. Did they even raise the hood to check? All in all - I'm gonna start looking elsewhere if I can find a location that's conv Update: Set my car in for an oil change. Aside from the fact that an oil change cost nearly $50, which is ridiculous, my cars check engine light is now on, which it wasn't before, and it's not running right. It's been 2 years since I've bought my suv from them. They still have not honored our contractual agreement in where they would update my navigation system. This suv has been in the shop more often than not. Engine had been replaced in less than a year, water pump as well. Traveled an hour to specifically visit this dealership because of the varied selection of vehicles available within or close to my desired parameters. We test drove 3 vehicles and were interested in a few other models but the salesperson kept talking us out of them. We managed to take a fourth vehicle for a spin but by that time it was clear the salesperson wasn't interested in making a sale. He was too hands off, offered no real assistance and genuinely seemed disinterested in making a sale. I'd say it was a waste of time but we actually identified at least two models we really like. Retiring soon and wanted to travel for a few months and my p.o.s. car needed to be put to rest. Go to Auto One and purchased what I thought (wishful thinking) would be the last car I'd ever have to buy. Well it came with just a 30 day warranty, should have realized that was a red flag on it's own. So after 2 months just 2 months, 60 days and 753 miles the transmission to a full blowout shit. $4,500 to replace. I got sucked in by the salesman cool approach. Damn someone my age should have known you can't really trust anyone now a day. So my advice drive anywhere else stay clear of this dealership. 2 goddamn months! So so sad. read more

Do not go to AutoOne dealership unless you want dishonesty, disrespect and penis artwork. We purchased a used car from them in August which they had inspected in July. It appears that they fraudulently passed it. Our local mechanic said that the state of the exhaust system would never have passed. AutoOne claims that there's an exhaust leak but because it isn't making a sound it was ok to pass. From how I read the law and what my mechanic said that is not true. We recently purchased a used car here. The photos online looked decent as did the car in person. The website photos showed floor mats and a flat tire. I questioned the salesman about the tire. He said the tires are all new. I said "brand new?". He said "well, new for this car. They still have good tread". So I guess they buy used tires to put on the cars they pick up at auction. I asked about the floor mats. He said that the car doesn't come with floor mats. I said "they're shown here in the pictures on your website". He said "oh, they were probably dry rotted so we threw them out. We bought the car anyway. While we were filling out the paperwork, the salesman said "I'm going to go put gas in the car". I left the lot, got out on route 30, and looked at my gas gauge which read 1/2 tank. So in summary, I purchased a $12,000 used car with new-used tires, no floor mats, and was sent home on a half full (or half empty) tank of gas. That pretty much sums up my mediocre buying experience. read more

I had such a great experience with Kevin Bodie that I wanted to write a review even though I did not buy a car from him. I originally inquired about a Subaru that they had for sale. I am currently looking at a different vehicle from a private party and Kevin offered to talk to me about the vehicle, make sure I was not getting worked over by the seller and was provided a CarFax report. If it does not work out for me with this private party, going to to AutoOne and seeing Kevin will be my first priority. I would definitely recommend this dealership. Ask for Kevin Bodie. Such a shame that a dealership/service within walking distance of my work would be the one I'd say to avoid. Service: I had my car inspected there. The car didn't need anything to pass but they upsold me on some filters and I said sure. Come to find out they're like $7 filters that take 2 seconds to install and they charge $25-$30. Fine. Lesson learned. I asked for the total price on the phone before I picked up the car and then when I walked over to pick it up, I was given a price almost double. I got upset and they fixed it but how many people just pay without even asking twice? Is this how they operate? Sales: My aforementioned car was totaled in a snow storm and I was soon to be carless. I knew what I wanted and Auto One had it. It was more than I wanted to spend but I also didn't have time to drive all over the place trying to find a deal. I paid the full asking price and it wasn't until AFTER the paperwork was signed, did I realize that even though this car came with keyless entry, Auto One only had a valet key. When I test drove it with the valet key, I figured they had the other key. Who sells a used car with only one key!? The ENTIRE TIME I was sitting at the salesperson's desk filling out paperwork, there was a Honda keyless entry fob on her desk. FOR ANOTHER HONDA. When I realized the fob was NOT mine and asked the salesperson if I could get a key made, she said that she'd "have to ask her manager" and that they were "already losing so much money on this sale." She would not let me mention the lack of key on any of my paperwork. She said she'd call me that Friday (I purchased on Wednesday and she was off Thursday). Never got a call. I also want to mention the guy in charge of pushing the warranties? I declined the warranty because it's handled by their service department (who I no longer trust) and the car still is within the manufacturer's warranty and the power train warranty. Tried to scare me into buying, "What if you break down on the side of the road on the way to one of your markets??" I said I'm currently doing markets in a 20 year old Toyota with 250k miles on it, I think we'll be fine. He said "You better not come back here if you have a problem and try to blame it on us." Who says these kinds of things to paying customers? Over a week later I get a message from the manager Kenny that they tried to register my plate and someone else's name was on it and I'd have to bring him in to sign off on it. This plate has been mine alone for 2 1/2 years. They transposed the numbers on the paperwork. I understand everyone makes mistakes but I don't know, maybe check that first before calling the customer? It did give me the opportunity to mention to Kenny that I did not get a call about the keyless entry fob. And again, here we go with the "we can't give keys out for every car, we wouldn't make any money" and the "well, our locksmith comes in on Tuesday, I can find out how much it will cost and maybe we will can split it?" I completely lost patience at this point and went somewhere else to get a key fob made. $100. They were complaining about losing money over a $100 on an $18k sale. Hey Auto One, that $100 would have bought you a ton of goodwill. Instead, it got you this review. read more

I came here to check out some vehicles. The one I test drove, it was making a weird noise, so we said something to the salesman. He then said that it was a situation where they rushed getting the car out on the lot. I thought that was super sketchy. I then looked at another car. The tires were practically bald. The man insisted that their buddies down the street inspected it and said they were good to go. Once we returned to the lot after test driving a vehicle we waited for about 10 minutes and no one came out to collect the keys. We ended up just leaving them on the car. I also have a friend that purchased a truck here. The truck had about 90,000 miles. About a year later the transmission went out on it. Could be a coincidence, but I wouldn't be surprised if he got screwed over. read more

Bought a truck and 10 days later the transmission went out. Things happen but with zero help from anyone at auto one because it was apparently out of their warranty. They eventually said they would help and do what they could but that means letting the truck sit at the shop for about 3 weeks (we still had to make the first months payment too). Never heard from anyone in management besides the manager at auto one yelling at us when we came to ask for help financially and with a rental car set up because the warranty package they sold us would have costed $350 for a rental car. Said they would tow it to a new shop to try and get fixed from someone else after the truck sitting for two weeks not getting fixed, never did that. Said they escalated it to corporate to try and help us financially pay for the transmission (cost us about an extra $4k only 10 days after buying the truck) and never heard anything and still have not. They kept making the salesman talk to us because their management is spineless and they couldn't care less about their customers. We are still making payments for this issue that happened 4 months ago and should have been covered by them. Their customer service is horrible and all they care about is getting your money. My girlfriend and I were working directly with Stephanie at Auto One on a vehicle we were 100% ready to purchase. Unfortunately we live about 7 hours away which made things a little more difficult. After speaking with Stephanie for about 2 days straight about this very specific vehicle she told us to run the credit application so that will already be done. They would not accept any down payments to hold the vehicle but they had reassured us multiple times they would hold it for us considering we've shown proof we wanted it, did the credit application, and had the money available. About 6 hours before we were supposed to make our 7 hour trek to their dealership we got a call from another gentlemen at the dealership telling us the vehicle has already been sold.... All this reassurance (not too mention already running our credit application so now our credit takes a hit) and we can't even get in touch with Stephanie. I'm assuming she is not wanting to face her own screw ups! So thanks for nothing Stephanie! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP LIKE CANCER!! read more

I am disgusted by my interaction with these people. They misled me multiple times about the date my car would be ready. Then they made me come to sign paperwork for the second time (after they messed up the first set by putting the wrong interest rate) while I had a 102 degree fever. They gave me literally six different dates that I would be able to take the car home: 12/14 or 12/15 turned into 12/18 or 12/19. That subsequently turned into "10 days to get the title from the other dealer". Then it was 12/27. Then it was 12/29. then 01/02 or 01/03. I didn't get my car until 01/05/2018 To their credit, they did give me a loaner car during the several weeks I was waiting for the car. I was annoyed but I was ready to let bygones be bygones now that it was all over, literally four weeks after I put down my non-refundable deposit. Then a manager, Jake, called me on Friday 01/12/18. He said that the bank decided to lower my rate and that new paperwork needed to be signed. The whole thing sounded suspicious to me so I called PSECU. They told me that the reality of what happened was the dealer put the wrong interest rate on the paperwork in the first place. I wasn't going to make a big deal out of it, since it benefited me anyway but I simply did not have time to go down there. I was out of town for the holiday weekend. Tuesday it snowed and the roads were not great. It snowed again on Wednesday. Thursday I woke up with a fever of 102. The salesman started texting me saying I had to sign these papers or "the deal is going to be kicked". Even after I told him I had a fever he told me that they still owned my car until I signed the updated papers and they could take it back. I was furious that they are now threatening to take the car when I had done everything that asked timely and I had a perfectly legitimate reason for not being able to do it immediately. I went to the dealer, fever and all to sign the papers. I'm not proud of my behavior but quite frankly I lost my mind as soon as I walked through that door. I was so furious that the way they had been treating me and I made sure they knew it. They had no business pressuring me to risk my health just so they would get their money, especially after they took their good old time getting the car to me in the first place. They immediately threatened to take the car and call the police (because I was shouting at them and causing a scene). After working in customer service, literally since I have been able to work with is NOT normal behavior for me. I didn't threaten violence or make any physical advances. I'll admit I used some choice words with them but I don't feel it warranted the reaction I got. So I just read the new papers, signed them and left. I am just so disgusted that any of this even happened. After the long drawn out process they dragged me through they had no business demanding things be taken care of so quickly. They were constantly shifting blame and breaking promises . At best this place is a circus of buffoons who don't know what they are doing, but I suspect they are actually much slimier than that. Don't buy a car from these people. They have no integrity. read more

I attempted to purchase a 2009 Ford Fusion. When I first looked at the car the ABS light was on. Also the cover that conceals the passenger side airbag was damaged. They said they will see what they can do about these issues. Then I came back because they told me that they decided to fix the ABS light for me and the light was now off. Then they told me not to worry about the airbag issue which would not cause it to operate any different. I was still skeptical about the airbag. But I just told myself that I would just never let anyone sit in that seat. I feel that if it was ok for the airbag to be like that then the manufacturer would sell it like that. So it's not something to not worry about. I came to the conclusion to just never let anyone sit there I was still going to purchase the vehicle. I then drove the car home and was going to return to pick up my vehicle that had been left behind until I got a ride. I started the car and it was rumbling and the check engine light came on. So then I very nervously drove 30 miles back to the dealer. Once I returned to the dealer the salesman had the service tech look at the car. He said it was a cylinder misfire and it was an easy fix. But with the money that I was putting into this car I was not willing to risk it. If it was something so easy to fix then they should have fixed it initially. Then I told the salesman that I wanted my money back and he jerked me around and said that he couldn't give me my money at that time. Then I will have to wait until tomorrow when the finance people come back in. Which I didn't understand because I gave them cash. Then I have the salesman write me a note with a signature that stated that the dealership will give me back my money. The salesman said that I could come and pick up the check the next day. I was not willing to do the drive all the way out there again. So I asked that they mail me the check and I asked that it be sent overnight or next day. The salesman said that he would try. I really feel like he was jerking me around because he was mad that I didn't want the car with all of these issues. I later received indication that he was actually a part of finance. SMH. I would never purchase anything from this dealership because they allow shady people to work there. I know it's all about money over there. They can careless about quality. That is why they give you such a short warranty on used cars. I would rather give my money to a business that actually cares about the wellbeing of me and my family! read more

GOT RIPPED OFF!! There are no deals here, just the opposite. Please read the latest Google reviews. They stuck me with a powertrain issue that was never pointed out to us on the car. We had questioned a vibration noise on the test drive and they changed the whole deal after that. Which didn't even turn out to be the major problem after all. At the signing, they switch the 30 day warranty label off the car with a "AS IS" no warranty at the last minute. Nice sleight of hand. Paul is the one that stuck it to me but this was clearly a team effort. Now I understand why Jake was laughing at me when I turned down their extended warranty. I wouldn't use this repair shop or buy a car from them. Fraudulently hid the amount of repairs they did to the car before I bought it. Clutch needed replacing after 10k miles. Took them 2 weeks to put it in, ordered the wrong parts 3 times. Originally told me they couldn't re-surface the fly wheel, then after 3 times of ordering the wrong parts they told me they could re-surface the fly wheel. Started having problems with the clutch immediately. They ordered cheap parts and did a shit job. They didn't recommend to replace the slave/master cylinders while the transmission was out, like any reputable or quality garage would do. My new mechanic says he sees this type of budget job all the time. Do not use this business if you want the job done right. Why do you think they changed the name from Keim to auto first? Is it because they had an amazing reputation? Or do you think for other reasons. They do not offer a warranty on any parts of labor they do. read more

As it turns out, the car I went there for was *not* what I wanted, but Adam S., the salesperson, knew how to ask all the right questions to get me to the car I *really* wanted. He gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision, and answered all my questions thoroughly. The team put together a good financing package that met all my needs, and took care of every detail (including finding me a great insurance quote). First off, after driving my car off the lot, I got to work and went to lock my car, and the key fob was completely gutted (taped together). If I'm spending more than 10k on a vehicle, you better believe I should get a functioning key fob along with it. They were originally going to have me pay $185 for it, then said they would pay for half, then I finally got them to cover it for me. Not even 30 days after buying my car I had issues with it. I took it to my mechanic to check it out. One issue was that my high beam on the right was not connected. So, a vehicle cannot pass inspection without both high beams working. Hmmmm. My middle overhead lights didn't work, so I took it to an audio shop, and they said the lights weren't even plugged in. Auto One does careless inspections, and apparently illegal inspections as well. Also, after two weeks, I hear a loud scraping noise in the front of my car. My mechanic had said the wheel bearing needed replaced, so I took the vehicle back to Auto One to have them fix it under my 30-day warranty, and they made the sound stop temporarily. Two weeks later, the noise starts again, and we have to repeat this process again. If you want a dealer that hides the whole truth, and wants to take advantage of you, Auto One is the place for you! read more

I was car shopping and tried a few dealer ships. Then I found some cars on their lot I was interested in. Long story short, I bought one of their vehicles it ran great to start with and then has had all sort of problems! I have owned it less than a year and spent near $5000 or so just to have one thing after another to be fixed or looked at. After I let them replace one part, there was another problems soon after. I was so displeased even with the last free oil change they did on my vehicle and I asked for them to tell me how much was left....they brought back a container filled with the dirty oil and expected me to take that with me to my personal mechanic explaining they don't have measuring containers. Really?! What kind of garage doesn't even have a container to measure how much oil had been let out of a vehicle. And not only that a week later I started having problems again with my vehicle after it had been giving me no trouble for a few months. Well now it's back at it again the last 3 months. Let just say good thing I have proof of all that has been serviced on this vehicle and am looking to find a way to get another vehicle and I will never look at this place again for a vehicle. I have been warning all my friends to stay away from that place! Oh, and I forgot to mention, the tires were bad that in two weeks of owning it I got a flat. read more

I'm very unhappy with truck I purchased 3weeks ago from auto one. I purchased 2009 Mercedes Gl450. Spent 18,000. My husband check the oil it was black. When you started the vehicle 2 messages auto light inoperative and 500 days exceeds service. While signing paperwork husband mentioned oil was told I could bring back for oil change. Went home next day discover one on the tv's don't work. Very upset bc dealership can certainly charge more for vehicle with tvs. Called to schedule oil change and was told they would look at light. Took back next week they changed oil. Have no idea why auto light inoperative. Next day left low beam was out. Called dealership since they said they changed bulb few weeks before we purchased. Once again took back they change bulb. However I need to take to dealership to research about auto light inoperative. Also just today flat front tire and was told there is no way those tires should have pass inspection. And front brakes shouldnt have not pass. read more
