RECALL REVIEW: I've…read morebeen putting off doing anything about my Toyota's recalled parts for... long enough that Toyota sent me a letter saying that I literally could die. Oopsies! So I searched for participating dealerships and ended up at Luther Brookdale (mostly because I knew MT Noodles is nearby). I made the appointment and even modified it online with ease. When I pulled into the Service area, I was promptly greeted and handed over the keys to my deathtrap. Richie met me inside and quickly registered me and my car, and even discovered that I was overdue for another recall that they could add to my complimentary order. I was also lucky enough to score a free check engine light diagnostic promo, which I needed (and usually costs $100 there)! I was in and out of there easily, Richie kept me updated on the progress, and they offered a rental car but I opted for the free shuttle pickup the next morning. Donnie, the shuttle driver was so friendly and sweet and knew some great shortcuts too! I highly recommend this location for your recall needs, at least. Oh and the waiting room has free wifi, beverages, and even baked goods.

All around unreliable and poor quality work…read more - got battery installed that last 9 months and fails. Likely a used battery installed. - each time I come in they fail to notify me when car is done and leave me waiting more time than needed. I have to hunt someone down to get my car back. - came in for scheduled appointment service, I wait 3 hours, ask about status of update, they haven't touched car. Another 1.5 hours until finished. All for an oil change and to swap a battery. Why bother making appointments???? - vehicle came in for crash, car in shop for 2 weeks, they return the car with unbalanced tires. Gets fixed. Car still has issues, they refuse to have a different tech look at it. Would not recommend to a friend or family member.

I was surprised when he asked what size engine, model & plates? We had a good chuckle when i jumbled the letters & he replied "well you're not a ford f150". Surprise!! The fella who i discussed the 80s 90s area w whom i thought was also here for an appointment made a plates comment as i left. Oh, hello, i didnt realize you worked here! I appreciated that when i gave the coupon to the tech he stated it was for a basic oil change, i could do synthetic & just pay the difference? I opted that route for $26 & change. From in to out i was there around 45 minutes. After he got me checked in a gal came in w a dog. Surprise...also not a customer. She was Ashley the counter person and her dog? Well just a calm, relaxed Loki. Comfortable waiting room/lobby w four spaced out leather seats. There was a kuerig. Hometown is easy to find & get in to the lot. As w most places Hometown gave my truck a once over.....when my oil change was complete Ashley said there was about half brake pad use. Nothing to be concerned about, i have time, they'll check them again. That was it! Not even a guesstimate for what I'd be looking at! Thanks, no pressure and no hassle! When i was checking in i had handed over the coupon, which was returned to me because "there's a $30 off service coupon". So if i need brakes before it expires.... Thanks for the good service!

Perhaps I'm used to super high prices in CA and lack of customer service on many occasions, though CA does have it's bright shining star establishments as well.. this place just stands out all around! Ten stars!! (if I could) So, I had an issue with control sway bars on our tiny airstream after severe weather coming through S. Dakota.. not vehicle related per se, but worth a try as our garage at home in CA has some guys with trailer experience always willing to help. Worth a shot after no luck with trailer/RV places.. Doug was so awesome just on the phone.. wasn't sure they could help but stop by for a free look over and if they could help they would.. had a couple guys experienced with trailers and thought they could help.. turns out, we did stop by on our way out of town as planned and they totally helped fix our issue with the sway bars - so much appreciation and all no charge. Because of the warm and welcomed interaction on the phone request for help with sway bars.. I knew this shop was top notch. Go figure the AC on our Expedition went out too and had to come in before that trailer appointment and got us on the road in about 45 min with cool AC for about $150.. I mean, seriously in CA I would have been charged $180 just to have it looked at be told "sorry" can't help, our will apply to a $500-800 charge.... Of course I fixed it.. and to be transparent it was the cost to look, troubleshoot, test systems and then add coolant.. We then came back for our scheduled day out look at the trailer and we're on the road. I will choose Hometown Autocare any day any time before ANYONE else!!.. I love these guys and Hometown Autocare, my AC is STILL STRONG and super COLD even over a month later! If we have any issues next summer we are straight back to you! Thank You!!! I've trusted Brausen Family Auto with my cars for 5 years now, and they have not let me down. I appreciate their honesty and the fact that they don't call me "sweetheart" when I walk in the door. I appreciate their recommendations like "If you're just driving around town, this will be fine, but if you're traveling out of state, you need this fixed," and "We could fix this now but it won't negatively affect your brakes and it would cost you a lot of money. Otherwise, we could fix it when you get your brakes replaced and you'll save on labor." (Paraphrased, but these are real things they've said that have been helpful.) It's clear to me that they care about their customers and value customer loyalty over a quick extra buck. Also love the free car wash tickets you get with an oil change.

He truly understands that people have lives and schedules outside of just getting their oil changed. He goes out of his way to make sure you are accommodated. Because they are open until 10:00 makes it so easy to work things around your schedule. They make sure to explain everything that is going on and are as honest as they come. It really takes the headache out of going to a service center. I was once having issues with my tires getting balanced. I had gone to a Firestone to get new tires and they didn't balance them correctly. I then went to my local Jeep dealership to have them rebalance them and still my car was shaking. I became sick of going to the chain service shops and thought I would try out University Service. When I got there I told Dan what had happened with the two dealerships before and he said he will personally check to make sure that his guys balanced my tires correctly!

They were able to do the work and got me on schedule to bring my car in to get this completed. I agreed to their very affordable price and brought my car in our schedule day. They started the project on time and got it done very fast. I took a look on how it looked installed and it was amazing. Everything was welded and installed perfectly.
