I ordered a remanufactured one from Autozone and their vendor was not able to provide them one after a 2 week wait. I found Northlake Auto Recyclers online and they had the head I needed in stock and already pulled. It was off a 2018 Dodge Journey. Cost for the head was $125. They come with a disclaimer that heads are for use as cores to be rebuilt only and are only guaranteed not to be cracked or warped. I took the head to a machine shop and the tech said it was in such good condition that he did not recommend rebuilding it and only did a quick milling of the sealing surfaces to be sure it was true and clean for the head gasket. Just started up the car and it runs great. I highly recommend this place. It is not a junkyard. It is more similar to a parts store but all the parts are used. You go in, tell the guys at the counter what you want, and they go in back and get it off a shelf for you. They have tons of parts for late model cars. The employee said they specialize in cars 7 years and newer.

He sent me the correct mirror I took it to the shop and there was a crack in the mirror housing that appeared after painting prep. The shop where I took the car said I should use the mirror because of the crack so they repaired the mirror that was on the car originally. I told Frank we didn't need either mirror so he sent me a mailing label I shipped them back he credited my credit card! during the whole process Frank was totally helpful and easy to deal with. After giving him the year and model of my vehicle, he informed me that I had two different price options due to the turbo: $37.99 or about $68 for synthetic. I went with the cheaper option for now but will go synthetic in the future. He also stated they go by appointment only on Saturdays but they had a cancellation so I was able to get a 10:00 a.m. appointment. After arriving and completing the rebate for my oil change, I took a seat in the waiting room. What a cozy space! A small kitchenette houses a coffee machine and a mini fridge holds bottled water. There are also drink and snack vending machines. There are some toys for the kiddos and a nice flat screen TV with Direct TV. Deep-set leather chairs (four of them) cushion you and are super comfortable. There is also a love seat for additional seating. While waiting, one of the service advisers came into the waiting room and asked those of us waiting if we'd like water or coffee. Even though we were all capable of getting it ourselves, that gesture was a great representation of their level of customer service. My entire stay was about an hour which is what I expected. I wasn't in a hurry and I know from working at dealerships in the past that Saturdays can be quite busy for service departments. Charlie, the assistant service manager, was who I dealt with. He was extremely helpful from start to finish. The other gentleman, I think his name was Eddie, was very helpful, too. Besides the oil change, my car also had a leak somewhere near the transfer case, so I left the ol' girl behind so the necessary repairs could be made while still under warranty. I was given a loaner vehicle to drive while my car was being serviced, which is fun because it's always nice to have a brand new car for a few days. Zoom zoom. The dealership itself is beautiful and all of those sexy, brand new Mazdas were enticing, but I didn't go near the showroom as I wanted to avoid the temptation. I've had my car for six months so I am definitely not in the market for anything any time soon. The hubby is next in line for that and I have no doubt that when we are ready, we will purchase from here. We love our Mazdas and every employee I dealt with here has given me confidence in being lifetime Continental Mazda customers.
