For me Auto Zone ticked all the boxes to make doing business with them a pleasant experience. I had purchased a O2 Sensor from the Auto Zone close to where I live 5 days before my 300+ mile trip to Pismo Beach,Ca. On the way to my destination the check engine light came on. Once in Pismo Beach I went to the local Auto Zone and explained my issue. They hooked up their reader and it showed that the new O2 Sensor I just purchased had failed. I showed them my receipt from just purchasing the Sensor and they assured me it was under warranty even though I purchased it 300 miles from them at another Auto Zone. I had the tool to replace the sensor so I removed the old one and they gave me another new one. Installed it and no more issues. Auto Zone was Great! read more

Had to special order 3 transmission lines they were supposed to be in the next day one week later still no lines they almost did not want to refund the money until the parts got here. This place is a joke. I went across the street to O'Reillys and they had all three lines in stock. I would not recommend coming to the store at all. I would definitely recommend going to O'Reilly's. Takes only one experience for me to be disappointed and never come back here. I went there to buy a light for my car. A young and inexperienced person helped me out without asking me any specific question regarding my vehicle. He sold me a part that on his judgment was the right one. After a few hours and money I realized that business sold me the wrong part. Today i went back to try to get my money back and after more time (very valuable to me) the cashier gave me a credit store. I feel very disappointed and kinda forcing me to spend MY MONEY on this store. I saved my argument and I walked out. I never going back there ! They should give more training to those kids and maybe they will get more business and make the owners richer and customers satisfied. read more

I want to start by saying one of the ONLY reasons auto zone is getting 4 stars from me today is due to DAVID SILVA. He's one of the friendliest employees here. (And I've been in this area for 8 years now. I've gone to Auto zone probably a dozen times throughout that length of time) He went above and beyond today with helping me change out my headlights. I originally asked Vanessa the manager. I called over the phone to ask for help with them. I could tell by the conversation Vanessa and I were having that I wouldn't be getting any help from her today. When I came in to the store shortly after getting off the phone with her, she came out to look at my headlights and instantly told me that I would have to take it to a body shop where they would have to take off certain parts to get to the lights. LUCKILY, David overheard me talking with the cashier about what I was trying to do and he instantly asked to take a look at my headlights lights. After going out and looking at them he started in on what's seemed like a VERY EASY JOB. He had them changed out and done within less then probably 15-20 minutes. So, with all that said... A BIG SHOUT OUT TO HARD WORKING PEOPLE LIKE DAVID WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE TO. Somebody, please give this man a pretty raise and the management position! Staff directed me to the products I was looking for and explained that they should be receiving one of the items I wanted in the next day or so. I paid for my purchase and left the store. BE careful they will sell you a battery for $150 and install it but cannot reset the radio codes and say yoy have to go to a dealer or mechanic to reset the code they disable with the new battery. That would be another 100 or so. So not a good deal and plentiful of frustration and two trips with still no resolution! read more

Horrible staff and worst customer service ever! First they sold us hose the wrong length. When we came back in and pointed out that he gave us hose that is too short, he said that it can't be returned. AND THIS IS THEIR FAULT!! This was their mistake and we said they need to take it back and we were not given the length of hose we asked for in the first place. The staff here is garbage and does not care if they give you the wrong length of hose. This store needs new staff and management! Don't come here. read more

I asked about another item I was interested in - a sunshade for my in-dash navigation system - but he didn't really look anything up or ask another employee, just said they don't carry them and I should check on Amazon. Very bad management staff. Went in there to spend $80-$100 on full-synthetic, extended life, Mobile1 oil, Mobil 1 oil filter, and a nice flashlight... I'm supposed to get a discount, due to the fact I'm an Uber Driver. I gave Dillon my SKU for the discount. It wasn't working. I told him that's the SKU I've been using for over 1 year now. He kept telling me there's a new one. I've only ever had 1 SKU! He kept telling me what he COULDN'T do for me, Instead of taking taking care of the problem! So imagine my surprise when a gentleman named Teal, who is the real deal (Sorry, couldn't resist) offered to not only help select the right wheel covers for my car, but installed them on our vehicle while we watched! He went above and beyond the call of duty, I've noticed the employees here are a cut above. Solid low pricing when you catch a good sale. Stopped by this AutoZone a couple times this week. Our initial visit was the day we got into Pismo and realized we've forgotten the lock to secure our generator to the toy hauler. I ran in and grabbed a MasterLock keyed cable lock for $16. The guy at the register finished helping me and then moved on to help assist the cashier next to him, while I stood there waiting for my receipt for a couple of minutes. Such helpful staff. It's the Friday before the July 4th weekend around noon,. We came from out of town for a funeral and heading home tomorrow. Our cooling system started leaking and the young man who was delivering parts was so kind as to help us out by calling mechanics in the area to find one who could fix our diesel truck so we could get home. After several calls he found probably the nicest mechanic I've ever dealt with. He placed us in good hands with Souza's. He really went the extra mile. He has a great demeanor and genuinely wanted to assist in any way possible.
