My reason for the 2 star review is due to an AC issue with my vehicle. I brought it in at the end of June because there was no AC - it was leaking somewhere. I let them know when I recharge it myself it will last for 2 to 3 weeks, then it blows warm air again. They inform me the wrong Freon was put in the system (I put the correct one in, but I am guessing the person before us did not as it was purchased in January of this year). I go ahead and pay the $500 to have it drained, recharged and pressure tested - no leaks or issues found - good to go. Until this past weekend. The AC went out again (less than 3 weeks after it was filled). I take it back in and let them know it's blowing warm air again. They take a look at it and they say it's low on Freon and it would be another $480 to refill it for them to pressure test it and find the issue -- even though we just did that at the end of June. No thanks.

Lets say no other parts store in the area has the part I need except advance so Im forced to do the unthinkable: buy an auto part without any warranty at all. Oh, they tell you it has a warranty, a great warranty, lifetime sometimes. But when you bring it back they NEVER HONOR THE WARRANTY. The latest faulty item was a 2 year warranty battery that died in 11 months. So moral to the story? Don't be in a hurry like me and get screwed over and over again! Go somewhere else even if you have to wait a couple days on the part....at least you'll have a warranty. Unless you're just picking up some tire shine or something. I guess they could probably handle that.

I get home, start the break job and low and behold - I was sold the wrong size, they're too thick. it's almost midnight and had to find a auto part store that was open to buy the correct size which ironically was the Livonia location. If the store didn't have the right size they should have said something and not waste my time or money be now I have to take time out of my day tomorrow and return them. They need to do better or close.

After hearing about bad experiences from friends, I recently had my own. I went to two different places -- one for an oil change and one for a tire rotation -- and both asked who had serviced my car last. The answer was Bell Tire. My oil had been overfilled by 2 quarts, which can cause serious damage. On top of that, my locking lug nuts were tightened so tight that a tire shop couldn't remove them -- I had to go to a mechanic. The mechanic even said an inexperienced person must have been working on my car, and that locking lugs should not be tightened as much as regular ones. What worries me most is that if I had a roadside emergency, I wouldn't have been able to change my own tire. Between my experience and others I've heard about, I no longer recommend this location. Thankfully, Roadrunner Oil Change, Warehouse Tire, and Mo-Tech Automotive fixed the issues, $100 later!
