I wasn't able to carry the battery outside which the representative did assist however when he was done he left the battery outside on the ground and informed me in order to receive the 5.00 I had to bring the battery inside due to him helping another customer. So instead of going back and forth I saw another customer walking into the store who was nice enough to assist me and bring in battery. Once I came back into the store I had to wait another 20 minutes for another associate to come and enter their password to receive my refund of 5.00. This store did not have the best service. Instead of the man who replaced my battery just start helping another person without fully finishing helping me was completely unprofessional!

I asked to exchange or a merchandise credit and she said my friend had to be there with her credit card. Makes no sense.. I had the receipt and the item wasn't even opened. I don't want to have my friend drive all the way to my house to pick it up and return it. I checked AutoZone's return policy and the cashier should have allowed me to exchange it with the receipt. I turned on the wipers, and the driver's side blade shredded immediately, so I could barely see and it was certainly not safe to drive. I got off at the first exit and pulled over to find an auto parts store. Google maps turned up Advance Auto on Wethersfield Ave. so I went there. After me buying a wiper blade, and in defiance of the banners stating free installation, the guy behind the counter absolutely refused to help me (twice), even though there weren't any customers, preferring to play on his phone instead. I was unable to change it on my own and the rain was coming down so heavily I was completely soaked. Nearly in despair, I noticed this Auto Zone across the street that I hadn't been able to see before. I managed to get to it and parked. When I went in, I asked the guy behind the counter about wiper blades, and if he would be able to help me install it. At first he said he'd have to ask his manager, but as I explained what had happened at Advance Auto, he got more and more indignant. He kept saying, "That's not right! That's just not right," and then he said he'd help me no matter what. (His manager was standing there and she just nodded.) He was willing to put on the blade I'd gotten at Advance, but I insisted on buying a new one, and then, bless him, he came out in that downpour and got it installed for me. I wish I'd gotten his name, because he is my hero. Auto Zone will get my business in the future, and I wanted to single out the employee - I'm sure he'll remember the dripping woman he helped - for his compassion and humanity. If there were more people like him, the world would be a better place.

There's about 4-5 auto stores to choose from within a 5 minutes drive of this location.
