I needed one of my headlight light bulbs replaced, purchased it at the Yonkers location but they don't put them in for you, although they were nice enough to try. I ended up at the White Plains location, which was crowded but everyone was nice. The guy that replaced my bulb was very efficient and did a great job. Super thankful to him. read more

Every time I come to this location there is an issue... Counter workers think they are mechanics and often leave the store unoccupied in order to look under the hoods of customers cars. This leaves lines long, with nobody to ring you up or help you get parts. Worst part about it is when they come back inside the staff only speak Spanish to each other which is extremely rude! The only reason I am not giving 1 star for this location is due to its size, they often have what I need- but only after I wait 30min for them to work on cars in the parking lot! Staff should quit and work for Mavis, not autozone. Either that or keep at least one counter worker inside at all times. Opens the store up for theft as well... read more

I stopped in the get a cleaner to get the sap off my car. One of the guys there stopped to show me a great product that he had in his car. He showed me how it worked on the car and I agreed to buy it. We went inside and they were out of it. So then he offered to clean up all the spots on my car with his own supply. He scrubbed off each one . Definitely went out of his way to help me. So very nice! I will be back! read more

This place is great - they're very helpful and knowledgeable. I usually come here for car parts or gadgets. If you need something (relatively easy) installed the associates will help you do this. I find this location super convenient to get to and they're always very friendly and assist with any car problem you may have. I can always find what I'm looking for here: cleaners, lights, wipers. My car needed a jump start to get started and we reached this location after an hour waiting on roadside assistance on Sunday around 7:50 PM (they are open till 9). When we reached and requested if they can replace batteries after waiting in queue for 20 minutes they declined saying they don't have staff, I wasn't even local to area and told that we have to travel long distance and once we stop engine then it's not starting again. But they didn't budge, probably bad location and least of help. Avoid going to the location. read more

David was helping me change a headlight in the pouring rain, to no success because my car makes that difficult. Then Samuel stepped in and, again in the pouring rain, saved my night and was able to change my headlight. The customer service was great and they were determined to not let me drive in the bad weather with one headlight. A little shocked by the incompetence of the staff here. I've been to this location before and didn't have the issues I had during my last visit. I walked into the store with no staff in sight. I heard them though-- cussing and yelling at each other behind the counter. Eventually an employee came to the front who had an expression on his face like he couldn't be more inconvenienced by my presence. Made me feel uncomfortable. I told him my issue-- my battery (bought at Auto Zone) which was only a few months old kept dying when it was especially cold outside. I wanted to get it checked and replaced if needed since it's under warranty. I couldn't even tell if he was listening or not. He looked completely zoned out and inattentive. He sent a very young guy out to check my battery. The first thing this person asks me is "red is positive, black is negative, right?" Yikes. If you have to ask that question, I'm not sure you should be checking my battery, or working at an auto parts store for that matter. I don't want you to get electrocuted! Upon testing it, he told me my battery and my alternator were both fine, so I didn't need to get anything replaced. I asked what I should do since I couldn't keep going out to my car only to find it dead. This is what he told me: "Ummm... Just wait and see what happens." Wait and see what happens?!?? I was DUMBFOUNDED at his "advice." That was the end of the visit because it was obvious to me that nobody could/was willing to help me. I've been a customer for several years, a few weeks ago I bought a stop leak product, I went to the mecanic and he said that it was not necessary , I returned to the store days later, but I didnot have the receipt and I said to the manager : "please, could I get a store card same amount, in exchange for the stop leak what I don't need", but he told me !no! in a despotic way; last year they gave me a credit for a product that I bought and then I didnot need it, and whithout having the receipt; bad service to a customer of many years read more

Awesome service. Christian was extremely helpful. Had issues with the battery and they replaced it without any questions and was very helpful with every question I had for both of my cars. They helped me change few things on my car by myself and saved me 200 dollars had I asked another mechanic to do it. I just paid for the parts and rest was their help. I saw some past negative reviews and compared to that they have turned things around for sure. Would highly recommend this place. read more

wait a minute we just had some major snow drop in westchester county and my ice scraper, retractable shovel, flash light, small bag of ice melt, liquid de icer is no longer in my trunk and i really dont have time to play detective now so i better go to auto zone in white plains and replace them all cause trying to remove snow with just gloves aint smart. good job folks at auto zone as all the stuff i need is front and center and its priced right . while i am here i do need new wiper blades and extra gallon of antifreeze and bag of fog gone wipes is also important to have during the cold winter. screw common sense as i purchase 2 of each of the things that were missing and its always better to have extra just in case the trunk bandit visits again . folks its important to be ready when it snows and have a shovel handy cause you will need it . read more

Rude and unknowledgeable staff. Went to get my check engine light diagnosed. That was free, as advertised, but the guy who did it printed out my receipt and I was expected to go on my way. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. Deserves zero stars. I went to get my battery charged and they left my car untouched for 3 whole hours. When I got there they tried to convince me it had been done, but I wasn't born yesterday. I ended up getting into an argument with the manager, Christian Chang because he was there at the time I asked for my services and accused me of not saying what I wanted done. He got cursed out. Bad. I love this place. Their Staff is really helpful and one girl (I don't remember her name with braids) saved me from replacing an alternator I thought was bad. I came in with mine and told her I needed a new one. She said ok let me check it for you and I told her I knew what I was doing and just wanted to get the new one. She ignored me and checked it and told me it was good. Long story short I had a problem with wiring and if she would have just done what I said I would have lost money and probably not refer everyone I know to this place. They are honest, which is rare to say in the car business. They mostly have what I need and keep the store very clean and orderly. I would recommend them to gearheads and people who know nothing about cars a like. read more

Excellent service! Had my battery checked here yesterday and was shown that I definitely needed a new one. They told me all of my options and then quickly installed the one I chose. Stores not crowded, there's more employees than customers and I'm standing at the counter waiting for help with employees walking around daydreaming. Finally someone, a manager I guess, tells one of the employees to help me. I needed a multi meter I see one behind the counter, but it's $100, so I ask him if he has any other less expensive ones in stock. He tells me that's not a multi meter, it's a scanner with an all knowing attitude. The rack did have mostly scanners on it, but there was one multi meter, I know what a multi meter is. He then points and says isle 1 and walks away. I go to isle 1, there's no multimeters there. He didn't even make a slight effort to help or see if there were any in the back of the store... I was hesitant to go to AutoZone in the first place because they're expensive & never seem to have what I'm looking for. But if the people working there could act like they gaf I might use them more often. I guess they don't want to keep people coming back. read more

Staff is rude. I have been in there several times and there is always a line. They don't have prices ON the items. I didn't realize something wasn't on sale until AFTER I'd paid by credit card. I had to wait on a second line and they still didn't get it right. I complained to the website and haven't gotten a response. Do not use them. When comparing this place of business to most operations I was very impressed. The reason was the personal attention. When I entered the store on a Saturday at noon a young man asked what help I needed. He immediately assisted me in finding out what windshield wiper I needed and walked to the display to select it. When I asked for motor oil for my Mazda 3 he conferred with another young man, his workmate, to make sure the right one was recommended. That young man walked to the display and selected it. I can't speak for the prices however I do commend this business for its customer service. read more
