Buyer Beware is a good way to describe this place. Regarding batteries, everything sold here is…read moreoff-brand. Their batteries have a great price, but they don't last nearly as long as your standard Energizer or Duracell. In fact, I'd guess they last about half as long. They sell some interesting electrical gadgets and have just about every type of battery you can imagine, but I'd recommend staying away from the actual batteries at this place. Go buy a battery tender from him if you want, but don't buy the batteries. Beyond this, he does battery pack rebuilds for cordless power tools. I've heard a few people say his rebuilds work just fine, but I also know someone who was extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and pack rebuilds (he said the Paslode rebuild was spectacular and lasts longer, but the DeWalt rebuilds were absolute garbage that had much less power and only lasted about one quarter the amount of time as a new DeWalt pack. He also said the turn-around time on his DeWalt rebuilds was nine days.). The owner also seems to be expanding into every possible gimmick-niche available, like off brand cell phones, computer cell cards, and low-end generic electronics. When you walk in, the people are nice (I think it's a husband/wife team), but you just don't get the feeling that this store is interested in providing "quality" products. I can't say I'd never go back to this store, but it's not my first stop when thinking of batteries or battery accessories. If you do decide to shop here, just make sure you're completely satisfied with your product and confident in your decision before you make a purchase.

Since it took three days, they offered me a free loaner. All said and done, my battery was fixed (for free), they recommended a charger, and loaned me a battery all covered under their interstate warranty. I'll be buying all future batteries from there!

Interstate Batteries in Mokena Illinois is definitely a place that you don't want to shop at Unless…read moreyou are willing to deal with a group of incompetent, unprofessional, lack of customer caring company in the area. I have been purchasing batteries and supplies from this location for the last 15 years. This time I purchased $700 worth of motorhome Batteries. Interstate Batteries had taken my previous batteries and had them tested to advise me on whether or not they were still a good battery. They had informed me that all for batteries were dead and I needed to purchase new ones. After purchasing 4 new ones I drove to my campsite only to find out that they did not give me back my battery cable post caps Which secure the cable to the post. Needless to say my entire weekend was ruined. When I left a message regarding the missing items from my old batteries nobody returned a phone call. I showed up two days later and was confronted by the owner's son approached me with the I don't give a shit attitude towards me. He did not like the Fact I left a heated message on his business phone. He also didn't like the fact I raised my voice due to the lack of his care. His exact words were and I "you should of removed those items before giving us The battery. The fact that it was my responsibility to make sure all of the cables and Nuts were removed from the old Battery. He didn't care about the fact that he took all 4 batteries from me to test them to see whether or not they were still good. I now will question the fact on whether or not the $700 in new batteries I purchased were truly something I needed. I guess I'll never know for sure. The one thing I know for sure I will never conducts business at that location again. I'm dumbfounded by the lack of customer care or even an apology of what they did and how it ruined my entire travel weekend.
