I used sub trailer to get a bike hitch installed on my car. Sub Trailer was the least expensive of the three places I called. They were also able to get me in about a week later. It took about 45 minutes to install the hitch and I have had no problems with it. The only negative is there is no a/c in their waiting room and not really any airflow except for the door being left open. This result in a pretty uncomfortable waiting experience on a 95 degree day. read more

Highly recommend them for purchasing and installing a trailer hitch for your vehicle. I had a very small window of time to work with and they squeezed me in. sub trailer used non compliant parts then tried to blame my new wheels for the tires rubbing the new fenders ,the wheels were the same dimension in every way. then they blame my oem fenders . i then let him weld spacer blocks between the frame and axles the tires still rub Brian at sub has to look at the engineering drawings instead of guessing. now im told that welding weakend my trailer. Cabelas a Ranger dealer won't even look at my trailer because it was modified. Sub charged me $3500 + to wreck my trailer i cant use at this time. I got my lawyer involved . i thought after sub replaced the axles it would be good i put an additional 3500 in wheels fenders and tires. im ready to drop another $7500 for a new trailer so this senior retired fisherman on a fixed income can fish read more

Great experience needed a new hitch pin so that my hitch will not have any play and they did not have it in stock ordered it immediately called me when it arrived and helped me put it on. I see all good reviews. I have not had good experience because they didn't give me the time of day. Ordered a receiver hitch almost 3 weeks ago and they still have not called me to tell me it's in. Have called to see what's going on and he told me they get deliveries on Mondays. Two Monday's have gone by and no phone call. Third Monday coming up. I explained to the male on the phone that I was on a strict schedule as I was leaving the state, so this has been somewhat stressful waiting for the call stating My part came in. After talking to other shops, that's not a part that takes 3 weeks to get in. Actually glad he did not call me because it forced me to go elsewhere and save $200. Was quoted $500 to install hitch and wiring. I realize everyone super busy but if it was not achievable then he should have said so. Actually thankful for no response. Cheers read more

I ordered a new axle for my boat trailer July 2. Since it was supposedly a custom order I was informed it would take 2-3 weeks. 6 weeks went by no phone call. Due to various reasons, I did not follow up from the 3-6 week mark. However at the 6 week mark I called and Matt said my axle "just came in last week". Yeah sure it did. It was probably sitting around for 3 weeks. Then I asked for the price of the custom axle - $450ish for the part (which was reasonable). I asked if that included the galvanization since it will be submerged in water. He said he had a black painted axle in front of him, not a galvanized one. I said that is not what I ordered. He pulled the order sheet and confirmed I should of had a galvanized axle. So then I had to ask Matt if he was going to call the guy who made the axle and find out what was going on. That was almost 3 weeks ago now and I haven't heard from them again since. read more

If I could give a million stars, I would! This past memorial day weekend we were all set to take out our new jet skis with the kids to Wisconsin for their first experience with them. We connected our trailer to our SUV (with a recently newly installed hitch and light kit by Sub-Trailer Hitch) and tested everything out to be sure we'd be ready to leave Saturday evening. Everything seemed great. When it was time to hit the road, the trailer lights would not work. We panicked, thinking our getaway was no longer going to happen. We tried everything we could to get the lights working to no avail. Husband was able to test and troubleshoot to see that something was wrong with the wiring box from the light kit. Mind you, this was Saturday evening on Memorial Day Weekend, but out of desperation I sent a FB message to Sub-Trailer explaining our problem. And they responded, they actually responded to my Saturday evening desperation plea on Memorial Day Weekend. They offered to meet us Sunday morning to fix the issue (actually they were even willing to meet us on Saturday night to fix it). We took our SUV over Sunday morning, they replaced the wiring box and we were on our way. This right here is exactly why we use family owned, local companies. The customer service they provided was above and beyond what I expected and we were able to take our trip and enjoy the rest of our weekend. We have used them on several occassions over the years, along with members of our family as well, and this experience just reiterates why we choose them over others. read more
