He cleaned off the battery for us. We asked him how much and he said absolutely nothing. We were floored and offered again. He said no and that is what I am here for. So I went I side to ask Jerome the man behind the counter to test my battery. He then asked is the it raining outside?? Lol why yes it is, good observation Jerome! So grab your tester and let's go get wet shall we. So he shuffled to the back reluctantly. I popped the hood then he made out like he could not see the battery terminals.... So, I said lucky for you Jerome I ha e two good eyes. And I connected them. He said his equipment was not reading. He said I'll be back. So I assumed he was going to get another device. Nope- he come back out with an umbrella.... Fiddled around wirh the device more said he must have bad equipment. So lol I asked do you perhaps have another device? He said no. So I disconnected the tester from my battery and said thanks for nothing! Went down the street they tested it no problem I purchased a battery there. I believe it was called Express Lube? They were so helpful. I called advance auto to complain about the service I didn't receive. They were kinda like Mehh... I'll pass it along. Asked for a Mgr to call me back - no one called me. I'd steer clear of this place because they can not be bothered.

Obviously this was not preferred so I called Lewisville Motors to have a used one pulled. Long story short, he found a new one (preferred for this age of car with a turbo) close to the used priced and could have it the next day. I was schedule to leave to go there to see my daughter play in a volleyball match around 2pm so was worried about the arrival time. Lewisvillle called me at 9:00am and said they had the radiator. They saved the day and now the shop in a Banner Elk has their contact information to order parts.

Minimum age is 16, which is a bit annoying. A 12-15 year old can be of great help. So my son sat in the car. I brought with me a part I had designed to test fit - which I had done before, and I planned to buy a car console. This time they said no external parts come in because of theft. They used to just mark them. I had clearly made my part and it had my markings on it. Oh well. The staff were nice enough. The real benefit of this particular yard is that they have a pretty large selection. Just bring tools and don't tear stuff up, leave the rest in good condition. I found what I was looking for and ended up buying two items.

For the trim even the ity bitty small pieces they wanted to charge $7 a piece which added up to around $200 in trim, for the trunk they said that in order for the trunk to cost what it costs on the website it has to be a bare metal trunk, I've been to countless junkyards and for the trunk they charge it as just the trunk, for the trim they give you a bulk number usually around $10-$15. All those parts almost nobody needs, the car I came in for was never touched after being in there for a month, in the end they will probably just be thrown out or scrapped for nothing which is pretty sad because I could've used them just not for what they want and their attitude, the place is very understaffed and had a line of 10 people when trying to figure out why it costed so much. DO NOT GO HERE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE.

He took my tire that was damaged out, showed me the nail that was in it, and said he'd try to find a similar tire. It took him about 5 minutes to find one. He brought it out and showed it to me and allowed me to inspect it and see if it was up to my standard. I liked that extra step because it made me feel confident in Reed's reputation. It was very reasonable and I felt really taken care of in a stressful situation.
