Man! Never thought I found myself for time on a random week trying to get Home back to the east with a dead battery and waiting for AAA to come won't start me! Lol Thank goodness that he told me to call ahead to see if they had the right sized battery! When I called the Campbell location, they had my battery but we're short staffed and could not install. I called the San Carlos Ave., AutoZone location and the gentleman there said they had enough employees to install a new car battery for me! As I drove over to the San Carlos auto, three other people were also there with dead batteries and purchasing new ones to have them be installed as well. lol Oscar helped me install. The battery was incredibly helpful and someone talkative since he was an early 20's gentleman and I told him how my son and I had to deal with the pandemic he told me he was the class of 2020!! Goodness, what an awful year to graduate, but very iconic at the same time!! Pandemic times, there's been a number of people I've been in contact with that honestly have no Customerservice skills whatsoever!! Granted in my mid 40s and talkative, but I also can read a room. Speaking with Oscar he made conversation easy and was very helpful and was able to get me in and out within about 20 minutes since he had a line of cars out the door, meeting batteries! Stopped by autozone after having 5 secondary dashboard lights come on. Initially had called the dealership who recommended I tow it and then pay $250 to diagnose the issue. Thankfully I didn't take their advice and got awesome help from the guys and gals over at Autozone off West San Carlos. Not only did they diagnose the issues for free, but ended up charging up my battery and reinstalling it for me at no charge. Shout out to Ricardo, Noe, Hector, Eric and JC for all your generous help! Today I came to this autozone due to the positive yelp reviews. I made the call and the person was energetic and politely told me my car battery options. As I came into the shop I was greeted by Luis the stor manager. He brought me over to the computer and gave me the option of choosing based on my needs. Right away Luis brought me out to my car and tested my battery making sure that was the problem. Then I mentioned about warranties and he asked if my battery was from autozone! I said yes and he said let's look at your warranty! To my surprise, he showed me that i was in the computer and the battery was still under warranty! Free battery! Luis said let me install it for you and within 5 minutes he was done! Marvelous customer service and made my crazy day of battery repair a great result. Bought 3 items online to be picked up. Decided to cancel the order, without picking it up. It has been three days since cancelling and no refund has been posted to my bank account. Called them up to find out what the delay is. Was informed that "corporate" has a policy for delaying refunds 3-5 days. It would've been better if I had just gone down there and bought it at the counter. I've used the same bank card as I used previously for other in-store purchases and always recieved an immediate refund on returns. Ridiculous. Also like to note during some past transactions at this location I've run into employees who seem to enjoy giving me bad customer service. This is part of the reason I ordered the items online so that I could bypass the harassment. Frankly I will inconvenience myself next time and drive a little further to a different store. read more

2014 BMW 335i Im an avid DIYer and I never give my money to the stealership when I could just do it myself. This time I gave it to Theftzone. Not only did the obviously stoned guy at the front desk charge me $80 for an advertised $60 worth of oil/filter, he sold me the wrong oil filter and refused to refund me for the incorrect part as well. After much debate and aggression from their Manager Frank D, I gave up on getting any customer service from them and drove 20 feet down the street to Orielly's and purchased a higher quality part that actually fits..and it didn't come with a side of disrespect. Weird thing is that had they treated the situation appropriately they would have realized that the system is pointing to the wrong part and corrected it. The wrong oil filter on your engine can do irreversible damage and I guarantee you a place that wont refund the incorrect filter that they overcharged you for, definitely wont step up when they blow your engine. For shame, Autozone employee, for shame. For you, too, Autozone store. Yesterday morning, I had to come in to return front brake rotors for my senior, but foxy, 96 Civic. I had purchased the rotors the day before, which was a pleasant experience (at another same store, different location). I told them the details needed for my car, they looked it up in their system, told me what I needed, and all seemed good to go. I seemed to be wrong. When the removal of old rotors and installation of new rotors began, I hit a major speed bump. The old and new rotors were two different sizes. The new ones would not work out. Maybe they gave me the wrong parts by mistake. No biggie, I'll take it down to the nearest Autozone, tell them what's up, and we'll get back on track. Wrong. When I spoke to the employee, he looked up the part according to my car's specs, and the same part I bought came up. Nope, they didn't give me the wrong part, he tells me. Hmmm... I'm lost. How can it be right if it doesn't fit, if the old rotors are different than these new ones? I ask him this. ... and then this is where the shame chants begin to play. He has no answers for me. Shrugs his shoulders. ... I'm at a loss, I don't know what to do. I ask for some insight, some suggestions, something other than ... nothing... from this guy who works at this auto store. ... was I wrong to assume he'd at least have some knowledge or idea of options for I can take. It's not like I was asking him what type of paint to use on my bedroom wall. That'd just be silly. BUT HE WORKS AT AUTOZONE. It did not feel like I was in any zone having to do with autos. So with the only option available to me at the time, I returned the parts. Luckily my mechanic said to me, "F that sh*t, let's go to O'Riley's." OH OH O'Riley's! They're the MVPs of the day. Their system showed two different rotors. The one that did not fit my car and another. For whatever reason, Autozone's system did not show any option but the one. I understand this is not the employee's fault. What is his fault though, is his lack of effort to even attempt any sort of positive customer service. At the very least, I would have even accepted and, "I'm sorry I really don't know how to help." So as I mentioned in the beginning of my review: For shame Autozone and Autozone employee. Terrible service experience yesterday with an employee at this store. I came in because I had a headlight signal on my dashboard. I did do my own inspection of the headlights before going into the store. I saw that it was the little bulb inside the high beam (known as a city light I found out later). Front desk associate was very rude when he asked if it was a high beam or low beam. I explained I was not sure and asked if he could come see the car outside. Very hesitantly and with a lot of attitude he reluctantly inspected my headlights and some how incorrectly deduced it was the lowbeam and not the city light. I was sold the wrong light bulb and given a lot of attitude. When it came time to put it on I asked for gloves so I could do it myself, I did not want to be more of a burden to this associate. Even that could not be given without some serious attitude from him. I'm very upset with how this associate handled the situation. I came in earnestly asking for help, was given a lot of attitude, and ultimately sold the wrong item. What was the point of asking for help if they can't even sell you the right headlight bulb? read more
