Ed gave me a choice of a patch or a plug. He was extremely pleasant on the phone. After about 10 seconds you can tell that Ed is the kind of guy who really cares about his customers and the quality of work he does. He removed the screw from my tire and plugged it and he checked all the pressure in the tires and I came to find that all of the tires exceeded the normal tire pressure. He deflated the tires and inflated with the correct pressure making me a very happy customer. The total cost was $30 which I thought was a little high but because they took me right away and performed fantastic service I was very happy to pay him $30 plus a $10 tip. This particular franchise is locally owned so they got my business. Initially I just wanted the tire patched which at $30 plus tax is a fair price. You know this is a resort town and it's real easy for any business person to try to pad a price with an additional 100k people in town for the upcoming 4th of July holiday. They did not. I was 3 months away from springing for 4 new tires so I decided to give them the business of 4 new tires. With this large investment I had a ton of questions/prices concerns.You have to do this because you are stuck with the performance and ride of new tires for at least 3 years and I want the best tire for the price that support my driving habits. Driving Habits ---combination of city like driving 50% and 50% major Highway. I also am concerned about driving in snow. Dave and his coworker Nick didn't try the usual dismissal of a women's questions about tires. And I know this is hard because they answer the same questions multiple times/day every day of the week. I did my internet homework about the tires suggested and I felt confident in their prices. I also opted for an alignment which was reasonably priced. If you get bored there is a mini golf and driving range next door along with ice cream. Rio Grande diner is a half a mile walk. Bottom line : Dave did his best for me. Bonus: I was in and out close enough to be happy with the 2 hr estimate to do all my work. I highly recommend this place.
