COVID-19 Update: Still haven't exploded my car; however, my AC was now blowing out hotter air than the Sahara Desert. I wasn't in the mood to drop a couple hundred on this job and was told by a buddy of mine this is actually pretty easy to fix yourself. (Fun Fact: The first time I showed up to his place with a bottle of anti-freeze and he just about laughed his head off. AC unit requires freon... lol) Went in with my friend and during these unprecedented times, masks ARE ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED in order to enter the store. NO EXCUSES OR EXCEPTIONS. Thank you Autozone for taking this serious! We were debating on which freon to get, and a sales associatte stepped in and told us the middle tier can was his favorite and best one to use. No frills, no attempt to upsell just super honest. That's the customer service I appreciate. We were in and out in a matter of minutes, and my car works with air colder than the North Pole. read more

I came in for issues with my car's charging system. The employees were helpful and the ones I talked to just care about people. The auto industry is not always the friendliest to women, and I often feel I am not taken seriously, but I did not have this experience here. Cheyenne helped me to test my charging system and replace my battery and did wonderful. She had great service and tried to find the best outcome for me (and my car). I'm not sure if employees get bonuses for good reviews at Autozone, but I think Cheyenne needs one. I will definitely return to this location if need be. read more

A local tire dealer neglected to put my tire lug lock key (as well as my Jack and lug wrench) in my vehicle during a recent tire purchase. Because of this I needed to get a universal lug extractor, and some new locking lug nuts with a key. I went to the Autozone on Claiborne and found the extractor and a few sets of replacement locking lug nuts. I just needed to remove one of my regular lug nuts to determine what style they are before purchasing the set. I asked the employee if I could borrow a wrench so I can remove one of my lug nuts before I purchase the new set. He couldn't find one in their loaner tools so I said I would see if there's one on the shelf that didn't require damaging any packaging that could be used for 30 seconds; he said "okay". I went back up to give them my license so I could take the tool outside for a minute and the manager said "nope, you have to buy that lug wrench for it to walk out the door". I then asked her if she can let me use their loaner and again with an attitude she said "nope; can't let you borrow that tool". So I said okay I will go spend my money elsewhere and walked out the door. I was about to purchase a $35 set of locking lug nuts, a $30 lug nut extractor tool, and several other items which would have been a total well above $125. But because the employee was pretty clueless about where the loaner tools are (although he was very nice), and because the manager doesn't care about their customers; I will be spending my $125+ at advance auto parts store just up the street on Claiborne. This is at least the third time my experience the customer service at this particular Autozone was very poor. I would highly recommend anyone who needs something for their vehicle to go to a different store; NOT this particular Autozone on Claiborne. Save yourself the headaches and frustration!! I will say that Autozone parts are mostly okay to use but again go to a different store if you need some parts or tools!!! read more

Terrible experience yesterday. I called ahead and confirmed that the place offers battery checks and replacements. So I jump my car and drive over. There are a few customers in the store but not crazy. Only two workers are in the house. I ask a out the battery change and the guy says sorry, it's too busy. I told him I called ahead and he informed me things had changed in the interval. On an up note, he did offer to jump my car so I could drive somewhere else. In short, the place was really unorganized and the two guys working looked uninterested in helping anyone. read more

The battery in my truck died this afternoon and after a few hours of wrangling a successful jump from a neighbor, I made it to Autozone. Calvin helped me pick out a new battery and installed it for me and I was in and out in about a half hour. I can't ask for better customer service than that. Thanks Calvin! read more

Went in for a battery replacement. Selected the battery with the help of a clerk, Matthew. He recommended a larger battery which was a better value. He was helpful and courteous. He brought the battery out to install it accompanied by another guy who didn't have a name tag or uniform. They replaced the battery and went to secure it with the metal bar, but the bar didn't fit the larger battery. I asked them if I could just replace it with a smaller battery. They said they couldn't and installed the bar by bending it to fit the lager battery. They struggled with it for about 10 minutes and finally got it to fit. After they were done there was battery grease all over the side of the car. The no name guy asked if I had any paper towels which I did not. Also the no name guy scratched the side of my car with the end of a socket wrench. I went back inside after they were done and asked for some paper towels to clean off the grease. All in all the battery works fine right now, but I'll never go there again and I'd advise everyone else to stay away. read more

I went in this morning to buy break lights to replace the broken ones in my car. Luther assisted me in all the details, from selecting the appropriate bulbs for my car, explaining the purpose of bulb grease (protects from moisture and corrosion and helps with electrical connectivity) and actually replacing the break light for me! Helpful staff, good selection. Went in for jumper cables after a friend's car died, left with reasonably priced cables after being helped to find them by an employee. Store is clean, the line did get a bit backed up, should have had more then one person working the registers. read more

I can't say enough about my experience at this the store. I had the pleasure of dealing with Charles so I have to say in all my years of going to AutoZone this was one of the best employees that I have ever come across. My car overheated due to a hole in a hose and Charles took the time out to help me and show me exactly what needed to be done. I have had a lot of bad experiences with other AutoZones and don't think I will ever deal with another one except this store. I definitely think that he is an exceptional employee and has the best customer service skills. I called in and asked if they had a part specifically and they told me yes over the phone. So while my vehicle was broke down I paid for a Lyft ride over here only for me to get to the store and they say actually they don't have it and they can't get it for 2 days. I waisted my fare on the ride and said I was very upset about paying for a ride when you told me you had the item. No sorry for the mistake or anything, the guys response was to ignore me. Eventually someone else came over and said they could put in the order for the part that would be there 2 days later. The guy I spoke to on the phone and the same guy that ignored me on the phone way a gray shirt. Horrible service. I wasted money coming here. I called another Autozone and they said they don't really carry that brand anymore. Since mine was under warranty he would switch it with the other brand. Way better. Still upset I wasted more than $13 for nothing and time coming to this location. read more

One clerk in a giant store. She asked for help from another clerk talking to his friend. He refused so i had to leave bc it was so slow.
