Bell Rd RV Center correctly diagnosed, ordered repair parts, and repaired our 27' RV in about one week. Good work and fair pricing.

Ask the Community - Bell Road RV Center

I'd like to know how they can brag about quick turnaround when they are scheduled 30 days out?

Oh wow. I have not tried to schedule in advance. We had a problem that day and they got us in, though he did say we got lucky there was a cancellation. I would say if they are booked that far out people must think they are worth the wait....

Let our story be a warning to you. We had damage to both the front and the back of our SUV, from…read moretwo separate incidents, and had not gotten it fixed yet because we have a $1000 deductible. We took it over to this body shop based on their "waive deductible" and "lifetime warranty" promises and the "owners" (there are apparently three of them and they take turns claiming they are the owner and the other two are their "technicians" when blame needs to go around) told us that they would be able to save us our deductible if we did both claims at once, so we agreed. We called both insurance companies and left the SUV to be repaired. When we picked it up, we noticed that the parts they replaced were used. Not necessarily a huge deal to us (eve though the insurance company paid them for NEW parts!) , but the problem was the parts they used were defective. The bumper had a huge hole in it and the light was scratched, the casing was loose and the bumper was already popping out in placed and misaligned. We took it back and they gave us a hell of a time, told us it was not their fault because the repairs were done by one of their technicians who no longer worked there. We insisted that they needed to fix it. They told us that we couldn't expect to have a quality repair because how else did we think they were going to save us our deductible? We left the car with them for another week. When we picked it up and drove it home, we noticed the rear parking sensor light was on. Since they worked on replacing the entire rear bumper, this was something they did incorrectly. When we called them to fix it - again - they claimed this was nothing they did wrong and they refused to do anything. We went back and forth until they finally agreed to fix it - again. A day later, we noticed a strange grinding noise. Upon inspection, the plastic wheel well adjacent to the bumper they worked on, was falling off and dragging on the ground. We called them again and got yelled at, called names, and degraded. We finally told them we would be taking them to court and hung up. Five minutes later, one of their other guys called us back to offer us to bring in the car one more time. We told them we would give it one last time on good faith, but if they did not fix it correctly, we would pursue remedies. The next morning, the part that was loose, tore off and the entire plastic wheel-well cover with it. When we showed up for the 3rd repair appointment, they did not show up. We took the car over to a reputable car shop, who told us that none of the parts they used were acceptable and every single piece of work they did was done wrong. It will take $6000 to fix the damage they did to our car. We have already called both insurance companies, as well as the BBB and the Arizona Attorney General's office to report them for fraud. With the estimate from the collision center, we will be taking them to civil court to recover our damages, which I doubt we will get anything from because they don't have two pennies to rub together. But at least, we will put them out of business so this never happens to another unsuspecting consumer again. These men are crooks and frauds, this is apparently a brand new shop they opened, so it did not have any reviews online yet, so we fell for it. The repairman told us that guys like this defraud people, then close up shop when they get sued, then open up shop again under a different name. Unfortunately this industry is not well regulated in Arizona so we might not recover any damages, but we are going to follow these guys to the end of the earth to report them each and every time, if it means even one person can be spared the grief we just went through. I want them to never have the chance to touch someone else's vehicle, ever again. Based on the miles on our SUV, and the damage they did, it is now basically worthless and fit for the scrapheap. Even if we fork over the money to take it to another repair place, it will show up on the carfax and we won't ever be able to sell the car. It is a hard lesson learned and a huge hit to our wallet, with little we can do about it. Consumer beware...... stay FAR FAR away from this place.

The RV Guy shop demonstrated very little regard for customer satisfaction or accountability…read more I was originally quoted 1-2 weeks for the repair, but my RV remained at the shop for 7 weeks. During that time, I received no updates until I was notified that the repair had been completed. There was no diagnostic fee disclosed upfront, no estimate provided, and no discussion of repair costs before I was presented with the final bill. The original issue was a hydraulic jack that was not operating properly. According to the shop, their diagnosis determined that an undersized factory ground wire was the problem, and they replaced it with a heavier-gauge wire. When I picked up the RV, the technician demonstrated that the jack was now functioning, although very slowly. He attributed the slow operation to low battery voltage, and I took him at his word. After bringing the RV home and connecting it to 50-amp shore power, I lowered the jacks to test the system. The same jack that had supposedly been repaired would not retract. I immediately contacted The RV Guy and was instructed not to force the jack up. I was told they would speak with the technician and call me back with instructions on how to retract the jack. That return call never came. Three days later, I followed up with the shop. I was told my only option was to bring the RV back in, and that I would be financially responsible for any additional diagnostics and repairs. Since the original repair had not resolved the problem, I requested either a refund or a new diagnostic evaluation at no charge. Both requests were denied. I explained that, in good faith, they should at least send their mobile technician to diagnose the actual problem since I was still experiencing the exact issue I had paid them to repair. The only accommodation they offered was to send a mobile technician to verify that the ground wire they installed was not causing the problem. If the wire was not at fault, I would once again be responsible for the service call and any labor charges. After paying approximately $600 to replace a 12-inch ground wire that did not solve the problem, I decided to cut my losses and take my business elsewhere. My biggest disappointment was not the unsuccessful repair--it was the lack of communication, accountability, and willingness to stand behind their work when the original issue remained unresolved.

Use caution. I called Mobile Car Dr but Wrench.com answered…read morethe phone (after about a 15 min hold with music). That was my first concern (I am not calling a local company but a general dispatcher that likely doesn't know the local workers). I explained I wanted a check of the brake pads on our motorhome RV. They guy asked for our zip code and after a few minutes said he had one RV technician in our area (one guy that does everything... that made me uncomfortable - the guy answering the phone is obviously sitting in some central location looking at a database that many cities/states register in for referrals). I said I wanted to get independent reviews (e.g. not on their site) for the person before I agreed to anything. He indicated he was fine with that (but never offered the technicians name or anyway to see any reviews). Instead the rep tried to make an appointment for the next afternoon. When I asked if he had the equipment to put our entire RV in the air to take off each of the 6 wheels and told him the weight, he didn't reply but asked for the vin (when asked why he said he would then have information about the vehicle, the Chassis information meant nothing to this guy, nor the GVW, he obviously didn't know RVs at all). He then quoted a price for one hour for diagnostics. I questioned if the technician could jack up the RV and take all 6 tires and wheels off to look at the brakes and discuss what he is seeing with us so we can discuss any work. He again said this is the price for the hour and they do their diagnostics in an hour. I again asked about checking all 6 brakes, discussing it with us, and putting the vehicle back together in an hour (we know how long it takes the tire guys, who do this all day long, to take off all 6 tires and knew an hour was not enough time). The guy on the phone started backpedaling fast at this time. Saying the hour was for diagnostics, no discussion with us about work to do.... (I didn't even wait for the words and another to put the tires back on).... At that point we ended the call (we had a couple other places we could call that we trusted a lot more at this point). No way would they be able to pull off 6 wheels in an hour, discuss the issues, and put it all back together in an hours time. Be careful using a national call center for things, make sure you know who will come out for your service and that there are recommendations for that person doing the work you want done in an independent review place like yelp.

I contacted Mobile Car Dr. The cost of a pre-purchase inspection is $120. That includes no photos and no written report. After a long list (by phone) of rock chips, door dings, and a bent muffler tip, I actually stopped Scott and said.. "let me get this straight... you took absolutely no photos?". Nope. Zero photos. Scott goes on to tell me that he reviewed all the items with the dealer (wait... the dealer? Aren't you working for me, to get ME negotiation room with the dealer?) before he called me. This leads to a story of how he used to work for this dealership. Somehow that didn't come up on the phone when I booked him. I guess I know why he overlooked so many things. I arrived the next day to buy my car, the first thing I noticed is that the LCD monitor, the centerpiece of the dashboard, looks like it's been cleaned with a Brillo pad. There is no way you could sit in this car and not immediately notice it. We're not talking a tiny scratch, the whole face of the LCD is destroyed. This somehow did not make it into his report on the condition of the vehicle. I insert the key, and the first thing this other huge monitor displays is "Service A1 exceeded by 2000 miles". Scott also didn't mention this to me. I would not hire Mobile Car Dr to do a pre-purchase inspection of any vehicle, ever.
