This review is based upon multiple visits and is not a one-time experience. I stopped in and asked them to use their OBD engine code reader. She brought it out to the truck, plugged it in, and went back inside to plug the device back into their computer to interpret the code. Long story short, the printout she gave me was spot-on perfect (5 stars). I replaced the parts but upon my return, they wouldn't clear the code to make my engine light turn off (deduction of stars). On a subsequent visit, I returned some things I bought. Yes, I lost my receipt. They gave me store credit. It's policy. I get it and agree with it. However, returning two items should not take 30 minutes. It literally took 30 minutes. I'm not exaggerating. Also, he screwed up and ended up having to return the items separately giving me two different merchandise cards. The incompetence was staggering. My wife was waiting in the car and was livid when I got back in the car (more deductions). On yet another visit, I bought some things to use the above mentioned credits. I purchased way more than the $9 in credit I had. I also ordered a Mini Cooper wiper blade for my daughter's car. It wasn't in stock but I pre-paid and was told it would be in the store the next day. I went back two days later only to find out it wasn't available. No one called to tell me it wasn't there. No one called to ask me if they should order it from a different warehouse. I told them to refund my money. Well, since I had used a $9 credit along with my purchase, their system defaults to store credit even though I bought way more than $9 of product. It also forced them to give me store credit for the entire amount of the wiper, not just the original $9. I had my receipt. Now I'm stuck with another merchandise card for $13. This policy is stupid. I fully understand the policy if my original purchase not enough to cover the $13 but it was more than enough. This aggravation is not worth shipping here. I will go back to spend my $13 but that will be my final visit. Bottom line - Gross incompetence of the employees along with some ignorant corporate policies made my multiple experiences miserable. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

I have to admit, walking in any automotive store is a nightmare for me! But I needed a new headlight as one of them is busted and I simply can't drive at night without good lighting (esp when I have 2 kids in tow all the time). I chose this store as it's the closest to my home. I got in and I'm already hyperventilating when I got in. This is completely foreign for me! Mind you, the only I know what to do with cars is to add gas on it! I don't even know how to pump my tires! Yeah, it's that baaaddd! Anyway, I was pretending to really know what I'm doing or what I'm looking for. The aisles have labels so I should be fine. Then I get to the headlights aisle and my golly I don't even know which one I'm looking for! Good thing this lady is on the same aisle as I am with a price tag her on. I assumed she worked here and we struck up a small conversation. She made me feel instantly comfortable that I mustered the guts to tell her "I have no idea what I'm looking for!" She laughed at me and motioned for me to go to one of the checkout counter. She asked the make and model of my car (thank goodness I knew!!!) and then showed me the screen of the headlights I can use for my car. Phew! Well, that was just the first part. I shyly told her, if she knew how to put this little thingy on. We got to my car and I don't even know how to pop this friggin hood! She just kept laughing at me and I laughed with her because of my stupidity! Well, finally I found the lever and popped the hood up (praise Jesus!). She then tried to remove the old bulb but was having some trouble so she went back in and asked her colleague to come out and help me. Shortly after, this guy comes out and did the work for me. I know this may sound really absurd but these guys really made my day!! They did go out of their way to help this clueless mama! Now, I know one of my brake lights are out but I'll let hubby handle that one. I'm outta here! read more

I brought my battery in, charged all day yesterday and it still measured low. Immer, the assistant store manager, said he would charge the battery on the store's charger to see how it performed. I was to come back in an hour. That sounded good as I had another task to take care of. When I came back to see about my battery, Immer said it was charging but as a last check before I took it he wanted to test it under load. He did and it failed. Good service. The man knew what he was doing. He was veteran of the US Navy, same as me. No wonder. He replaced my battery with a new one no charge. So I am writing this good review. He earned it. read more

Walked in to this store which was empty expect for two employees. I proceeded to wall buy them which neither of them acknowledged me until I said good morning. I guess they were too engrossed in their conversation to help anyone. I walked around that whole store and never once did they break their conversation to see if anybody needed any help. I guess that'll be the last time I step foot in that store they don't want my business I don't need to give it to them. read more

This is the Auto Zone on Main/35 and the intersection of Walnut St., in Pearland, Texas. I was in there a few weeks ago, and one of the employees, I think her name is Lori, hugged a customer! The customer was wearing a mask and gloves, but the employee was not! I overheard her say, 'I don't care about the quarantine, I need a hug'. The customer looked a bit shocked but hugged anyway, maybe because the customer was geared up. Now, I hear that the employee is out sick! Be aware! Not everyone thinks the COVID-19 is serious. Apparently Auto Zone and its employees are one. read more

This is a newer AutoZone store and it's always well stocked and clean. On one visit they helped me change out my battery. Even though I had some stripped bolts on it they wouldn't give up and were very helpful. I would highly recommend this or any other AutoZone! read more

My husband bought an ignition coil from here and it turned out to not work. When he tried to return it they told him they had never sold him that ignition coil. Since he had lost the receipt he accepted that they wouldn't take it back. They also overcharged, autozone online has the part for $79.99, whereas he was charged $123.00 not including taxes. Found the same part on amazon for $59.99. read more

When I came last night, I came in, in hopes to find the ratchet straps to strap down a box spring mattress. (I have been helping my aunt move her items from storage to her new apt.). When I first walked in, I didn't see anyone working (but what do you expect, they are all helping someone else). I walked around the store searching for the straps, but I couldn't find them. So, I walked to the counter (saw one employee helping some customers), I waited til he finished and proceeded. The man helped me find where the straps were (aisle 5 to the left and look down), he said. The man who helped me was named Giovanni, he was so nice, laid back, and helpful to demostrate to me how to use the ratchet straps. I wasn't quite sure how it worked, I've seen people do it; but never got the concepts on how it works. Giovanni, didn't mind showing me, he even told me if I had a problem to come back with the box spring and he'll try to help out. When I was told this I was happy. I brought the 1 ratchet strap and drove across the street to the U-haul self storage. Once there at the storage unit, I tied down the box spring, but something was getting caught up, so it was not tight and the ratchet part wasn't clicking. I carefully drove my vehicle from the storage back across the street to the Auto Zone in hopes that Giovanni could assist me. Once again, I walked into the Auto Zone and Giovanni recognized my face. So, he came out with me. While outside, I showed him the mistake I had made and told him what had happened. He immediately told me that I needed to move my trucks top railings up, so the box spring can be secure. He also saw that I had put the straps in backwards. (I have never moved the railings up, since I've had the vehicle (1996)). I figured they never moved, but Giovanni quickly started to untwist the knobs and there the railings moved back & forth. He then, strapped the back end in and recommended me to get another strap so the front end can be secure. We both went back in the store, went to aisle 5, and got one of the smaller straps (only one in stock). I was headed to the counter to pay and noticed my wallet was back in the truck. Giovanni told his manager (since his manager was already at the register) to ring up the other strap. I believed he was the one in the a red sweater and didn't have the company's attire. Giovanni told him to get it placed, so he can fix my truck up and have it ready for me when I came out. I then, ran outside to get my wallet, while I was coming back in Giovanni had already came outside to strap the front end in. Returning inside, I paid for the other strap and talked a little to the manager. Back outside, my vehicle was strapped down all ready to go, Giovanni told me that I shouldn't have anymore problems with this box spring. He also told me if I needed to get it a loose to pull the ratchet up, push the coil down, and pull the strap. We stood awhile in the parking lot after he finished, I just thanked him for the work that did (showing me how to use the ratchet, helping me before and after, and just being so nice and kind to me). I believe Giovanni should get a raise for all the hardwork he has done for Auto Zone, the customers, and for the community. (I glanced at his jacket, looks like he either used to be a firefigher or volunteers). I couldn't not do it with the help of Giovanni and more companies and business should hire people like him. Go to this Auto Zone and ask for assistance from Giovanni. He won't leave you disappointed. read more
