At the time, Jason assured me this vehicle had a brand new engine, and that a considerable amount of other parts and components where recently replaced, as Jason had owned this vehicle prior. At the time, this truck had just over 240000 miles and Jason assured me that if I brought the truck to him he would honor a "warranty" that would cover parts... No labor. At the time, i was being pressured from my organization to purchase a vehicle, so I had little choice but to agree. Furthermore, I made the mistake of not paying attention to the quality of tire and what kind of rims/tires the truck needed... 22s as it were are difficult because no one has them on hand... The truck ran fine for a couple of months until those tires had to be replaced... Only 3000 miles after I bought the truck. Increasingly, more and more, issues began to arise with this vehicle... Coolant lines needing to be replaced, oil pressure senders and sensors going bad... My dashboard backlight going out (they are not individual lamps, but a whole piece that needs to be replaced) and to top it off- the knock sensor in the "brand new" engine Jason claimed all began showing signs of wear and needed changing... Fast forward to today- 255,000 miles on the frame - I've sunk close to $2500 already, owing $2800 still and still needing close to 1k work... Igo to ask Jason to to honor his promise for a warranty on the knock sensor and the dash light as I feel they pertain to the year warranty... What do I get as a response? Defensive rhetoric and accusations of not taking care of the vehicle... This guy will go back on his word and professional promises to his customers. I wish I could continue but at this point I will not be doing any further business with this establishment.

I just have him drop ship to my mechanics and save a lot of money. I told him how much I was quoted for labor on replacing the fuel and he even gave me the name of a good mechanic to install it for much less. He said that I would be just as well off getting the part from this mechanic because with shipping charges it wouldn't be much difference. I think he works on a very reasonable margin. He is patient and explains everything even though he is only selling me the parts. He will walk you through everything you will need to install.

Unacceptable…read more It is also It is completely unacceptable that MINI USA allows its dealerships to refuse service for vehicles over 10 years old. MINIs are built to last, and many owners take pride in maintaining their cars well beyond that mark. To be turned away simply because of the age of the car -- at an authorized dealership -- shows a lack of commitment to loyal customers and the brand's community. A car's age should not disqualify it from proper service, especially when MINI promotes durability and long-term ownership. MINI USA needs to take responsibility for this policy and ensure that all MINI owners -- regardless of model year -- can count on the dealership network for support.

While doing a routine oil change, I bought an air filter--their brand, Microgaurd--from this store about a week and a half ago. It was the wrong filter, and I couldn't return it right away because my Jeep was towed (bad alternator). When I did finally get around to returning the filter, and buying the right one, Chris, the store manager, wouldn't take the return without a receipt. Again, this was their mistake to begin with, and it was their brand of filter. Now I get it, his system was not registering the sale of that filter for the past three months, and I didn't have a phone number associated with the sale. But there WAS one of those filters (the wrong one) missing in his system. The long and the short of it is that Chris couldn't make the judgment that I wasn't conducting some elaborate scheme to steal $12 dollars from O'Reilly Auto parts without a receipt. This is an example of being unable to break out of a bureaucratic system and have a relationship with your customers. They made a mistake, I had to return to their store to correct that mistake, and because their system wasn't registering their mistake (again, that is their problem) I am out $12. I know: it's just twelve dollars, and my kids aren't going to starve. But I have already told my friends to stay away from O'Reilly Auto Parts, and I won't shop there again. I'll go somewhere where I can make a joke with the man behind the counter, and where they will treat me less like a thief, and more like a customer. There are plenty of other games in town.

So if you're looking for Uni Select, you won't be able to see this from the street. I walk into the store and it's actually a little crowded. The shelves are completely full, which is good. But it looks like they're not on a bar-code system. It takes over 10,000 parts to make a bar-code system worth while. I notice that their funnels have big adhesive stickers on them with the part number on them. Just hand written. So I go up to the counter and I'm immediately greeted. That's good. I was told to ask for Oscar who's busy but helps me within a minute. He goes and gets the part we were looking for, but it turns out it's not the right part. He keeps looking and finally finds the part but doesn't have it in stock. *sigh* I have the part coming from other sources that are much closer so I thank him and leave. The price they quoted was close to the price at the dealer so this may not be a viable solution for me. I wanted it to work but not today. We may try again in the future if it comes down to it again.
