Stopped in several months ago on a Saturday morning after 8 am. I asked if I could get my battery tested, and the very short gentlemen told me no. he said I'm by myself and busy. I was the only person in the store. Ok. I said no problem Ill go somewhere else. Today October 28 I visited the store wanting to Change my oil, and inquiring about stp oil filter sales as well as the part number for the correct oil filter, The store has no book in that section to look up the correct filter, which is why I asked. I went to Auto Zone in Orland Park today for windshield wipers and a headlight for my Subaru Outback. What an amazing surprise when Moe offered to install both for FREE!! My battery died because I left my keys in the ignition. I walked a mile to get to Autozone. This location will not price match local competitors. When i asked about Amazon i was told to order it from them and wait a few days. I called another Autozone & was politely told price matching is against their new policy. Weird, bad experience here...and it was only because of how the manager handled the situation. Items were marked one price on the shelves and another on the computer. He rung me out and I began to pay for the items when I realized that the total didn't sound right. We walked over there and we checked together that the barcodes matched which they did, and the prices were what I was telling him they were. He tells me, "yea I don't know why they are that price because its coming up different in my computer." I asked if we could get the manager, because I assumed he said those things because he didn't know how to fix them. Then he told me he was the manager! Then said he couldn't change what the register said, and that wasn't true... he's the manager!! We went back and forth over it...again and again... He was really trying not going to fix something they messed up... Until... I told him, "I am not going to get these items because I thought they were the price on the shelf but since its different, that's okay, I'll get it cheaper somewhere else...just give me my money back." Then he walks away mad, goes to another register, doesn't tell me what he's doing. Comes back and hands me back change....and begins on the next customer. Doesn't say a word... I ask him, "what just happened??" He says as he changed the price and that's my change.... I was so mad and tired of arguing with this guy, so I left... I've never had something like this happen before so it constantly took me off guard. Horrible...It was a bad experience especially coming from a manager. read more

Gentleman was kind enough to see what the "check engine" lite told me my problem was even tho he was not supposed to go into the car during COVID. I have a fractured back and couldn't bend down to attach the machine myself to determine the problem which is what is being required. Kindness found at this location. Thank you! read more

I was there this morning. Everyones nightmare happened me today, My "Check Engine" light came on. I was greeted by "Mo" hope I spelled it right. He was very busy, but made sure he got to me as to why I was there. He gave me an estimated wait (under 5min) so I got to look around at products. Mo got to me, checked my car and gave me a very thorough run of the part causing the light to be on. Even let me know the part was in stock. Wow! The customer service is excellent! I had a headlight out and was not sure if I needed an hid or halogen bulb. Deirdre, the store manager, was extremely helpful and patient with me. Having both your brake lights go out is dangerous and a pain but my experience was made surprisingly wonderful because I stopped in at this Auto Zone location and had the pleasure of being treated to excellent treatment by Jim W. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was replaced correctly, pointed out some things that were wrong with my car and remedied the situation creatively without costing me additional expense. I truly felt cared for and that he wanted to make sure I was safe to drive. The extra time effort I experienced are rare these days and I have already referred my friends that drive for a living to this location because of Jim W. :) read more
