I just want to warn people about Allied Transmission. We had a 2018 Dodge Caravan taken to them to…read morerebuild the transmission. They had it for almost a month. After we picked it up on the way home we were going up a hill and it lost speed and you could smell the transmission burning. We called and told them, they wanted to know if it was leaking, which it wasn't, so they told us it was just breaking in. Long story, but we ended up taking it back five times. They kept telling us nothing was wrong with it. We had two separate mechanics tell us it was the torque converter not releasing. We even bought the extended warranty. We dropped it off one last time for him to drive. He finally told us it was the torque converter and he would have to rebuild it and our transmission and it would cost us 2500 dollars, because he said it was out of warranty. After he drug his feet, and kept telling us nothing was wrong with it. This place only wants to do shotty work and take advantage of people. We didn't let them do anymore work, because they can't be trusted to do what is right and stand behind their work. Bad way to do business.

DO NOT take your vehicle to Allied Transmission located at 100 Randolph Street in Bristol, VA. My…read more2012 GMC Sierra work truck had the torque convertor going out on it and Allied supposedly put in a rebuilt transmission on April 25th. 42 days later, the supposedly new torque converter started going out after the rebuild. This supposedly new converter was in worse shape than the original one and I had to take it back to Allied. They put another rebuilt transmission and torque converter in on June 27th. When I drove my vehicle, the exhaust was really loud on my truck. We had to climb under it and tighten the right side exhause because it was left completely loose by Allied. I went back to Allied to get a new Invoice and they refused to give me one. Rick told me that the first torque convertor that he supposedly put in was bad. Now, I have a twice-rebuilt transmission with a 22 day warranty. What if this convertor is bad too. I'm out of luck. Save yourself the trouble of dealing with a shady bunch at Allied Transmission in Bristol, VA.
