Heavy rains yesterday, and my windshield wiper blades needed replacing. I had the damnedest time trying to get the old blades off, and had to come in and watch a YouTube video. But then I spent an hour trying to get the new ones on, and couldn't figure it out. My partner said I looked like a tweaker at 11:30 at night in the carport! I came back today, and Adrian & David put it right on. I may have bent slightly the attachment cover on one, and they swapped it right out - didn't need to buy a new one! Do not visit this location, I do hope that their regional makes some much needed changes. I frequent this location, and have never had any problems until 6/18/19 around 7:20pm. I had purchased an AGM battery for my BMW 550I in 2017. This battery is still under the two year warranty. My battery has had increased battery discharge. I've had to contact roadside assistance several times within a week. I have also charged the battery, and it's not holding a charge. I've already been to a two mechanic shops which told me it's my battery. The rest of the car is fine, no alternator issues. I explained my concerns to AJ Jimenez who states he's the store manager. I asked if he can test the battery, because at this point I have been told to replace the battery. So I'm requesting a new battery under the warranty. Before I could explain anything further he rudely interrupts me and says " I'm going to tell you now, any issues with the battery charge is because of your alternator- not the battery." - well.. I wasn't asking for his mechanical advice. I told him my alternator is fine, it's been checked. I than told him I had roadside assistance come out jump start my battery today. This is where the story gets interesting. He's confrontational, argumentative and condescending. My step dad was with me & reminded me to " tell him how many times I've contacted AAA roadside assistance." ( In my family AAA is interchangeable for roadside assistance, they've been with AAA for years- I have all state roadside assistance. ) AJ Jimenez, the store manager than asks me to give him the name of the technician who went out to service my vehicle. He also asked me the city that I was in when I called, and the make and model of my vehicle. All of this with a horrific attitude, aggressive demeanor insinuating that I did not have a technician come out and check our my battery. I scoffed and asked him if I needed to show him proof or something? ( WTF, what is this? Stop wasting my time and help me with my problem) he said that he's the manager of AAA battery services and that he was going to call and ask them if they came out to service my vehicle today. I corrected myself and I told him it was actually all state roadside assistance. And he started pressing me questioning if I was given a battery test strip readout ( or something like that ) This back and fourth was so awkward. After I showed him proof of my roadside assistance arriving in a text message from them he shut his mouth. He went out to test my battery- told me it needed to be charged but otherwise was ok. He told me to come back tomorrow and ask for the night manager, stating he had no authorization to replace my battery. So after 15 minutes of being treated like shit, I was not given a solution to my problem. I was also going to buy a new HID headlamp, but decided to leave after that poor treatment. This man should not be a manager, yet alone an employee of AutoZone. I will no longer being my business here. I did not feel valued, and I did not come in to be questioned or for someone to insinuate that I'm lying to them. I've never had that type of questioning, and will not put up with it again. I am contacting their regional office and corporate office to file a grievance. I encourage you all to do the same if you've had a bad experience. Being in a position of a manager I would expect exceptional customer service. I received everything short of that. The splash guard detached from my passenger side and was hitting my wheel as I drove. I originally went to Pep Boys as they were around the corner from my house but they said they didn't have what I needed and told me to go to Auto Zone. I stopped in and Andres helped me right away. He took a look at my car and said he could just reattach the splash guard with some zip ties. Within about 2 minutes of waking in he had reattached the splash guard and I was on my way! Aaron and Jorge are lifesavers. My car's battery died. Jorge went above the call of duty to help me clean the battery terminals and install a new battery in the dark at 8pm at night. Then when my car's alarm started going crazy upon installation of the new battery, he helped me for a very very long time trying to disable it. Aaron then came to the rescue and pulled off a trick he learned years ago to finally disable it. In the midst of my car's alarm blaring and horn blasting in their ears, both men were not just professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly patient and kind. They also helped me run diagnostics on the car's new battery, as well as its starter and alternator for free to ensure that I'd have no more problems. I cannot emphasize enough that I had one of the best customer experiences of my life at this AutoZone thanks to both Jorge and Aaron. I will recommend this place to my friends and family.
