About 4-5 months ago I had to get my oil changed and the cover to get to my oil was stuck. They kept working on it until it was done and even added a couple pieces in that were missing. I had my 6 month old baby with me at the time and when I called to let them know, they made sure I was able to get in as quickly as possible! They assured me that i would be cared for as long as I could get there, and their eagerness to make sure I would be able to drive with my baby safely was so deeply appreciated! My Indy heroes blast Metallica, work on cars, and are named Denny and Brian! I just moved up from Texas and as it turns out my used car's radiator was filled with mostly-- w a t e r. Then came the multi-day Indy freeze/snow storm/normal winter. My radiator froze and I was beyond frustrated since it is way to fracking cold to walk to the grocery store by myself or pick up furniture in Carmel (lol). I had my car towed to Autotech around 9:15a and had it back in my possession by 5:15p! Initially I spoke with Denny and he was very friendly and understanding of my situation. In the pick up I was able to interact with both Brian and Denny who stated that my radiator now had "Indiana Heat" to survive the Indy winter. The prices are very fair! I know this is vague but radiator thaw and flush, coolant refill, trany fluid top off, and thermostat replacement was under $215 including labor. This was fantastic and definitely prevented further damage to my vehicle if I were to wait out the radiator thaw and try driving it. They also recommended some other maintenance my car would benefit from but said it was not necessary and even quoted the cost of the work. It was very nice to find trust worthy mechanics so close to my neighborhood and with such fair prices! I bought a $3000 Subaru beater for bad weather travel...2 weeks later it's acting crazy...take it to Brian at Auto Tech and he says your gonna have to spend a thousand to make her run right, but after you spend that you'll get another 100,000 miles outta her. You also need vales, but not very badly as long as you keep the oil level up that can wait. it's 3 years later and She's runs like a champ everyday on a westside to downtown commute, with the one grand fix, and I'm still holding off on redoing her valves. I will never go to another garage again. read more

Brian at Autotech is absolutely awesome! It can be difficult at times as a woman to get repairs on your car. I have been talked down to and swindled out of money at other mechanics, but Brian is honest and he takes great car of my car. He's the type of guy that doesn't charge you $50 to unplug and plug something back in. He makes suggestions on getting work done if he thinks it's necessary, but will let you know if something can wait a little longer. I've never felt pressured or robbed by this mechanic. I live on the near east side and still take my car over to Speedway when there's a problem. I can't imagine taking it anywhere else! read more

The 3 stars is for the quick, friendly service on an oil/filter change. I was also in need of a new timing belt, and a trans flush. I was quoted nearly $1200 for the belt and $250 for the flush. My dealer, yes, *dealer* charged me $650 for the belt, and $85 for the flush. They're friendly enough, and seem honest, but I can't fathom how they came up with those quotes. I've heard of mark-ups by independent neighborhood shops, but wow, more than double over the dealer is impressive. read more

Brian is the real deal! He is as honest as the day is long and totally is a man of his word. Had a repair done on my 2011 Ford Fusion - repair SHOULD be a recall item and may well be in the near future. Brian made sure the repairs were correct, timely and then reminded me several times to retain the receipt for potential reimbursement if Ford ever decides to do the right thing with the gas tank leak issue... Brian's estimate was spot on with the final cost and he did the work quickly and let me know as soon as it was complete! Awesome shop - awesome guys! I have been a customer of Autotech and it's owners Brian and Denny for more than 20 years. I can't say enough good things about them and their shop. They are honest, and do amazing work. Everyone I have referred to them has been so much more than pleased with their work. I had a Toyota Camry which was at 355,000 miles when I sold it. Much of the mileage I got out of my automobile was I am sure do to the good service I received from Autotech. Prices are always very reasonable.
