He was even kind enough to teach me how to put my windshield wipers on myself when I asked him to do so because I did not know how to do it. Where's the honesty gone when it comes to customer service!? Had a Duralast battery that is 2 years old that was dead, took it in to have it checked and they told me to leave it so they could charge it and test it. Came back next day, different guy helps me. He brings it out and runs a test on it and proceeds to tell me the battery took no charge and it was bad so I had to buy a new one. Even had a sticker on the battery that said it was bad. So he starts giving me prices on new ones but something didn't add up to me. So I decided to take the battery home and check it myself. Put it in my truck and it started right up. How is this a bad battery!? So either lying to customers is store policy so they spend more money or no one trained these guys on how to use a battery tester. Either way this looks really bad on AutoZone. The employees represent the brand, the company. Really disappointed! read more

As difficult as auto manufacturers have made it to change parts on your own car, with a little help from YouTube it's still possible to make minor repairs. "What do you mean I have to take the entire assembly off just to change a light bulb?" That's where the auto parts store comes in handy. A lot of people don't bother or even like to visit an auto parts store until they need something and then they're glad to have them around. Hmm, that description could be applied to a number of things. What makes this Auto Zone nice is the location. Being in San Pedro and on a main street but more like a small town main road gives it a less busy and congested feel. The staff is friendly and very helpful. And they remember their customers. That last part goes a long way to adding loyalty. The store is small but they carry a wide inventory. It's clean and neat so don't worry about getting grease on you if that's not your thing. read more

I walked into AZ yesterday totally confused about the goings on with my vehicle. My car shut off, started again and shut off and I assumed it was my battery. Another vehicle mechanic kept telling me that it was my alternator but I know a little more than the average knows about cars so I didn't believe him. AZ to the rescue! They were able to check my car and found that it indeed was the battery. I could buy a battery but what was I do to about installing it. The "unknowing" mechanic said he could do it but I had to buy his battery. I could purchase one from AZ but their installation guy had left for the night. I didn't want to call the first mechanic. Ugh! One guy saw the desperation on my face and offered to install my battery if his manager allowed it. I'm so glad he did. After speaking with my installer, I learned that his name is Nathan and he attending school to be a mechanic! What!!! How did I luck up into such greatness?! This really made my day, I get my battery installed and Nathan can get some practice in--though he didn't seem to need it. The first battery had the terminals on the opposite side than what my car was used to but Nathan went inside and found a battery more suitable for my 1997 vehicle. Eureka! What an awesome guy! If you're ever in the AZ in San Pedro, look for Nathan! Thanks Nathan and thank you Mr. Manager for allowing him to help this little diva out. Blessings to y'all! read more

These workers seem to be lazy to help a customers. First worker didn't care enough to help my boyfriend issue with his car and check it out and walked away to the back never came back and second dude didn't care enough to do the same and made a horrible comment "oh you're fucked" like ???? You are not supposed to say that when he's explaining his issue you are supposed to help idiot. They seem to be lazy and rude Whoever the manger is go check on your workers behavior and fire these idiots Never coming here again. read more

I was very close to giving this place a 4 or 5 star review but... They gave me the wrong oil filter even after giving them my car information. Also, they don't have the 5 liter version of the oil my car needs: the synthetic 5w40 one. I wish they did because spending 9ish dollars on each individual 1 liter bottle is expensive. This complaint is not specific to this location; I believe all locations are like this. Either way, this place satisfies my car needs, so I'll be coming back here as needed. read more

I had the MOST WONDERFUL experience every time I go there last time I went there I had a guy by the name of Emmanuel who helped me I had some black paint got scraped on my car from a different car, he was so kind he came outside with me after I bought the compound or whatever it is called and put it on my car's bumper and kindly bent down and scraped it all off for me I was so thankful I offered him some money but he refused to accept it. I just prayed that GOD would Bless him and this business in whatever way He sees fit. Autozone is truly wonderful when it comes to customer service!!! They always deliver!!! Sorry i had to write this because this location has been my goto for over 9 years... with that. I will make my response /critique short as possible.12/26-1/1 6 days for a common part.I needed a part for my car. The young lady who showed me the screen and I confirmed the part .Between the screen and her going to the back to retrieve my car part was wrong. I'M GLAD I Double checked (Marine thing) the part was for the wrong car cause I looked up the parts number. Not even for my make or model. I bring the part back in and they confirmed oh! that part is not even at our store we will order for you and ship it here. they said 3 days... I come back 4th day .. Part STILL NOT HERE. I guess there was a mix up on the location pick up.... I said no worries... was told it should be there by closing that same day I said it's ok. I can pick up that part tomorrow.. again skip day ... and now today?!?!?! guess what.. MY FREAK N PART IS NOT THERE! I am again told oh thats set as a pick up part. I told them NO its not. it was supposed to have been delivered HERE. almost a week and a half ago.To make matters worst. today is my only day off and I work in the medical field so you know i'm tired as.....( your answer here) plus I rode my bike so my car would be cold so i could work on it myself. ALL this is a gripe letter. The guys that work there tend to go beyond the COD . I have a 2014 elantra and the battery died. So i bought a new one. Jessica sold me a battery that came with a warranty. I came back in a few months after the purchase and needed help. My break light was out the battery wouldn't start and it was cold and raining. Keep in mind I know nothing about fixing cars. Jessica helped me out so much. I was inches away from losing my mind and probably sobriety. If i need anything jessica is the one I'm going to. *autozone I offered her a job she declined* that loyalty needs a raise. Asap. Also the product knowledge was amazing she had answers for all of my questions. I now have a plan to replace about $600 worth of stuff. If it ain't jessica it ain't right. read more

...There was a strange noise coming from the hood of my SUV... had to find out what it was and parked it out front. Went inside and talked to a worker and confirmed my thoughts that it was steering fluid or lack there of to be more precise. So the cap wasn't marked on my Mercedes engine bay and it was pretty much a guess but i wanted to make sure so i asked... bought the fluid and filled the reservoir, only to accidentally over fill... back inside i go and ask for a straw... no i wasn't going to siphon it into my mouth, just enough to fill the straw and then discard it... it took about 30 times but i got into within acceptable range... everything worked out and it was good as new... well it turned out that the reservoir was leaking anyways, but it made that annoying noise go away... this location rocks! read more

I went in last Thurs to get new windshield wipers for my car. After eventually finding what I was looking for (after asking an associate for assistance, she verified information and told me a special they were having on wipers) I was ready to replace them. However, I had no idea how to do it! I asked the sales associate how easy or difficult it was, and another associate overheard and asked if I'd like him to show me how to do it. He patiently showed me how to change them and couldn't have been any nicer. I will be going back to this Autozone when I have any future DIY car maintenance. read more

Pretty much your standard Autozone. The things that stand out are the high level of customer service and the product knowledge they possess, as well as the products they offer(they usually have most things in stock whether it be fluids for your vehicle, detailing stuff, parts, etc. The staff always does their best to keep the line(if there is one) moving and always makes sure to acknowledge the customers. read more

First and foremost I don't know sh*t about cars so I went in today to get some transmission fluid to seal up the slow leak I have (I think) and this very nice lady asked me if I needed help as soon as I walked in the door. I guess I don't look like your typical grease monkey. So she showed me to some Lucas fluid and gave me instructions. Was out in 10 mins. Very helpful! read more

Do not shop here. Anytime I have returned something they tell me to swipe my card and "the money will go back onto the card". This is the SECOND time they got their item back and I never received my money back. The first time was a year ago for $55 and now for $20. This is OUTRAGEOUS. Check your cards guys. read more

I don't know what everyone else is talking about. But this is the worst Auto Zone EVER!!! I'm an actual customer and I had the worst experience here. I have a 36mos. warranty on my battery and it finally died with no last breath in it. I still had 8 mos. left on my warranty when I went to have it exchanged. Wow the guy that was helping me was trying to give me every excuse in the book to not follow thru with our warranty. He even told me that it wasn't the battery that it was the alternator. what a dumbass. I told him how can you tell without looking at the car, he said, "you can tell by the amps left in the battery". HUH? OMG... meanwhile 2 customers came in and exchanged thier battery with no problem. I asked what's the deal with mine. He said "Oh they bought thier batteries only months ago." After trying to recharge it for an hour and my not giving up he finally had to exchange it. If I remembered his name I would have written it. But man oh man this kid was dumb with a capital D. read more

the first time i went into the store i waited in a long line, i knew i was there to get an oil change so i waited to speak to a sales rep as they have always helped me before with deal. i approached the counter to jessica. i told here i was here for an oil change and her reply was ok? as she stared at me.......i said do you need my make year and model. she replied yes. As a customer that is something they should be asking me. she was super rude like she hated her job. she then asked me if i needed an air filter i told her no i just need the oil filter. she said okay grab the oil and ill grab the oil filter. in the past the sales rep has always went with me to discuss deals and other options for oil on my car. she did not ask if i needed help or anything. so i called my uncle and he told me which oil to buy. i bought two quarts of 5w-30 and the oil filter and proceeded to check out only to find jessica gone. ishmael or israle whatever his name was checked me out. he did not talk at all.. the only thing he asked was my rewards number. i mean considering they work at auto zone they should be aware of any specials on oil and he could of upsold and said hey there deal is 30 dollars for 5 quarts and an oil filter and most cars take around 4 quarts. but he didn't say anything. so i left. my dad told me i needed three more quarts of oil so i went back grabbed the auto zone paper and saw the deal so on the second trip back i again got jessica so i told her i made a mistake i need more oil. her reply was so what do u want me to do ? I'm sorry as a person working in quest service she could of laid out options but i told her could u return this and ring it over she said no because it would be about three tr 5 days to retune the money so the better value would be to buy three more quarts of oil. I'm already pissed off so i just buy the oil. this was the WORST guest experience i ever had in my life and for an oil change cost me about the same amount as taking it to jiffy lube minus the attitude of the two cashiers. i have never met someone so rude and that they hated there jobs. and not to mention they are in quest service. this auto zone needs to hire more knowledge reps with knowledge about their products and that want to genuinly help people.
