I would have to agree with Mitch O. on 12/15/2013. These guys need more school or something. They failed my 1977 camaro on two visual problems One was they couldn't find a number on the catalytic converter. Once I arrived home I jacked the car up and found the E.O. number within 60 seconds. Second They said I had a spark delay valve that shouldn't be there. They must of been looking at the Federal vacuum diagram because the California vacuum diagram has it in there (Chilton's manual). Both of these items where in the car for the last six years, every two years it passed. We told the tech this and he just bad mouthed the company we had went to in the past saying they went out of business and then he said it's under new ownership. LACK OF TRAINING. BEWARE read more

Wonderful place! The young man at the counter greeted me in a nice, friendly manner and I felt welcome there. They did a smog check on our 1500 Silverado pick up truck in less than 15 minutes...too quick for me because I was getting into a Batman movie they had on a flat screen tv in the waiting area/lobby! They're easy to find, too. I highly recommend Autotek for smog check needs; we'll be taking all our cars there from now on! I'm not sure what his name was, but the main guy who's always at the front desk, has had an extremely arrogant and condescending toward me on multiple times that I've been in. It's been my fault that I kept going there but it was local and I was hoping that it would be a real fast get in, get it done, and get out process. After this last incident I've had with them it would well be worth the drive to go practically anywhere else. Even after multiple chances for them to change their attitude, nothing has changed. They also have given "recommendations" of what might be wrong to why my truck didn't pass the smog, but multiple mechanics I know and have asked about what they said had no clue what they were talking about and didn't diagnose anything wrong with my truck along with what they had said. In short they are mechanically incompetent and belittling to you when making any such recommendations. In shot I have experienced extremely poor customer service on multiple occasions. They don't treat customers in a manner that they would like repeat business. read more

This place appears to not exist anymore, unless it's just going through major renovations. I thought it was great the one time I came.

Obviously its a smog place so there's not much to say but the place was clean. Their service is not great. The girl at the front desk tells me it would be about a half hour and asks if that okay. Then it ends up taking almost an hour and a half. I wouldn't have a problem waiting if that was told to me in the first place. I understand sometimes things take longer than expected but at least let the person waiting know. When I asked the two people working didn't seem to care. read more

I have been going to this location for the past 6 years for my smog checks. Always have a positive experience, guess that's why I keep returning. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. I feel that they are very honest. Definitely will keep coming here and recommending it to others. read more

When it comes to recommending a smog center to go to, I always go to or recommend Autotek. Over the years, we have had excellent service and the staff there are very professional in pointing out potential problems that our vehicles may have. read more

I own this car for about 6 years, It usually passes smog no problem. It's a 2009 with 70k miles. Went to this place and was told that air filter hose need to be changed due to not tightly attached. Went to different smog check station and pass without any issue.... Don't waste time on this place. Good thing they don't charge you if you don't pass read more

Honestly, I took my daughter's Honda in for a smog check, chose a magazine and sat down believing that I would be reading a couple of articles while I waited. Instead, after skimming through a magazine and starting an article, they announced that my car was done and had passed. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and thought I was being "punked". The price was appropriate and the employees couldn't have been nicer. The business is a little out of the way from the main drag but well worth the drive when you consider that you are getting fast and honest service. I intend to come back for other services now that I have found them due to a friend's recommnedation. I couldn't be happier!!! read more

please do not go here. I failed 2 times, passed at a 'reputable' smog station the same day. They were indifferent, negative and stated my 'free re-test' was a 'fail' so only do it if I was willing to wait....what a bad experience. Said I had to take apart my engine to fix problem. Not true. Autotek came with good reviews and was near my home, so I was a happy to go at first. Even after I failed, then fixed a couple obvious problems I was expecting good service and not an aggressive inquiry as to how I fixed my 'problems'. This may be a reputable business, but the employees are extremely unprofessional and need better training. read more

BEWARE 8/14/2014 I have an older vehicle with only 109,000 that I had taken to Autotek to be smoged 2 years ago Autotek passed it with no problems. I took it back too them for my 2 year DMV smog with only 1500 mile driven since the 1st. test, and it fail visual inspection do to vacuum lines not correct but it did pass emissions. I took it back to them and paid over $200 too have Autotek correct the problem. Then Autotek told me there was a solenoid broken and the timing was not correct so I replaced it. This vehicle has always started and run really strong with no problems and so I took it back to Autotek too be smoged again and they charged me $65 to retime the engine and it failed again. Autotek told me I need it had a miss new spark plug wires so I got into the vehicle and it wouldn't even start. I think they just wanted to do more work on my vehicle; Autotek had to jump start the engine and I barely got it home it ran so bad. When I got it back to my shop it wouldn't even jump start. I found a small 3/8" very clean nut that is use for electrical connections on top of the engine that I know wasn't there before because of where it was. I use to recommend them to other friends but not anymore. Last time to have them work on anything. They deserve no stars. read more

We presented this Autotek with a challenge with our 2005 Subaru Forrester. This car was previously owned by my parents in Colorado and they battled with the engine light on problem since the day the warranty on the car expired. They spent thousands of dollars with multiple part replacements but every year the light came back on. Upon entering California we knew a smog check was needed to register, we didn't know the engine light would be a problem and not allow for a smog test to be performed. The mechanic was amazing, after a week at the shop he figured out the problem, found the necessary parts and knew exactly what had been done to the car over the years without us telling him (I had the repair history on the car but did not show him). Essentially he fixed the problem in one week that the dealer in Colorado couldn't do in 10 years and the car passed the smog test. The fix was not cheap but it was worth it. You know you have a good mechanic and trusted owner when you show up to get the car and they bring out a box with all the old parts so they can show you exactly what was wrong. I have used Autotek in the past for our other cars due to the convenience, but I had no idea how honest and talented they are until our Forrester came to town. My husband and I highly recommend Autotek for your smog checks and repairs! read more

Yikes - Stay away if you have anything that is not stock, even if you have the approved CARB EO sticker and all back-up paperwork. Brought in a supercharger that are part of a kit from toyota and the tech looked at the paperwork and says that it does not state your vehicle, it only says truck. Funny thing is as I tried to explain that this is the paperwork the supplier sent and also the DMV along with the Ref agreed that it is the correct paperwork he just cut me off and said that he could not even do the smog. I called the dealer and also the manufacturer and this is indeed the correct paperwork and also the Ref agreed again with me. I understand it is CYA for them but to loose 60 bucks without even taking 5 minutes to make a phone call to their local ref or CARB is just plain crap. Again, don't go here if you have anything modified as they just don't get it. As many TRD superchargers on the road you would think they would run into one or two. I guess wiith a pass or no pay policy they are very stringent on what they will test. BTW - went to Smog n go - yeah you guessed it - Passed and they made one phone call and it took two minutes - Bada bing bada boom I slapt them my 60 bucks and smiled all the way to the DMV.. read more
