Came in for a broken headlight.... I was immediately greeted when I walked in and seemed eager to help me. I did not get her name but the associate that seemed confident in knowing what I needed since I have never replaced a headlight before. She had asked me if it was the low beams or high beams and I was not sure so she checked and told me it was the low beams. $50 for one lightbulb was not too fun to deal with. She had offered to install the bulb but couldn't complete the task. She was either afraid of breaking something or very lazy but either way she did not seem to care. To tie it all together I needed an oil change so I had asked the mechanic if they can install it for me and I was told I got the wrong bulb, it was for the high beam. Wow. I returned it immediately and luckily there was no trouble with it and got a full refund. Really needed an oil filter for my Mini Countryman and the local auto parts store didn't have one. Decided to stop by this store on my way to a basketball game. While I was checking out the inventory on-line, I decided to just order it for pick up. Why not? I figured I'd arrive, grab it and go. When I arrived, waited in line, asked for it, and handed right over. The guy wasn't the most friendly person in the world, but I wasn't looking for a date. Wasn't rude, just had the opinion that he was above the world when it came to consumers buying their own parts. Fast, parts right there, and off I went. Not sure it is much faster than waiting for them to pick the parts, but I knew I was going to get exactly what I wanted. Would recommend again if you know what you want. read more

After living in Boerne for 4 years and having been to numerous AutoZone stores all over San Antonio for 14 years, I can say with no hesitation that the employees at this AutoZone are consistently the rudest and laziest I've encountered. It's downright embarrassing. They act like they could give a flip about helping you, never smile, and will even try to argue with customers. I had a dead battery and went to the Boerne autozone to buy a new one. Not only did the employee change the battery, but also replaced several connecting parts and worked for over an hour to make sure that I was safely back on the road to Denton. There is a reason every other auto parts store in town is busy and they are a ghost town. I only come here when everyone else is out of a specific part and EVERY time the employees are either rude and condescending or completely oblivious. Often BOTH somehow??? This place has a 2 star rating for a reason. Dakota seems to be a newer employee there. His customer service and assistance are impeccable. His boss, Felix, who's cranky and reeks of cigarette smoke, is a different story. I go in to get a replacement on a battery in warranty. Even though it tested bad, he insists he needs to keep it overnight to charge. I go to HEB and come back in 75 minutes, more than enough time for a quick charge, and his tester says to charge it again. Seriously? A colossal waste of time for me, given I live about 42 miles one way from this store. I ended up getting my replacement battery, but not without haggling. Another fun part is when I get suggested some of the add-on products on the counter intended for gasoline engines, even after I've told someone I need a part for a diesel (I only own diesels, so cleaning agents for gassers don't have my interest). **Update** Ended up calling the regional office in San Antonio to voice these concerns as well. Always my last resort store. Customer service is condescending, I always feel like an inconvenience in the store. Usually never write reviews but I rented a tool from both oreillys and this autozone. Retuned my tool to oreillys with no receipt and only a phone numbe, autozone refused due to not being able to find the tool rental in their records. Doubt this review will do anything to change how they are, they've had bad reviews for a while. But if I can help one person avoid the headache that makes it worth it. read more

Worst Auto Zone! I had bought a starter with a lifetime warranty from another Auto Zone. I called this in store Boerne and asked them to run my phone number and after getting the run around said he showed no record of the purchase. I said thats impossible cause I know I bought and replaced it myself. I asked him should I call the store I bought it from he said "NO"they have the same data base we do, and I would have purchase new. Confused as to why the purchase would not show in the system I decided to call the next autozone on the list. I gave him my info and sure enough there was my receipt in the system. Not sure if he was to lazy to look or just trying sell me 200.00 part but in any case I will go to the competitor down the street from here on out!! Sincerely long time former customer!! It was Sunday and my truck wouldn't start while at the car wash. I called Autozone in Boerne and they were a HUGE help!!! They said to bring it right over and they would install a new battery for me which they did!! Excellent service and they saved the day!!! read more

Al was a fantastic help in purchasing and installing new windshield wipers for my car.

My brake lights both went out as we were headed out of town and the store manager along with another employee worked to get it fixed for 30 minutes! My bulb had melted to the socket, some similar situation with the other side and they didn't give up even when I offered to take to a body shop to fix since it was complex issue. They never complained and were more than happy to help! Amazed at their generosity and perseverance until it was fixed!! 5 stars for sure read more

Ok, made what was supposed to be a quick stop to replace a window wiper that was squeaking way too much to make a road trip manageable. Went straight for what I needed and 30 min later I was out. Found what I needed in about 10 seconds stepping into the store with no help. Waited in line 30 min. I am a very patient person. Totally understand small town take your time and mingle character. But waiting in line for 30 min while the one person in front of me catches up with the cashier and the other cashier/ manager is on the phone with his wife getting his honey do list is just not customer service I care for. read more

About half the time I get decent service. The other half, I encounter someone that seems to hate the world and wants everyone to know just how miserable he is. The crusty old goat with the gray hair and beard does not need to be in a customer service position. Bought a ignition coil and put it on the car for about five minutes. Turns out it was not the answer to my problem. Took it back to see if I could return it. He acted as if I had asked for him to give me his first born. Said they can't take electrical parts back if they've been installed and are not defective. I asked him if he could test it since it didn't fix my rough running problem and it may be defective. That really got under his skin as if I had asked for his dog also. Rather than lose it on him, I left and decided I won't be back there again. Nothing they sell can't be purchased at NAPA or O'Reilly's down the street. This store has a history of poor service and now I've experienced it for the last time. The negatives far outweigh the positive experiences I've had there. Autozone's management needs to take corrective action. read more

Purchased five items from Autozone for $74.64. When checking my American Express statement, I realized I had been double charged under two separate reference numbers. I called the store and spoke to the manager who said there was nothing he could do. He didn't want to help and said that he didn't have access to the receipts in question; I wonder if the IRS knows he doesn't keep records?? Thankfully American Express will refute the charge on my behalf. So much for Autozone and customer service. I make 10 to 12 purchases a year but will now find a different auto parts company. I would give zero stars if I could. I am a nice, middle-aged mom. I went in with my son to buy brake pads for his very old car. We were "waited on" by Felix. He treated me so badly that I honestly wondered if I had done something to make him mad. He made fun of me for not knowing the engine (I knew the year, make and model and this was for BRAKE PADS)...literally said "duh" to me. Then when we insisted we wanted the least expensive pads (for a car that we think might last 6 more months), he completely dissed us, calling it a cheapy part for a cheapy job. Then he slammed the box on the counter so hard that I jumped. THEN, when I went to pay with cash, he sighed loudly and said, "Cash?? I can't take cash here" and "We'll have to start all over at another register". I felt like I had been a pain as a customer from the get-go when all we did was buy one part and pay with cash. THEN, he actually threw my change at me on the counter. I have never, ever, ever been treated so badly, and I came in the store in a good mood. I will NEVER go to AutoZone again. We will be O'Reilly's customers from now on. I will never shop at AutoZone again. I have only had great service at O'Reilly's and just wish I had driven the extra mile to that store. Worst experience as a customer ever, ever .Someone needs to talk to Felix and give him some customer service training, or even...tell him how to just treat people nicely. read more
