The company I used to work for had us refuel our work trucks here, because they have among the lowest fuel prices in the area. They sell both gas and diesel, and have high-speed diesel pumps, so you see a lot of heavy duty work trucks here on weekday mornings. I like the owner (at least I presume he's the owner, because he's the only person I ever saw at the register). He's a man of few words, but always polite. The gas station is located on Route 3, just a little outside of the main commercial area of Coventry, so it's a bit easier to pull in and out of here, although traffic does go faster due to less traffic congestion.

In the beginning (12+years ago) Rochelle and her unbelievably friendly, exceedingly large, dog manned the office, while brother Mickey took care of the cars. Together they make a great team of unparalleled customer service and quality car care. Located on the south bound side of Rt 2 in East Greenwich, they are close to the stop light at Middle Road. The parking area is on both sides of the shop as well as in front. There are often cars out there, proving this mechanic is busy. Park anywhere there's a spot when dropping off for service. If you chose to leave the car the night before service, there is a 'drop box' with large envelopes where you leave your name, phone, car info and work to be done. Drop the keys in the envelope, and drop the envelope into the drop box. Just be sure to call ahead to book an appointment because they are very busy and may not be able to get to it right away. (This is an educated guess on my part. Just makes sense based on how many cars are always in their lot and I've personally never just dropped off the car without an appointment. That's not to imply they can't get you in, in an emergency situation. Just call them first and let them know.) Mickey is always taking classes, staying up to date on the newest car technology. They explain every expense and either why you need it or why they recommend it. They also keep the automotive diagnostic computer software up to date for these newer cars that have so many computerized parts. Over the years this business has grown, more mechanics have joined the staff and we drop the car off at night and pick it up the next day. The car is always clean when we pick it up (a dealership once left greasy fingerprints on the interior roof liner - how?) and during this time of pandemic, we pay over the phone and they leave the keys inside. No contact drop off, no contact pick up. The entire transaction is over the phone, if you so desire. I wish I could tell you 'don't go here' because I love this place and want to keep it all to myself. Luckily we do not need so much car repair we are always there, so I share with you this trust worthy auto mechanic who truly makes you understand his goal is to keep your car running in as near perfect condition as possible without over charging you for anything, parts or service, or trying to get you to purchase services your car does not need. Even when we had a car in need of lots of repair work, he was able to give us a breakdown of what is an immediate *must* and what could be done over time (to help us keep our monthly budget in check), while assuring safety on the road. Seriously, these guys rock. We have had a variety of vehicles over the years, both new and old, and have lived in many different states (and a couple other countries) and we have found Coutu's to be top notch in car care, pricing and customer service. I hit a curb very hard avoiding an accident and my front end was in shambles. AAA came to change…read moremy destroyed tire and found that my car was pulling very hard to the left. I called my primary mechanic who wasn't able to see me for a week! In the mean while, driving as little as I could, my left tire blew because it was so badly off alignment. Got a used tire on Monday and was referred to Leo and team by the company who sold me the used tire. I called on Monday afternoon and he told me to bring it in Tuesday before he even opens. Leo and Pat and another young man accessed the damage, told me what I needed, and called around for the parts. I purchased a used strut and spindle while he is ordering the parts that he thought should not be used. Knowing that I'm on a hard line budget, with Christmas around the corner, and understanding that I need my car to earn a living and make money he took the time to put the car on the lift a second time, made a minor adjustment so that I can get to work and back with a less dangerous situation. I knew that he was genuinely concerned and went over and beyond what I expected. Thank you Leo! I will get the rest of the parts installed in a couple of days. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Although, a sitting room would be nice. : ) If you need any type of work on your wheel's, brakes, suspension etc I highly recommend them. But make an appointment and drop your car off. He won't kick you out but its cold outside.
