After hearing about bad experiences from friends, I recently had my own. I went to two different places -- one for an oil change and one for a tire rotation -- and both asked who had serviced my car last. The answer was Bell Tire. My oil had been overfilled by 2 quarts, which can cause serious damage. On top of that, my locking lug nuts were tightened so tight that a tire shop couldn't remove them -- I had to go to a mechanic. The mechanic even said an inexperienced person must have been working on my car, and that locking lugs should not be tightened as much as regular ones. What worries me most is that if I had a roadside emergency, I wouldn't have been able to change my own tire. Between my experience and others I've heard about, I no longer recommend this location. Thankfully, Roadrunner Oil Change, Warehouse Tire, and Mo-Tech Automotive fixed the issues, $100 later!

We took it in and after telling us they can't fix it, they returned it with a check engine light on. This light was not on when we parked the car. They refused to fix it or even fully diagnose it without charging us more money. If the light was on when we dropped it off we would have asked about it but we didn't because it wasn't. They never mentioned the light to us at all until we got the car back, saw it and asked about it, and they said 60% of cars they see have lights on so they don't always say something. It's a mechanic shop! Why wouldn't you tell people what is wrong with their car and offer to fix it? Isn't that solely what you do? Also 60% of cars seems crazy high.. It feels like they were just hoping we wouldn't notice. We took the car in with one issue and got it back with two. What a horrible experience. From now on I guess I'll have to take a video of the dash and car with a time stamp so i have concrete proof of how it went in. That's crazy that i should have to do that.

He instantly identified the problem and said that It's a fairly simple thing and that he would be happy to help me solve it. And HE DID! Jeremy was so generous with his knowledge, time and expertise. He has an "I love my job!" vibe that as a customer, is not only a breath of fresh air but also makes a bummer of a car issue something to smile about. As I was waiting for the all clear from Jeremy I spent some time looking around the store. I had the pleasure of meeting Drew. I noticed him assisting customers like they were his neighbor or friend. Drew also was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He and Jeremy knew most the names of their customers; and their customers knew theirs. I didn't look at what I was handed by the store clerk, which I'm at fault for not checking before leaving the store. Once I got home, I discovered I had been given the basic Sylvania bulb, which sells for about $31 online. I paid for a premium product but was handed a cheaper one instead. I'd definitely double check what you're getting at this store, It seems they may try to swap for the cheaper product if you're not knowledgeable. If a customers pay for a specific product, they should receive the exactly what they ordered. This experience has made me question the accuracy and quality control of Advance Auto Parts' online pickup process, and the integrity of the employees. I won't be using this location again.

I was able to watch my vehicle be worked on through the window. The young gentleman got the lock lugnut stuck in his impact socket and threw the socket on the floor in anger. It appeared he was rushing and had somewhere to be. After about 20 minutes my vehicle was ready. I worked on my brakes about a week or so later and when I had one of my wheels off I heard something rolling around inside the tire. I took it back to the discount tire to have them look at it. I waited about 2 hours for them to finally get my vehicle in, and finally they tell me it just needed to be balanced again and it was fixed. I asked if they figured out what was rolling round inside the tire and was told that they didn't notice anything wrong. Okay fine with me if you say so... The following day, as I was driving, my TPMs sensor light turned on my dash, i figured it has to be that one wheel so I took my tire off and sure enough! It's still in there! I go back to the location and wait another 2 hours and they finally admit it was a TPMs sensor. Nice, they do it for free, everything is good, right? No!!! I then noticed the SAME wheel they did the wheel weights are missing! And on top of that it looks like they aggressively used a wire brush wheel on my wheel and left deep scratches. Seriously, don't come here. Go to a different location, this place doesn't deserve more business for the quality it serves.
