We dropped off the car at 9 am and at 2pm my daughter received a call from the shop indicating all the tires needed to be replaced, as well as both front lower control arms at the tune of $900!! I was blown away! Primarily because they obviously thought they were dealing with a novice also, both arms are not necessary! Those parts were already previously replaced! My daughter instantly called her father who advised them not to repair anything. He immediately had my kids go pick up the car and take it to an authorized mechanic who corrected Staple Mills Auto Faux Pas! Apparently these vultures need to scam a few patrons to make ends meet! They were very friendly and made sure to get all the details of my vehicle to ensure they would have the necessary parts and oil. I asked if there was somewhere I could sit and work while I waited and was told yes. I arrived a tad earlier than my appointment (like 15 minutes). Upon arrival there was only 1 parking spot available, luckily I drive a small car and could fit into the space. Unsure where I would've gone if that wasn't the case. They took my vehicle back right away and checked me in. I sat in the lounge area. They have a fridge with complimentary bottled water, a coffee machine, a couch and couple of chairs and a tv. There was a smaller more private space that was next to this area with a rocking chair and space for kids to play. Nothing fancy but the Wi-Fi worked great for my VPN. They also have pictures and info about each of the employees. This is a nice touch and helped me know who was helping me. I received a text when they completed service and it gave me a link. At the link was a picture of my car and then the report of everything. I mean everything. For the tires it gave me each tires pressure along with a picture of each tire's tread. Picture of the engine. Picture of the fluids and how it compares to what it should look like. A full report with visual confirmation of everything. Very much appreciated. At checkout they explained everything they did and saw. Also explained their comprehensive rewards program that I enrolled in. Fair pricing. Overall I felt respected and that they were fair.
