horribly dishonest company. i needed a replacement glass section for my van. i called on monday…read moreand was told they had my part. bad streaking within the tinting is a known problem so i specifically asked if someone could inspect the glass for the streaking. i explained that i was over an hour s drive away. i was told on monday that the glass was perfect. i called back tuesday to confirm the glass was still on hold and asked the second man if he could please inspect the glass for syreaks in the tinting. he also said it was excellent. i went to get the glass and it was heavily streaked. it was shit! both men lied. they never did inspect it or saw the streaks and lied thinking maybe i would buy it anyway. whether i spoke to a manager or someone pretending to be m anager, the only responses my complaint got was amused smiles.... subtle smirks saying "oh too bad..you drove over an. hour for nothing: unless you are absolutely desperate with no other source for a part just be smart and pay a little more if you have to, but try to find a more honest company to deal with.

Fast forward to 4 Months ago: I called Rich (manager), and informed him that we are growing and needed a bigger trailer and soon, we would need more. He was happy for me, and loves to see business grow. He is extremely nice, great salesman but it's important for customers to know what ACTUALLY happens AFTER you make your purchase. We purchased a 6X12 trailer which I assumed to be another Cargo Mate, but AFTER doing all the paperwork I was informed it was not in fact a Cargo Mate but a Commander. Big Tex Trailer World recently got bought out and started manufacturing lower end trailers according to Rich, THATS why I was getting such a "good deal." Within the first 5 minutes of driving off with the trailer I experienced a wheel hub wobble and flickering lights. When I brought it back, they gave me the runaround and told me "That's what it's supposed to do." After going back and forth and going to a different trailer place, they told me the wheel hub was in fact bent. It only took 3 hours of arguing until he "warrantied" out the hub-something I shouldn't have even had an issue with given that before signing I was told I have a no hassle "bumper to bumper" warranty coverage. Awesome, I got it replaced. 2 months later my leaf springs completely snap with the trailer not even close to hauling full capacity. I called them 3 times-all 3 times I got the same response: "I'll have to look up the warranty information and I will call you back." Still haven't heard back. I wish this company all the luck-they are extremely nice to your face and are really good at convincing you you're getting a good deal-but BEWARE. This Commander rust bucket won't even sell for half the value of what I paid-a 2019 should not be in this terrible of condition compared to my Cargo Mate. Good luck keeping customers with this type of quality.

Big Tex in Homer Glen went out of their way to contact manufacturers individually, comparable trailer brand reps and other resources within their network to set me up with the best fit for my specs. Read the following for more info: A couple months ago, I brought my brand new car to Dan at Chi-South Customs 25885 S Ridgeland Ave #4, Monee, IL 60449 to paint an Italian stripe on the front, fix one scratch on front drivers fender, and color match the silver trim around side windows and a couple other spots on car. Three weeks later I picked up my car and paid in full. The next day I called Dan since I saw several issues with the vehicle. We went over every part of what he did wrong on my car. He gave me $2000. back. Could still see scratch on fender, the stripe is wavy, bled into the black, a scratch out of the white by emblem that he didn't even take off to paint. Painted all silver trim on car with out taking it off and didn't prep correctly. Passenger side $2000 in damage, head light has a 3 in. scratch. Front grill that wasn't painted has a 2in. scratch and over spray on it. All rubber around windows has paint on it. Red, white, and green over spray on sunroof. Over spray on other parts of car and windows. Damaged the front clip and hood with out fixing lines and wet sanded and buffed only parts of it. Buffing compound in a lot of spots he didn't clean. Now I have over $10,000 in damage I have to put out now to get it fixed. Dan said his insurance won't take care of it and he has no money. I told him to at least make payments and no response. Sorry to say he's not a man of his word.

My car would not start this morning until my husband hooked cables up to the battery and pressed a button. Then I was on my way. After working a long day and having electrical issues, I was ready to head home. The same thing happened, car would not start. A couple of my coworkers came to assist thinking that I may need a jump. I handed them the power pack, which they hooked to my battery and pressed a button. It started. I refused to turn off my car until I reached a location where my battery could be replaced. At my first stop, I was informed that the battery needed for my car was available. AND, it was on sale for 5$ off. BUT, they no longer do installs because too many customers were filing false damage claims. Are you kidding me? I had turned off my car thinking I was good. Said a quick prayer to make it across the street to the strip mall where Interstate Battery was located. Car started, I made it. Went in a bit frazzled and, I did NOT turn off my car. Lol. I took a slow, deep breath and asked for assistance. The young man came outside and asked me to pop my hood. I said: "I'll pop the hood but I'm not turning off my car." He looked at me and smiled. He said: "I'll be right back." He came back and told me that he had good news and bad news. I braced for the worst. Good news; we have your battery. Bad news; we can't install it without you turning off your car. He had me in tears cracking up. After the day I was having, for him to make me laugh like that was priceless. The install took less than fifteen minutes. They also informed me that I had the original manufacturer battery in my car and that it was seven years old. I am so grateful that it was a simple fix and that I was guided to the right place. Thank you again Marty and Larry. You both added a little joy to my day.
