An amazing young man named Eddie helped me out so much with my car battery, I was having some trouble with it and needed a new one and to get it changed and he did all that for me! Sometimes God sends His Angels . . . AutoZone in Lyons, IL, is the GREATEST! My husband's battery was dead and I was blocked in the driveway because his car was in front of mine. My husband is disabled and I was on my own. I needed to get him to his doctor and pick up his meds, but we were stuck. It was 2 degrees outside and I'm out there trying to jump the car on my own. No go! I called AutoZone and spoke with Jackie. I told her my dilemma and she immediately sent James and Felicia out to me to check and change the battery. Unfortunately, it turned out the car still wouldn't start because the starter may also be bad. That's when James and Felicia jumped into action. They cleaned off both cars, scraping the windows free of ice and snow, put my husband's car in neutral and manually pushed his car to the back of the drive, then drove my car around his so we had my vehicle to get to the doctor's appointment. They didn't leave until they were sure I was able to get out of the drive way. They did not have to do this and I don't even know how to express how thankful we are for their help and compassion. God sent us 3 angels today in the form of Jackie, James and Felicia! Thank you God and thank you AutoZone. We will never forget your kindness and will recommend you to everyone we know. I had a dead battery and went to AutoZone, as I have used them in the past and they're always helpful. I went on New Year's Eve, Louis, the Manager helped me. He was very nice and helpful. Because of the make of my car,they couldn't install it, but they referred me to an auto repair shop close by,who was also excellent. They really made the ending of a terrible year on a good note! Luis Fernandez offered the best service possible on Tuesday July 28th, 2020. He's very knowledgeable in all questions asked and super helpful. He goes above and beyond for the store. And honestly if you're having a bad time, ask to speak to a guy named Luis F. Luis explained how to add gas into our Honda CRV using A/C Pro 134a. His explanation was so throughrough. Phenomenal customer service from Jocelyn C. who went way out of her way for me to take care of my head light warranty which they cover, I'm so happy that she helped me , trust me not to many employees at AutoZone would do this , they would always come up with excuses and Jocelyn went over and beyond her duties to contact her boss and was so nice about it. I can't go anywhere else ever!!! And they even installed it for me. And Rob was the one who helped me installed it and trust me, he basically did a lot for me and went out of his way to installed the bulb. Great customer service for everyone to know. In mid-November 2019 I began shopping around for a car top cargo carrier for my Ford Edge. I found many options both online and in local stores, but being a short time before Thanksgiving, many either could not guarantee delivery or were charging large delivery fees. I spoke to Jose the Friday before Thanksgiving to inquire about whether Auto Zone sold car top cargo carriers and if the store had any in stock. He took my information and called me back the next day. He said that he found what I was looking for in Auto Zone's online system and could guarantee delivery Wednesday morning, the day before Thanksgiving. I explained that I needed the carrier for travel that night and would rather pay more for delivery elsewhere if he could not guarantee it would be there in time. He reassured me several times that he could absolutely guarantee that it would be there Wednesday, either first thing in the morning or in their noon shipment. I then went to the store in person to order and pay for the cargo carrier (as he advised me I could not do it over the phone). My boyfriend accompanied me to the store. Despite the fact that I was the one purchasing the item and it was for my vehicle, Jose only addressed my boyfriend, even joking that he was going to have a big project of installing the carrier all by himself. Jose's behavior was condescending, misogynistic, and incredibly unprofessional. If I had not been in a time crunch, I would have taken my business elsewhere at that point. In person, Jose also guaranteed that the carrier would be there on Wednesday, by noon at the latest, and that the store would call me as soon as it arrived. Wednesday morning came and went and I did not receive a phone call from the store. At about 12:15 I called the store to ask if I could come pick up my carrier. The person who answered had no idea what I was talking about and Jose was not working. He eventually found my order but said that it had not arrived yet at the store. He said there was a 3:00 pm shipment and they would call me if it was in that. He could not give me any further explanation. At this point, we were delaying our travel to wait for the carrier because we needed it to pack the car. By 3:15 pm I still had not received a call and again phoned the store. The person who answered this time indicated that the person I spoke with that morning was no longer there and did not leave any notes. My carrier had not arrived in the 3:00 shipment. She then checked the computer and said that the delivery was delayed and that anyone looking at the system would have been able to tell that first thing in the morning. I was incredibly upset and asked to speak with a manager - she advised me that Jose would be in on Friday and she would leave him a detailed message so that he could call me. At this point my travel was delayed by hours, I did not have the item I was guaranteed, and I had been waiting around ALL day when anyone looking at the system could have seen the delay first thing in the morning and let me know. Friday came and went and I did not hear from Jose. I called and left a message and was told he would call me back. My carrier eventually arrived and I went to pick it up. Jose was not there on the day I picked it up. I explained what had happened to the woman who assisted me (she was a floor supervisor but I am unsure her name). She was very understanding but said there was nothing she could do about it, could not offer me anything for my trouble, and I would have to speak directly with Jose. She took a detailed message for him and even texted him while we were in the store. She promised he would get back to me when he worked a few days later. To date, I have left several more messages for Jose and NEVER received a phone call back. My entire experience with this store was frustrating, disappointing, and downright unacceptable. There was a complete lack of transparency and zero customer service. Auto Zone should be ashamed to put its name on this location and I will never return. read more

My socket to a head lamp broke apart. I thought it was some strange Volvo socket. Everything on that car is Swedish and expensive. Stopped by to see if I could find a temporary fix. Joseph took a look and found parts in stock that were exact replacements. He then helped me splice it together and got my headlight in place. He explained the part is universal. I had the worse day that turned into the best thanks to AutoZone in Lyons! My car was dead so I needed a jump to get to autozone. I heard they change batteries for free so why not! However it was really hard to get the battery out and the manager there, Thalia did what she could to make sure I got my battery on and wasn't stranded. Seeing how low their reviews are doesn't surprise me one bit. I called tonight at 8:15 because my car died and I desperately needed a battery. I asked the guy on the phone if they had the one I needed in stock and, if so, could somebody change it. He checked and said yes. I was able to get down there 20 min later and some rude girl said nobody could change it because they wouldn't be able to finish it before 9. They still had about 20-25 min. I'm sorry, but we're talking about a battery here and why wouldn't the person that I spoke with mention that? I'm sorry that you might get out 5 min later then what you are supposed to but last time I checked you are a business that offers a service. Right? What is your companies Mission Statement? I will never support this place again and make sure to spread the word about their unprofessional business ethics.
