Called today at 10:50 asking if they had a part in stock. They confirmed they had it. I asked for it to be set aside and they took my name and number and asked how long it would take to get there. I answered with the eta of the maps and they said ok , the part will be set aside for you for when you get there. 47 mins later, I arrived and they told me they didn't have the part. Whoever took my call and helped me left at 11:30 and I arrived after they left. Do they take the part home or what ? They looked in a cabinet and didn't see anything so they sent me to another one farther away. Like come on , why tell me you set it aside and once I get there it ain't there. Luckily I came with my husband because the first one I grabbed was already open (he notices these things right away) & the next one I grabbed expired months ago. This location needs to work on removing expired items. Aside from that this place is usually good. Please stay on top of your maintenance of inventory. This is a huge liability. read more

I had a terrible experience at this AutoZone location today around 11:00 AM and wish I had gone somewhere else. When I walked in, I was ignored by an employee named Giovanny, who couldn't even manage a basic hello or welcome. Instead, he just stared at me like I was an alien. After picking up my two items, I had to wait in line for over 20 minutes. There were only two registers open for a crowd of people. When it was finally my turn to pay, my total was $20.94. I handed the cashier a $100 bill, and she flatly told me, "I don't have change, so you can't buy it." I asked if the other open register had change, and she just said, "Nope." It is mind-boggling that a major store with two open registers at 11:00 AM cannot break a bill for a purchase. To top it all off, while I was being denied my purchase over a lack of change, someone was actively stealing sunglasses right by the entrance and none of the staff did a single thing about it. I called Auto Zone to buy a new one and the young lady looked up my Info on the computer and told me that I had less than a Month left on my Battery Warranty and that if I bring it in they would Replace it ,NO CHARGE. I wish I could give a better review, but my experience with AutoZone's batteries has been extremely frustrating. About a year ago, I purchased their most expensive battery for my daughter's car, thinking I was making a smart investment in quality and reliability. Fast forward to July - just a few months later - and the battery was completely dead. They confirmed it couldn't be charged but did honor the warranty and gave me a replacement. I appreciated that at the time. However, last night my daughter's car wouldn't start again. After jumping it, the car still wouldn't hold a charge. I took her Corolla to the Toyota dealership, and they confirmed it was another bad battery. When I went back to AutoZone, I was told I could only get one warranty replacement, which I'd already used. So now I'm stuck buying a new battery elsewhere - this time from Toyota - and I'm out the money for the original "premium" battery that lasted less than a year. Two batteries failing in such a short time is unacceptable, especially when you pay top dollar. I understand warranty limitations, but the product quality here is clearly the issue. I'd recommend buying your battery elsewhere - lesson learned the hard way. read more

My mom recently had an issue with the check engine light of her car and took her car to AutoZone. Robert P helped assist with a diagnostic check and told her it was an issue with her catalytic converter but told her that it probably just needed a cleaning. He recommended she get Cataclean. She was able to get it and after a few days, the check engine light was gone and her car's working fine. Thanks to Robert, my mom was spared from having to spend way more money or time than necessary to fix her car. The process to get her car checked was so easy and she was so grateful for the help. I've been a shopper at this store for a number of years and while the availability of parts has been adequate, the customer service has been very inconsistent. There's a gal currently working there who would greet me when I would enter the store and when I complemented her greeting customers, her reply was "they pay me to say that". Oops, that certainly did not say much for that practice. She's still at the store and after today's shopping experience, it was clear to see her customer service needle had not budged. I realize the store just sells auto parts, but it's my shopping dollars that help keep the lights on. Maybe time for a little training or employee feedback. Had to go in for a new battery. I called ahead to be sure they had what I needed. When I got there there was very little wait and I was helped quickly. Tammy helped me and she was the absolute sweetest. Once she had me checked out, Manny replaced my battery for me. I was done with my entire transaction in less than 15 mins. Professional and fast. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone in our local area. I'd also like to point out that they didn't make me feel like I needed my husband there and didn't treat me like a woman that didn't know anything about her vehicle. This place is ran so poorly. If I could give it 0 stars I would. I placed an online order for in store pick up at 8:40 AM for simple items the website said were in stock. Come 12:40 I contacted customer care to cancel order but they called the store and managed to save their sale by getting it ready for pick up magically. Long story short, they must be thieves at this store because they wanted me to walk out the store with 5 items out of 9 items without any receipt or proof of them "ordering" the other items. They then randomly give me one of the missing items. My situation ended up getting escalated to a female employee with a Grey shirt and blonde hair; which I assume is a manager. She had horrible customer experience skills and clearly did not want to refund me the items acting as if I'm wrong for wanting what I paid for. If you hate your job and helping customers that keep your retail store open is an issue, Please get a new job because you lack business accumen. So I've been frequenting this Autozone for over 20 years and never ever have I felt the way I do right now. Aggravated, annoyed, swindled, robbed, and very angry! I took my battery to be charged there a couple of weeks ago. I sent my son to pick it up three days after, granted it was late he was told that they couldn't find it. I went a couple of days later and was told that it had been recycled. Although aggravating it would have been an honest mistake. I was told to speak with the manager Julian and this is where everything goes down hill. Julian immediately tells me it's 24hrs in a very condescending manner. I admit that really got under my skin. I own a business and I would never be condescending in any way to my customers. Julian then tells me it was picked up by someone else. He also inferred that, that someone was me. I was also questioned as to why I waited so long. When I asked about his tone he responds with what's wrong with my tone (said with a laugh). Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a very respectful man until I'm pushed. I had to hang up and find resolve through his superiors. The resolution should have been a comped battery but im still being charged $75 for it. I agreed because of my tardiness in the matter as a whole and accept my part so thank you Ruben for working that out for me. As for Julian respect goes a long long way. Also I will be contacting your corporate office to lodge a formal complaint. read more

I very rarely give 5-star reviews. I hesitated before giving this one, but since I went in feeling stupid, and came out feeling satisfied, I think this deserves one. Despite the fact that I have replaced starter motors, brake pads, a coil (once), plugs and wires, a radiator fan, in short, a whole bunch of stuff, I seem to have the biggest problem replacing wiper blades! Right before COVID started, I bought some new wiper blades, but then it was three or four months before I tried to replace them. I say, tried. Why are there 82 different possible combinations of blades, connectors, and arms? How about two? Or even one!! So COVID was in full swing, I couldn't go in and have someone from AutoZone help me, so I suffered with crappy blades for more than a year! Today I decided to try again and I'm glad I did. Johna helped me from the moment I walked in. She looked my car up on their computer, found 2 or 3 different blades that should work, and then we went out to try and put them on. After deciphering the hieroglyphics of the instructions, we finally figured out how to make one work. A short trip back to the store for the 2nd one, and to pay, and I quickly had two brand new blades Thanks Johna! I'll be back! read more

I went in to recycle oil and brake fluid (mixed) in containers that could be disposed of. They started to empty the containers but stopped after the second one and came back out saying that there was water in the oil. I told them that was brake fluid and she said they don't take brake fluid mixed in (bs). I guess they got a new manager or something but I've always mixed brake fluid, trans and oil together in the container and brought to this store with no issue. They even had me take the empty container back because they didn't want to toss for me like they used to (was just going to drop off the used fluids and be on my way). I called the Autozone in La Habra and asked if they can take brake fluid mixed with oil and they said yes. In fact, after I showed up the employee there showed me the tank they dump the oil and stuff into and a label said for oil, transmission and brake fluids. Just from that experience, I rather drive further to the La Habra store instead of dealing with that misinformed manager. The other employees I've dealt with over the years were fine and very helpful. read more

What should have been an easy task to help put the new battery in, became a very difficult one thanks to my car. Jacob really showed such amazing tenacity as he spent over 45 minutes trying to solve the puzzle my car created. I called Friday at 9pm and Bryan answered the phone I asked him for a car battery n gave him my vin # he gave me two options n explained the difference Btwn both 3 times before I got it lol now it was 915 n I said can u change the battery too n he said let me ask n they said yes... sooo I got there at 930 Bryan explained they batteries again n I bought one. Well quiet Joseph rang me up and said he would be out to change the battery. Can't comment to other member's experiences, and feel for you if it was negative, but was in the store recently and had a great experience with Tammy and Louis. They took the time to help me with my purchase and Louis went outside to explain and show me where the coils were on my Toyota truck and told me about some trouble shooting tips that were quite helpful. This is a very busy store and I caught them both early in the morning before 8:00 a.m. I suggest that if you need one on one help and advise, get to the store early (depending how busy they are,) they will be more than happy to assist you! I took my car in to this location to have the battery checked and they quickly told me that my alternator was the issue. The next day I called around to try and find a location that had an alternator on hand. When I called the Brea location, they immediately told me it was unlikely that it was my alternator since my car is only 5 years old. I took it in to them and they gave me a second opinion, checking my battery again and showing me the device saying "BAD BATTERY" and saving me a couple hundred dollars. I'm not sure if this is due to inexperience or laziness, but I'm glad I called another store. read more
