If I could give 0 stars I would. The absolute worst dealership I have ever walked into! This dealership sold me a used vehicle with a bad transmission and did absolutely nothing to help or compensate me for my time or extra money I had to spend to get the vehicle towed back to them and "inspected". The vehicle was at the dealership for almost 10 days with 0 contact on the status. Finally, I called and was told yes you need a new trans, after they claimed to only have driven it around the parking lot. No actual inspection was done. Then, I was told they can do a trans flush for $750, but it would have to be done at the other Rizza dealer, because it's a GM, and they have no GM mechanics! I'm genuinely curious to know how you can sell a used car but have no one capable of inspecting it, nor advising a customer that their vehicle cannot be serviced there, or even communicating the status without being harassed. I would think I was being patient by giving them the time and opportunity to give me an update on a vehicle I purchased from them, less than 90 days ago. Save your time and money, go elsewhere. I am out of state and was going to wire funds to pay cash. I got a call the dealer sold the car the same night out from under me. Description of complaint: On 07/31/24 @1:30pm I came in to buy out my lease for my 2021 Acura RDX I explained that all my payments are paid off. My understanding was that my buy out as written on the Original contract states that I Have the OPTION AT END OF LEASE TERM to purchase the Vehicle for $ 26,793.20. plus any required taxes and fees. They ended up charging me $29,500.00 plus fees and taxes along with forcing me to get new plates. they stated that is a new law. Which came out to $32,675.20 after taxes and fees They payed off 26,751.43 off my loan why was I charged $32,675.20. Where did the rest of the money go. Not to mention the only reason I went with them they told me I could get the 1.99% interest rate if I certified it. Than told they're going to certified was told Certification would be $800. but they can't give me the 1.99 that I have to go with 7.09% they said the bank said my car was to old. Also they never did any inspection on my vehicle the keys were in my possession the whole time. On 08/7/24 I've tried many times to ask and resolve this issue with Jay the sales man and the GM I asked him to explain why I was over charged. his best explanation was the difference is other fees and taxes from the back office. I again asked him why they're not listed on the sales contract he claims they don't have to list them And he really didn't know. On 8/14/24 I came in with Hopes of talking to Pat Dazzo (GM) after standing around the show room trying to find someone to help. We walked over to Pats office. He asked did you need something. I started I was looking to find out why I was overcharged on my lease buy out and if I have gap. I wasn't geven any paper work and no one explained it to me. Pat Said I'm not dealing with your paper work you have to see Jay and he's not here. I told him that he told me he should be in around 1pm. Pat Said That you can ether wait or leave. Being the GM who signed off on my paperwork you think he would help explain or look in to it. The both of them just basically pushed me away. After many attempts of trying to resolve this, or even get an explanation of why I was overcharged or show proof for what I paid for. They basically give me the cold shoulder and won't talk to me. I feel taken advantage of.and cheated. To be a loyal customer. For 3 years you think they would at least look in to it. But they know they screwed me over and I guess there reputation is true. Went in to look at MDX Type S which right off the bat, I was told they had none. That's the only thing the "Sales Consultant" Jim Sabbia could answer, as he had not a clue about anything else. When we walked into the showroom he asked the other guys about my initial questions about engine specs etc. He also asked them about my next inquiry about difference in price between different models as he had no clue about that either. When I asked the price of the showroom model, he priced it $10K over what it really was when - again corrected by another associate. How could someone get a job as a salesman and not take a book home to try to learn what it is he is supposed to be selling! What is this guy's function because I probably know more about Acuras than he does! I'd say go to McGrath because otherwise at Rizza you better know all the answers yourself! read more

BEWARE! I am not one to go out of my way and leave a bad review, but this dealership is terrible. Be very cautious. I decided to go to Joe Rizza Acura to buy out my lease, what seemed to be a great dealership. I told the manager multiple times I just want to see what Acura financial approves me for. I filled out the credit application to see what "Acura financial" would give me as a rate, after seeing that their finance guy shot my credit application everywhere, I let the salesman know my concerns, he tells me to sit with the finance guy (who never introduced himself), so there's less confusion . Once I got in his office rudely throws an approval (11.9% from another bank) on the desk, I told him that I only wanted to see what Acura approved, and if I didn't like it I'd go to my bank.Then I ask him if he is adding points to the buy rate (banks approved rate). Adding points, meaning adding additional percentage to the banks approval, he blatantly tells me yes we are, as in he added points to my approval for dealer profit. Then the finance guy goes on to tell me that it is what it is, like it or not. "That's what Infiniti is doing" as if Infiniti has anything to do with Acura. Disgusting way to talk to a customers who look at Acura as a great brand. Makes you question the rest of the Joe Rizza dealerships. Very disrespectful and misleading. This is no way to conduct business. Such a shame that a dealership with such good integrity, shows its true colors. Very shady dealership. That finance guy exposed what really goes on at Joe Rizza. I recently purchased my 2nd vehicle from Rizza Acura in Orland Park Spring 2023. The experience was not the same the 2nd time around. I traded in my 1st vehicle and that vehicle was sold to auction in the state of Wisconsin with the plates still on the vehicle. Now I am getting citations from Milwaukee and risk suspension of my license because the plates were not properly destroyed as I had been informed. I am now left to figure this out as I have yet to receive a call back from the GM Mr. Pat Dazzo. This is not good customer service and seems to be an avoidance. My vehicle was brought in for a warranty issue and they broke another item in the process which they covered as another warranty item without admitting to the error. When fixing the 2nd item, they left a stain on the leather seat. Luckily most of it came off with a bit of elbow grease. The service department was once good but seemed to gone downhill in the last few years. Too bad, Acura produces great vehicles. A little pricey but good. I will be going back to another Acura dealership for service. A little inconvenient but may be worth it, especially if you keep your vehicles for a long time. read more

I absolutely loved my Acura TLX, but I will never buy/lease another Acura from Joe Rizza. The first bad impression, the salesperson, Gerald Dumas, did not give me the time of day!! He talked down to me when it came to pricing, like I couldn't afford it, and he was short with me and my parents. It was so bad I rethought getting an Acura. I went back there and dealt with the Sales Manager directly and told him about my bad experience. With no communication with the salesperson i got a great deal and left with the car I wanted. Returning my lease: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have never leased a car before so I did not know the process. I went to the dealership to ask questions so I would be prepared and I didnt end up with unexpected charges. I was told once the process started I would have 2 weeks to return the vehicle to Rizza. I called Rizza for more information and a very rude woman in the service dpmt told me to call Acura Financials, I was confused, but she just kept repeating that without providing any additional guidance. I contacted Rizza Acura of Orland Park on 1/18/24. I received a call later that evening from Vince V. We chatted and I explained when to expect me. In the meantime, I completed an online pre approval application but after submitting it, they needed additional information and stated we will contact you. So the following day I pretty much waited all morning for someone to reach out but I eventually ended up calling them and left a message. The salesperson, Vince V. called me back to say he will be sending a link to me to complete the application. I asked if this was a soft or hard pull and he said, soft pull. I completed the application late Friday morning. Now, its Saturday. Still nothing. So, at this point, Rizza Acura does not want my money and I told Vince I will be going to another dealership. I highly recommend Advantage Acura of Naperville and ask for the salesperson John E. I purchased a new 2024 on Saturday the 20th. On that following Monday around 730ish at night, I get an alert that someone was trying to access my credit. I froze my credit reports when I was done in finance at Advantage Acura that past Saturday. I looked at the alert message and Joe Rizza Acura tried to run my credit but could not because it was FROZEN. I immediately contacted Vince and he played like he did not know what was going on and said he would get to the bottom of what happened. If I could give zero stars I would. This is the most dishonest dealership we have ever been to EVER! My husband had a verbal agreement and multiple texts with salesman Jeremy about an Acura RDX that we were driving from out of town to purchase for our newly 16 year old son. Jeremy stated if we came that same day the deal was good. We loaded up our 3 kids and drove 2 hours to purchase the vehicle. We called Jeremy as we were leaving our driveway to let him know we were on our way. When we arrived they informed us they sold it. No apologies from anyone. Then their story changed several times about what actually happened to the car we came to purchase. They then tried to sell us vehicles that they knew were not close to our budget. What they did was an illegal bait and switch. They purposely had us drive from out of town knowing they did not have the vehicle we were coming for to trap us into buying something more expensive. Nobody sells and finishes a car deal in under 2 hours...they were lying the entire time. If you've ever purchased a vehicle you know it's a half a day process minimum. THESE PEOPLE ARE LIARS!!! While my buying and service experience were great, I have to mark them down due to new evidence. Although a salesman told me that when they sell a used Acura a mechanic goes over it to make sure everything is taken care of, I have recently found several things that TSBs had been issued for that were not repaired. Some of them were even covered at the time of purchase, but no longer. One of them is over $1,000 to repair, and until it is repaired, none of the airbags will work. Great job, Rizza, way to care about the customer. I realize this is a common practice with used vehicles, and I figured they were lying about it. A salesman called to find out what my problem was and had the service manager call me. The service manager "generously" offered to fix the problem if I was willing to pay them full price to do it. I've had other Acura dealers treat me much better, some even ordered me touch-up paint for free when I asked them about it. I won't be dealing with Rizza again. read more

NIGHTMARE!! Let me begin by stating that I myself will NEVER purchase another vehicle or recommend anyone buy a vehicle from this dealership or any rizza dealership as long as I live and I will be sure to tell as many people this story that I come into contact with and also every dealer I have told my story too has told me that what they did to a customer was complete b.s. I purchased a used 2015 ford explorer on July 14 2020, I paid $18,600 from rizza Acura, the night I brought the vehicle home I noticed it was making grinding noises in the steering rack when I turned the steering wheel side to side and when I was driving the vehicle home I noticed another noise was coming from the rear of the vehicle. I called rizza Acura the next day they told me to bring the vehicle into their service department when I had time available so I left work early to do so. I told them the issues I had noticed and left the vehicle overnight. They called me the next day and said that the grinding noise when steering was CONSIDERED NORMAL for electronic power steering and couldn't find the other noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. (Let me tell you that I myself am a Technician and no grinding noises occuring in any mechanical component is considered NORMAL). I picked up my vehicle and made an appointment for a certified Ford dealer to give me a second opinion on the issues I was having because something wasnt right and also because Acura mechanics are not certified in Ford vehicles seeing how Acura is Honda. I dropped my vehicle off at Hawk Ford in oak lawn I paid $250 dollars OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. I had Ford do a 110 point used vehicle inspection on the vehicle. After my inspection Ford concluded that there was in fact a FAILING STEERING RACK noise as well as a screeching noise coming from the rear of the vehicle and also stated they noticed oil by the valve cover and there could be a possible leak. I immediately upon leaving the Ford dealership and very pissed off contacted rizza acura and spoke to the service manager Pat Dazzo asked me to email him the invoices from Ford as proof which I did right away. Pat Dazzo told me over the phone "in order for rizza acura to do anything I had to bring the vehicle back for a second inspection" which would technically be a 3rd used vehicle inspection because rizza told me that they had done a previous used car inspection when the vehicle was traded in by first owner. I dropped my vehicle off at for a SECOND TIME at rizza acura for service and the next day the service department called me and then stated that YESS!! NOW MAGICALLY THERE IS A NON NORMAL NOISE COMING FROM THE FAILING STEERING RACK (isnt that somthing?!) and they also stated that they had fixed the squeaking noise coming from the rear brakes but didn't mention anything about the valve cover possible leak. They kept my car from Friday till Monday which I again had to leave work early Friday in order to drop my car off at their dealership, they called me to pick it up Monday stated they fixed the brake squeak but that the steering rack problem was "pending warranty". 2 days later the Sales manager Pat Dazzo called me to tell me that they couldn't cover the repair that it was to expensive for them!!! and the repair was quoted at $2650 plus tax and that wasn't even including an alignment. I then tryed to contact Joe rizza the dealership owner at his office numerous times and left voicemails even spoke to his secretary and explained to her what had happened and I never got a call back. All of this happened within the first 25 days of owning the vehicle. So to summarize I gave this dealership 18,000 thousand dollars of my money for a reliable vehicle for myself and my family, I gave them my business as a customer only to buy a car that supposedly had a used car inspection before I inquired only to find out that the power steering rack is failing which is going to cost over 3000 to replace on top of the 18,600 I spent purchasing the vehicle and the 250 dollars i spent for a certified Ford used vehicle second 110 point inspection and theres a possible valve cover leak also. I have all of the dates and invoices text messages to prove all of this and that it infact happened so if the fellas at rizza want to try and bring this to court stating that its false testimony then I would love to see you try. If your reading this and you have a family you struggle everyday to make ends meet and are a hard working contributing citizen then do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. These people are liars they are snakes and they dont give a damn about their customers or if their customers have kids and a family with a mortgage and Bills and that hierarchy goes all the way to the owners. Joe Rizza is not the closest acura dealership to my house, but they certainly have better service/prices than the other acura dealerships which I have inquired about which are closer. When I have an appointment, they pretty much get me in and out. and even if it takes a long time, it's no big deal because they have wifi, and I can still work while I wait which is convenient. A free car wash every time my car is serviced is a plus. and, they aren't always trying to sell me on a bunch of stuff I dont need. and I always seem to get a coupon for a discount on my service when I'm as well! I have also bought my last two cars from here, but to tell the truth, my current car, I've had for 6 years now, so I really don't remember my buying experience that well. I took my Acura RSX in here to get a transmission fluid flush and change (I checked it two days before and the level was low). The service desk man called me an hour or two later and told me I was all set, the car was ready to be picked up. The next day I looked under the hood when I got to work to make sure everything looked OK and there was transmission fluid all over the engine compartment and the dipstick (also serves as the cap to the transmission) was missing. When I called them the service man who had helped me the night before said that he knew that the dipstick was missing, but he just figured I knew about it. Seriously? No mention of this to me at all, or noting of it on my paperwork. For the service department to let someone drive away with no cap on the transmission that they just serviced, to me, is nothing short of sabotage. The service man said that he should have mentioned something, and if I bring it back in they will "clean it up, and put a dipstick in it". I said that I'm not even sure if I should drive it because I don't know how much fluid is left. When I tried to explain to the service man that he needs to understand the severity of sending people away with no cap on the transmission, he was dismissive, and said he really didn't understand how it worked. Yet, apparently he was the one that made the decision that it wasn't a piece of information that I needed to be made aware of before sending me off to ruin a perfectly good transmission. Going to Joe Rizza Acura was a bit of a drive for us, but after searching for a used Acura TL we came across one on their website that was a bit over our budget but we wanted to check it out anyway. After being told that it just came in and was not ready to be shown they were very, accommodating to us and actually had the car ready for us when we arrived. We met with our salesperson Gerard and he showed us the car almost immediately and took it for a test drive. Upon returning we sat down and told him that we had a limited budget for a used car for my wife but wanted something Dependable for her and our handicapped son. After a little bit of back and forth we are able to settle on a deal and the car has been such a dream for us. We cannot be any more thankful to Gerard and Anthony the sales manager for working with us and finding us such a great car while being able to afford it and not having to make payments. It was such a relief to have such an easy transaction at a dealership. We felt like both girardin Anthony answer are questions and really listen to our concerns and our wants and found a perfect match. I will definitely tell all who will listen that this is the place to go if you are in need of a car new or used. We will definitely be back for my Acura TL without question. Horrible. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and came out with an 8 inch crack in my windshield. They want to tell me the chip in the windshield was already there. How do they know?
