I found Post Road Service after doing an extensive online search and reading over many customer reviews, as I wanted to find a reputable trustworthy shop. Many of the reviews mentioned Anthony (the owner), and how he explains everything fully to the customer and you feel like you're being treated honestly and fairly. It can be overwhelming to come into a shop when you don't have a clue about cars and then having to put your trust in someone. Anthony explained everything to me in detail and didn't make me feel in a rush whatsoever, even though there were a line of people behind me. I had quite a bit that needed to be done to my car and Anthony was kind enough to highlight what needs attention immediately and what can wait til the next service and I appreciated that as I didn't feel pressured and there were no sales tactics used that I've come across at other shops. When I got the call that the job was done I can honestly say it was my first time walking out of an autobody shop happy and feeling like I was treated fairly and honestly. I took my daughters car in for brakes. The place was great, they took their time and test drove it and went a step further and removed all the wheels. They found that it didn't need brakes just that they were showing signs of wear and rust. They said that the brakes could make it through till spring. "WOW" honesty!!! I will definitely be bringing the car back to get the brakes done by them. I recommend to everyone, if you want to be treated with honesty and not feel like your being taken for a ride $$$. Horrible. The worst experience EVER. I waited a week before l called and was spoken to rudely when I asked about my vehicle. I was told he would call back when he could. I took my truck later that night. He called few days later to tell me the new part he ordered online came in and didn't fit. Two days before Thanksgiving, and my car desperately needed oil. I went to three places trying to find the oil I needed for my Mercedes with no luck. I was stressed because I needed to drive my family around for the upcoming holiday and the weather forecast wasn't looking good. I just expected to get some oil to get me trough until my next service appointment that I had to wait a week to get. Not only did they offer to put the oil in for me on the spot, they offered to do the service for me--changing my oil, checking the vehicle, etc. I got new much needed wiper blades while I was there too. I have about 1.5 million miles driving experience, have driven well over 200 cars, personally took apart and reassembled many of about 18 of my own cars and have had nearly every service performed for me including body work and engine and transmission rebuilds; and watched my mechanic uncle operate for 14 years. And I was an auto parts delivery driver for a while . So I am familiar with car repairs and companies in my state. I had a person who didn't seem credible tell me (about two or three years ago) this new service station down the block wasn't trustworthy because they were owned by another company she supposedly had a problem with. I had to try this company because it was so close, and they were not a problem like she described. They were more like perfect. Right off the bat the manager was helpful and knowledgeable. He listens to your information, and asks questions. He is somehow able to get you quick appointments even though they always seem busy (hint...). The mechanics are all experienced, not young newbies, and friendly; and they can fix both new and old cars. They are fast and on time, flexible and understanding of your time constraints or personal restrictions. They put in extra effort to try and fix small things along the way, and they don't trash your car. They can work the regional supplier system to get your car fixed as best as possible. They don't try to inflate the sale, but they do the important work if it's needed. The car goes fast when you get it back! All the parts in the right place. read more
