I came into the shop to change my Freon as my AC wasn't working for a while now. As soon as I walk to the counter, Roberto was super friendly and helpful! He quickly found one that fit my car, came outside to add the Freon, and even checked my filters for me. Quick and easy! I walked in and someone helped me right away. I had a problem with my windshield wiper but I wasn't sure what was wrong. The employee helping me came out and took a look. She knew exactly what was wrong, helped put it back in to place and then replaced my windshield wipers for me. Easy, pain free solution that didn't break the bank! Great customer service. Also, I was on the phone with my dad while I was checking out (typical checking with my dad about car stuff before purchasing) and she was very understanding. She didn't rush me or make me feel back about being on and off the phone while handling check out and decisions - as someone who usually needs to double check with my dad about car stuff I appreciate the grace and patience with me on that count. read more

Walked into Auto Zone (AZ) in North Hollywood, 6030 Lankershim Blvd . Asked the clerk if he could help me find the right replacement blades for my windshield wipers. (I've never done this before.) He looked them up, walked over to the display, stood next to the area where the expensive ones were, blocking the way toward the less expensive ones. He told me they were sold out of the less expensive options. Paid $50. Didn't sit right with me; walked over to the display, found ones for $12 each, the right size. (I had just learned from the clerk that you just need to know the size for your make and model of car.) Walked up to the counter where same clerk was, asked if these would work. He said 'well, I showed you the ones that were recommended. I guess you can try those.' I returned the absurdly expensive ones, bought the $12 ones, watched a youtube video, and managed to install them. They work great. It's a good thing I saved the return receipt because they put the charge through for the $50 ones too, bringing my total to ~$75.....for windshield wiper blades. Disputing the charge with my bank, leaving negative reviews for this store, never going back. May write headquarters too. read more

This rating for two reasons. One, their signs say it's open at 8.am yet it's 9.12pm and it's not open. Two, I left a battery for test and charging. The woman who attended me said it would take about an hour and they would call me. Never received a call and now that I am here for my battery the place is not even open as indicated. Even an Employee is standing outside waiting. So disappointing. I hope this is a one time incident. I'm leaving and will come back in a few hours, hopefully by then who ever was supposed to open the store will have already arrived. I tried to return a starter because I was told over the phone and in person I could if it didn't work on my car because we weren't sure if it was the starter that was the problem or not . I expressed this to the employee when I bought it - he said no problem - if it doesn't play out . Return it . You'll get your money back . I come back and I had to have a stand off with the manager lady here because they didn't want to honor it . I explained how her staff is not all on the same page , some people tell me one thing and other tell me a complete other and she got offended and copped a attitude . As A long time fan of Auto Zone (Chief Auto Parts), this is well deserving from a loyal customer. When I was a young man 15 years old I knew nothing about cars. I also did not have all of the repair money to pay mechanics. I would go to this exact location for help and receive it. They would always come outside to take a look and help. Well when I would go to their top competition Pep Boys, they would try to charge for everything. Stating we have to put in on the rack to look at it. That's exactly what I did to their business. He saw me standing in line and completely ignored me and helped 3 random ppl who walked in and rang them up. Even tho AutoZone couldn't replace my battery for me, Geo reffered me to a guy that could. Geo didn't have to give me the recommendation to the place that could do the replacement but he did and I truly APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH. Geo and Vanessa are a Huge Asset to this Business. I bought pads in this store. But when I opened the box I saw the wrong pads inside the box. I decided to go to the store and refund the pads and get my money back. The seller sold the pads in wrong box that does not belong to these pads. I came to this store in 4 hours to get back the pads and get my money back, but they refused to return money and admit their mistake, because the seller who sold me the pads wasn't in the store. I suggested that they can look at the cameras, but they said that the cameras did not work. It's a terrible shop with terrible sellers who are irresponsible to their work and who absolutely do not care about the customers. Manager Gustavo M. told me to come tomorrow. I came to the store next morning, but the seller who sold me it took emergency day. Sales manager Gustavo with whom I tried to solve this problem for two days, again offered to come another day, I flatly refused, explained that I do not have so much free time to come every day to see this woman who sold me. If I could give this place zero stars I would. I'm writing this review for my mother who had to deal with this fishy place. Back in September they sold my mom a battery for her Toyota RAV4. My mom never told me that they didn't give her the papers for that purchase (red flag) but we do have the bank statements saying we purchased SOMETHING at autozone for 241 and some cents in SEPTEMBER. She took the battery yesterday and they couldn't find any record of the battery in their system and on top of that my mom came home upset because they didn't seem to care or have tried. The person who was talking to my mom apparently had an attitude problem and when she first dropped off the battery to get checked out they.. get this... lost the damn thing. How do you lose a battery?! My mom had to make another trip back this time with my dad to be able to pick up the dead battery that apparently doesn't exist.. Save yourself the trouble and go to pep boys. They will take better care of you than this place.. read more
