I would not ever buy or have an Rv serviced here ! Mike the service manager is a POS. promised me several times that the coach would be ready and never delivered, ten months to get it repaired. Initially I was going to share a negative review but after thinking it all through I realized that we all make mistakes and sometimes are even "forced/pressured" to offer false information for whatever the reason may be. So to be fair this review, (from my experience), is more of a precautionary review. Before purchasing ANY RV from this or any dealership, I strongly encourage you to do your homework. Ask as many questions that you can think of. No question is too silly and if bothers the salesman simply tell them to have a nice day and take your business elsewhere. Check the history, if you can of the unit you intend to purchase if it has been used of course. You can do so by simply entering the VIN number online. Ask if the unit(s) have had more than one owner. Chances are they have. ALWAYS COMPARE prices. Most dealers will price match and give you an even better deal and can actually deliver a unit to your place. Smaller dealerships will do just that and more for you to earn your business compared to the larger, glitzy dealerships, provided they have the same unit in stock or something close to what you're looking for. You're purchasing an RV and NOT the fancy brightly lit showroom! Finally, you can even take a nice short road trip out to Middlebury, Indiana and areas close by that manufacturer the RV's to see exactly how they are manufactured OR you can always YouTube a particular RV as well. ALWAYS get a second, even third opinion on the unit(s) and their prices. Look closely for any hidden dealer fees whether if it's a new unit or a used one. Never settle for the first dealership you visit just because it's conveniently located. It's YOUR hard earned money folks. read more

So my husband I rolled into Terry's at 5:12 - 12 minutes after closing. Fortunately for us, Sean (the sales guy) was in the process of closing up but instead he stopped and was super accommodating. He showed us a bunch of RVs - and when I apologized for it being after close, he insisted it was 'ok', and he took the time to learn what we were looking for, and what would work for us. We finally found a trailer that seemed perfect! But my husband wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger - we were selling our smaller one and he wanted to make sure he had a buyer. Not exactly what a sales person wants to hear when it's an hour after closing! But instead of being frustrated, he couldn't have been nicer! He even gave us his cell phone number and told him he was available for any question. I did end up texting him a few questions that night (i know, I'm that PITA customer...). In the end, we put down a deposit the next morning. Then enter Allen...the Finance Guy. Turns out we were a little bit of a difficult finance! We had no idea this would be the case. But Allen worked diligently for us. In the end, we couldn't get financed - but he provided us with another idea. ALWAYS respectful, even when being direct, I took his idea and within 30 minutes had the loan and the check the next day! It can be embarrassing when things do not go as planned - but Terry's made us feel comfortable at all times. It couldn't have been a better experience! THANK YOU Sean and Allen! I consigned my RV to Terry's and I experienced exceptional service throughout the entire process. I interacted with Sean and Tim in sales and Mike S in finance. All very professional and very knowledgeable. They made the entire process easy and stress free as all details of the consignment process were very clearly explained. They advertised my RV on several sites as they said they would and sold it in less than 3 days. Perfect! I would also add that the dealership appears to be spotless! Mike in that service department the straight-up lied because he didn't feel like doing warranty work. Putting my families lives at risk. He was Happy to fix everything that insurance would cover even stuff that didnt need fixing. But when it came to warranty work they didnt even do the inspections they claimed they did, let alone fix anything. Told me there is no leaks or water damage below my floor. Said they inspected up under there and that it was just an open channel for vents. Even put this in writing and told me he personally looked and there was nothing. I Brought it directly to another shop and they found the floor is rotted and completely covered in mold. That me and my family are lucky to be alive. they found the leaks, and now keystone is having to replace the entire floor maybe the whole trailer. Lying to, and endangering your customers this way, out of laziness, is clearly unethical and probably criminally negligent. we will see what the AG, and police think now that i have all the paperwork from both shops. And to top it off the GM or owner wont even respond to me. Do not buy your trailer here. Go somewhere with a good track record of warranty repair and will stand behind their products. If you want a keystone trailer theres dozens of dealers in the area, all more ethical than this place. Finally spoke to a person claiming to be the GM asked whats being done about this. he laughed said he wont do anything abiut this and hung up on me. This place should be burned to the ground with mike and the GM inside. But no one wants to go to prison even if for a morally right reason, so just avoid this place and go elsewhere. read more

We store our 35' RV at Terry's and have our pre/post season maintenance as well as repairs done here including a new power awning, hot water heater replacement, new porcelain toilet upgrade, hydraulic lift replacement and some electrical work. Mike in Service has always been more than helpful (and patient as we were first time RV owners), prices were at-market for the northern IL area and payment has always been safe and uneventful. Terry's RV and Salesman Sean were excellent. Couldn't have asked for a better customer service experience. Since July of 2020 I was looking for an RV. New to Camping, I didn't know what I was looking for. Called several dealerships and none would take the time to help me unless I was ready to buy right away. I came across Terry's RV in January and saw one that may have been a right fit. Spoke to Sean who said he just sold it an hour ago but if I wanted to take a look and ask question, to come by and he can show it to me. The one that was sold was perfect for us. No pressure or obligation to make a decision. He stated that if we are interested, he can order a new one. Ended up placing a small deposit and ordered a new RV. I had a 2006 Coachman Concord that I was going to trade for a 2012 Coachman Encounter. I spoke to the sales man on the phone, emailed him pics, of my rig, and thought we had everything worked out. I drove down a few days before Xmas with my RV and that's when it hit the fan. Once I was there they tried to screw me around on my trade. They claimed my awning did not work until I explained to them its a manual awning. Then they tried to complain about the roof. My rig was in good condition, very clean. As it turned out, my rig was in much better condition then the one they sold me. Not only this but they failed to tell me on the phone that the rig I was buying needed a mattress, there was none, the carpet was dirty, they did not have the owners manuals, the TV and audio did not work etc. I am not exaggerating when I tell you at 8pm days before Xmas I am in a shouting match with them in their showroom because they offered me a price for my rig, gave me a price for theirs over the phone and once I got there, all the numbers changed and they played games about what was told to me on the phone. I should of walked out. The salesman, conman, whatever you call him was telling me how he had to go because he was playing santa clause somewhere and had to go, come back later. Huh What? I just drove an RV in the winter 60 miles each way to do business. We ended up making a deal, as we both had to compromise but I just wanted to finish and get the hell out of there. If the experience was not bad enough, once I owned their rig, I found out what condition it was really in. Therig was never winterized by them and the hot water tank cracked and leaked. Your in the RV business, your operate in Chicagoland and you don't winterize your used trade in RV's? I had to go to Genral RV by me to get the electrical work done so the tv, radio and awning all worked. Then had to go to Arts Rv's in Carol Stream to have a new hot water tank installed, new fan above drivers seat, new lockset, and a host of other things I cant remember at this time. I also found out the first time it rained real hard that the roof leaked in the reach of the coach. The finance manager obviously gets a kickback from the warrantee company because he insists you take a warrantee and then he complexly lies to you about what it covers. 3300 waste of money. I am not in the business, I am not a rival RV center, I was a customer. Terrys RV could be selling rigs for half of what anyone else is and I wouldn't buy from them again. They are the one and only company I have ever given a 1 start to and If I could go lower I would. To say they are used car salesman is giving used car salesman a bad name. They are unprofessional lying conmen who couldn't care less who they rob and lie to. I am warning everyone, any positive reviews for this outfit was made by them. They are the type to write their own positive reviews to offset the negative ones they get legitimately. Do yourself a favor, there are a lot of other RV companies out there, take your business to any of the other companies, just stay away from Terrys RV. read more

Bought our RV from there recently but felt as soon as we signed the dotted line they did not go out of their way to assist. No help in transferring from one motorhome to the other. Without any doubt, Terry's is the most unethical vehicle dealer I've ever dealt with. I placed an RV order with them. They agreed to order it with a specific piece of equipment which they thought might no longer be available. I have, IN WRITING, from them, that if the vehicle came in without this specific equipment they would credit me $1,200 against the balance I owed. The vehicle came in without this equipment, but they refused to credit me because they claimed they never agreed to do that even after I told them they had, in fact, agreed in writing. Moreover, the CONTRACT they signed stated a specific price for the vehicle. Again, when the vehicle arrived, they wanted an additional $4,600, although there was no provision in the contract for them to increase the price. read more

We had the best service from Sean, no pressure or slimey tactics at all. Great prices, great warranties, and excellent service. We bought our Aspen Trail LE in May, and we went back to have it winterized today. We were in and out in an hour and the staff was friendly and courteous. Left a deposit on a Monday, requested a refund on a Tuesday and we were told it would be processed. Had to call again on Thursday when we were asked if there was something else they could do to proceed with a sale and when we said no they then said they needed our full card information again. Terry's RV service department is the worst experience we have ever had. Mike is extremely, rude, loud, dishonest and unprofessional. His boss Bill (the buck stops here guy no one else you can talk to) is just as bad. I guess the have never heard the customer is always right. We had $1400 worth of work done for a leak in the water system. Took the RV on vacation, low and behold same leaks. Mike and Bill insulted us and said it must be something we did. Brought the RV into Terrys to have them look at it. They just said we don't need your kind here, walked back into the building and closed the doors. Worst business ethic I have ever experienced. Having a 2-week layover in the Chicago area I contacted Terry's RV Center. Chose this place to shop for an RV. This was supposed to be a late Christmas present for our family. Looked up the place online and chose it over a different one because other dealers posted that they would be closed for the holidays. There was no such posting for Terry's. So we piled into car and drove for an hour and half, got there only to find a sign on the door that said it was closed for the holidays. Could've posted this on their website. What's more, their service center was open and when we asked them about looking around (very politely), the guy there (very unpolitely) told us "not my problem, not my department. Not even a sorry. We bought a 1999 Mountain Aire . It was a good sales experience. We have used the service department for repairs and were satisfied. However, this past service will be our last. The power mirrors weren't always working and they couldn't find the problem because they happened to be working when it was in the shop. When we picked it up they stopped working before we got home. We called and talked to service and asked if they thought it might be the switches? We were told it was possibly the problem and they would order the two switches. The switches were around $160. When we got the switches they did not solve the problem. It was ONLY when we went to return them that we told there was no return! They won't even consider any alternative. They have received thousands of dollars on services and we were considering purchasing a diesel pusher. We are done with this dealership. read more

Worst experience dealing with these people. Do not give them your credit card info. They charged our card 3 times totalling over $5,000 then said they would give us back some of our money but they would not give back $1,000 because "they had to prep a vehicle" when we never signed anything committing to buy a thing. Mike in finance is extremely rude. They play games when trying to get your money back saying oh, you'll have to talk to this person (who never calls us back) then we finally get a hold of them and they say oh, you need t ok talk to this other person about that... bunch of games. We told them on several occasions that we did not want to go forward with buying from them and they would just send us a new proposal. They don't listen. I would never do business with this company. I plan on submitting a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Buyer beware stay away from these people. read more

Bought a RV from Terry's a couple years ago. Upon signing paper work the finance manager urged us to purchase an extended warranty due to RV's being notorious for roof leaks. I was a little skeptical but he promised our unit would be covered bumper to bumper for 10 years!!! So I agreed. So after owning a couple of years we had a list of repairs needed to be addressed. After dropping off unit at dealer we received a call saying that most of items were not covered! I explained that we were told bumper to bumper and they said there was no such coverage. After almost a 900$ bill I called the warranty company directly. They informed me that only a small portion of the unit was covered!!!! And the warranty was for 7 years and not 10!!! Plus the main selling factor in the warranty was the roof was covered. Turns out the roof wasn't covered at all!!!! I feel totally lied to and taken advantage of. They didn't even include a copy of warranty contract with our paper work folder. If I would of know these items weren't covered I would of never purchased the extended warranty but the finance manager assured me that I wouldn't have to pay a dime for 10 years on any thing that went wrong with unit. Oh ya and by the way they failed to inform me also the warranty had a deductible. SO BASICALLY. BUYER BEWARE. A SCAM ARTIST DEALER!!!! read more
