Went in yesterday for a simple quart of oil. My boyfriend was in my car and I parked and walked in. As I was walking in, two male workers were walking in behind me and held the door open for me so I said thank you. After walking past them, they start making fun of me in a way that seems sexual which I do NOT appreciate so I scoff and walk back to get my oil I needed which takes less than two minutes. I grab it and go to the counter where I'm the only customer in line. I see about 5-7 workers in my eyeline (so I know they can see me) and they're all in the back stuffing their faces with cake while I'm staring at them for FIVE MINUTES!!!! It isn't until I walk a few more feet over and say excuse I've been waiting to be checked out that a woman finally rolls her eyes and comes to check me out. I ask to put in my phone number and she rolls her eyes AGAIN. At this point I very well should have just taken the oil and walked the fuck out. I will never ever ever be coming back to this location. The employees are rude, have no training obviously, and don't want to be there. Get better employees because this was infuriating!!! read more

I bought a car battery here when mine died in 2018. Today, my battery was dead again! I got a charge and drove over to Autozone. I found my receipt in the glove compartment of my car (good thinking). Turned out I had bought a 5 year batter with a 36 month free replacement, and this was month 35! Autozone gave me a free new battery and placed it in my car, no questions, hassles or charge. Big shout out to Tony for helping me out! I stopped in for a replacement bulb for my headlight. I was just going to purchase and install later. Tony looked up the bulb I needed and even offered to help install. Maybe this is a normal practice, but I was greatly surprised. He gave me peace of mind knowing the bulb was put in properly, and his customer service skills exceeded my expectations. I think you could absolutely charge a nominal fee or up charge for this kind of extra attention. Awesome experience and I will definitely use this store for anything else I may need. read more

So, in 2011 I purchased a car battery from AAA which cost at least $150 (from what I remember). I know this sounds ridiculous and makes me appear a little stupid, but at the time I was stranded at QT and had no one (including a boy I was dating who was minutes down the road from my location) who would help. I figured (a) they have a mobile battery replacement service, (b) I'm a member, (c) I'll most definitely get a good deal, (d) I'm a grown ass woman who doesn't need the help of anyone (except AAA - obviously) and (e) what sounds better right now than sitting in my car in this 115 degree weather, while enjoying a nice six pack of Kiltlifter, and waiting for someone to come replace my battery for me on location!?! Anyway, I feel like AAA raped me with what I was charged. To make a long story short (this is getting way out of hand), my battery died again just last week. It hasn't even been two years since it was replaced. Brother came to my work, jumped the car, and we drove it here because it's close to where I live. The guy was SUPER nice and helpful, checked the battery for me, let us hang out in their store while I called AAA (as, again, it was like 110 outside), and even looked into how much they would charge me to replace it if I was not covered by AAA's warranty. I went back in the store while waiting for AAA to see what I would be spending, as I was told over the phone AAA would prorate the cost of my new battery. Maybe he wasn't even that nice, but he just kept helping me - knowing I was waiting for AAA and that I might be wasting his time. Maybe this is what customer service should be like. I'm typically just so disappointed these days that I dread asking for help. I feel like people are either (a) overly friendly/fake in an attempt to sell or (b) super rude and could care less about your business. So, AAA came and replaced my battery for FREE in Autozone's parking lot, as I was still covered under warranty. The moral of this story; however, is that I received awesome customer service here and will return if I need to in the future! Thank you nice Autozone worker guy! read more
