Battery…read moreperformed well until yesterday June 3, 2022, it would barely turn the engine over so I put my tester/charger on the battery and charged it for hours until it finished it's cycle and threw an FO3 Code (bad cell.) I talked with a young guy with a short beard who came out and put their beat to hell scanner on my battery, he basically ordered me to get into my car and start it, run the motor at 1500-2000 rpm then let it idle, turn on high beams, turn AC on high, turn off the motor. Rude, rude, rude! He handed me a print out from the scanner that said the charging system was fine, however he said it was not. I followed him in the store where he talked to an older guy behind the counter, who I overheard say that I needed to "learn to listen." I approached and said to him, if my battery did not have a defective cell it would have taken a charge. He reluctantly said he would replace it this time but never again. He took a black sharpie and wrote on the replacement battery receipt "NO RETURN." FYI a full charged battery at rest should read 12.75 volts. I have been a loyal customer of this store ever since it opened. You have lost me to "The Auto Zone" at Cosby Village where they treat people with respect and kindness. No the customer is not always right, but in this case I was 100% correct. To these rude men, I have turned more than a few wrenches in my 72 years!

I was an hour and a half from home and I called a few local parts stores. The people at the Car Quest on West Broad Street in Short Pump came to my car, checked to see what parts were needed, went back to the store, and came back with the part. Alan (spelling?) went out of his way to help me, by putting the part on the car for me and explaining what he did and why. This was not something that the company normally does, to my knowledge, but it was so kind. It was myself and two other young ladies (daughter and granddaughter), we were in a though situation being so far from home, but Alan and the people of Car Quest really did a good deed and went out of their way to help! I offered to pay him for fixing it right there, but he refused to take any money and I was only charged for the part. I wish I could do something to show my appreciation to Alan, so I thought writing a review would be a good idea. Thank you Alan and the managers/workers at CarQuest in Short Pump. if I could give this place 0/5 I would. Dropped my truck off for an appointment at 9AM on Friday to…read moreget a ready lift kit, wheels and tires installed. Didn't hear anything from them all day so I called around 3 to get an update. They closed at 6PM so I wanted to make sure it would still be done the same day and I was there on time to pick it up. I was told that they needed trim my bumper so the tires wouldn't rub and asked if it was okay. I said sure that's fine. So I pick the truck up around 5-530 and it LOOKED great. I drive home to Amelia and my tire pressures were unusually low and all giving different readings. I check them and two of my TPMS sensors are leaking, BAD. I find a tire shop that was open at almost 8PM and go in. The TPMS valves were completely torn and the sensors were mounted BACKWARDS! So I had to pay $250 to have that fixed after just spending $2k!! Also they "forgot" to give me the lug socket for the wheels. Called as soon as they opened (9AM) the next morning to give them a chance to fix the issue and all I got was "I'm sorry to hear that, I THINK we have some time on Monday if you want to bring it back". Absolutely will not spend another penny at this place
