After talking to a few folks in the area, we kept getting the same shop name: Gobble's Automotive. We called them Monday afternoon and was able to schedule an appointment for first thing Tuesday morning. They called us mid-day Tuesday with the prognosis and gave us a high and low estimate before tearing into the system. We gave them the go-ahead. Wednesday morning, they called and said we could come pick up our vehicle and that we had the best case scenario and price was even lower than the original estimate. The group at Gobble's accommodated us in the best way possible, got us in and out VERY quickly and everything under the hood was perfect. Thank you so much for the great service!

Upon showing up, the service rep that assisted me, Mr. Andy P. was very attentive. He looked at the history of my car services and was able to determine what needed to be accomplished during this maintenance service. He was extremely professional and very pleasant to work with. I did end up staying and waiting for my car since I live about an hour away, and the waiting room inside is extremely comfortable. Tables and chairs were nice, I was able to work on my computer while I was waiting. The facilities are great, and all of the personnel I came in contact with, including Ms. Angelina C. were exceptional.!! Although this dealership is approximately one hour away from my home, it is absolutely worth the drive. The service is fantastic, they don't try to find needless "issues" with you car, don't overcharge for services....and I can't say enough about the representatives here! That being said it made me upset, then I get an unsolicited call from their used car manager Joey was outright nasty, "he wanted to clear up any inconsistencies" then gets rude when Im explaining what happened and keeps saying we've been completely transparent about this, instead of actually listening to what I was saying. I WAS NOT trying to get them to sell me a vehicle that they had already promised to someone else., and I did appreciate the way he spoke to me like I was expecting that cause I wasn't, but he was very rude. I attempted to call the store and speak rio GM and asked for him, but then the new car manager Mike gets on the phone and what a joke, I asked if he knew the situation and he says yeah you want us to sell you a Tacoma, I said no he says a Tundra and I said no, he says ok what car , and then says you want us to sell you are car we aren't to sell you. I said no and it was obvious he was trying to take a call and didn't know the facts because he didn't even know the kind of car I was calling about and he raised his voice on the phone with me and started speaking nasty to me so I hung up on him. I had been going to this dealership for service as they are my local dealership and I've had Toyota Camrys and 4 Runners all life. This has lost you a regular customer, not because of a misunderstanding over a cars availability but because of the way your management team speaks to customers when they assumed I was calling trying to get them to sell me a car that was promised to someone else. That's not why I was calling, so dont assume. I was trying to figure out what happened but because you assumed I wanted you to sell me the car you automatically started the conversation in defense mode and on guard instead of being open to discussing. You've lost a regular every day customer too

Went to maxi in red bank over the thanksgiving week while out of town and needed a new water pump…read more Upon initial contact the gentleman was nice and worked me in since I was close to the shop. When I arrived the gentleman at the front desk was bothered by the fact that I was dropping it off and once I told him I had already spoke to someone that was going to get the car in and do the repairs, he reluctantly took my keys. My wife calls to check the status 4 hours after drop off just trying to come up with a game plan as we were over 500 miles away with no other transportation. The gentleman the. Told her it would be close to closing or a little after, so I got there at closing and buddy that mechanic didn't even let me finish speaking before he started being a complete jerk. The family that took me to drop me off, went in with me and left just as floored as I was at the way they began speaking and treating us. The morning after picking the car up at 10pm the night before, I checked the pieces under the hood to find everything they touched had been broken that was brand new when I dropped it off. Was finally able to speak to someone after providing proof from a local to me repair shop that even stated the issues were a result of the damage. The establishment refunded me for the labor cost that we paid to have them screw our car up and then had the nerve to blame everything on the mileage of the vehicle and my rudeness was the cause for the issues we are having. I requested they pay for the damages they caused to my vehicle and they have ignored me since then! I would not recommend this business to my worst enemy. They are a joke and will come up with every excuse to not be held responsible for their crappy work. I have pictures of everything and if I could post them here, I would! Beware and ask around before using them because I have already heard of two local people that I know of in the last little bit that have gotten their vehicle back messed up and they refuse to fix the issues they know they have done wrong. This place is a joke that preys upon honest people that need car repairs! Don't use them!! I would consider exploring other options…read more Upon having our transmission rebuilt and rear main seal replaced by Gears we had an immediate oil leak from rear main seal (approximately 1 quart every 2 hours). Gears Transmission indicated they were not obligated to warranty rear main seal leak (in which they replaced). After 4 weeks of constant calls, broken promises to remedy, paying for repairs out of my pocket and pursuing legal action for reimbursement I finally received reimbursement for warranty work. To make matters worse, a broken bolt was discovered from seal install, meaning they broke a bolt and attempted to hide during installation. In addition, a loose bolt in transmission bell housing was also found. During transmission repair and warranty claim, Gears was horrible about providing updates; they only called/ returned our calls two times over this 9-week process. Granted, we travelled cross country day after receiving truck with rebuilt transmission and Gears had to use another shop to perform warranty repairs; however we had to take truck to 2 different shops of their choice so they could obtain multiple quotes and we ended up paying for repairs out of pocket after they reneged on paying their bill to vendor of their choice. Only after beginning legal proceedings did I receive reimbursement for main seal replacement.
