The pretzels with beer cheese were incredible 10/10. The employees were super friendly

I came out of an event around 9pm and got an "engine overheating, drive carefully" message. Now I live 15 miles down the interstate - no amount of driving carefully was going to be safe in that situation. Since I'm smart and handy or whatever, I got under the hood of my car - itself a predicament that warrants watching a YouTube video. Btw it's not just me - this one time back in the day when I went to get my oil changed at a lube spot, the mechanics there couldn't get it open either lmao. Welp once I got under it I noticed the coolant reservoir was bone dry. As in there was a leak not as in I don't know how to keep coolant in my car. So I called over to AutoZone to confirm they had the right coolant in stock. BTW shout to them for still being open at almost 10pm by this point. I Ubered over, got the product, Ubered back to my car, filled it up and drove home with my hands on the wheel and my cheeks clenched tight. When I woke up the next morning there was a fun puddle of blue stuff in my driveway teehee. Highlights of this store: -open late -well stocked (this was the only place that had the European coolant I needed) -good pricing -helpful employees In case you were wondering: Busted hose, thermostat housing crack, a lot of money. visited the location on Rt 27 Kendall Park NJ on 4/20/26 had a horrible experience. The employee Malcom was beyond rude and cursed at me. I'm a longtime customer over 30 yrs never had any issues from employees before. His district manager Rafael hasnt returned my calls. The district manager George said he apologizes and would leave a notification for Rafael to contact me. I have been contacted and feel neglected. George said I should hear from Rafael in 24 hrs and now it's 48 hrs. Is scandalous and rude behavior the norm in 2026 because I can go elsewhere. read more

Cody! Had to write his name before I forgot it. The day before my visit to Autozone, I realized my car battery was probably on its way out. The clock on my dash was not matching the clock on the radio screen but would eventually sync up after the engine was on for a minute or two. When I would attempt to remote start my car, the alarm would go off instead of turning on the engine (weird stuff). When I tried to turn the engine on manually, it barely turned over. After work, I was able to drive to Nissan to hopefully get a quick look or diagnostic run on my car and was told the first available appointment was 7 days later. Next morning, my car alarm went off again when attempting to remote start my car. I eventually made it to my car to find out my battery died. Let's fast forward to me getting to AutoZone, because that is why we are all here. I was greeted immediately by a guy behind the counter. I explained the issue, and he connected me with CODY to test my car battery and get my baby all fixed up. Cody was extremely professional, explained everything he was going to do before he did it, provided me with different price options, and changed out my battery. He was quick & efficient, and I greatly appreciated the help. I offered him a tip which he would not accept. Instead we exchanged a little conversation, and I made sure to get his name. In conclusion, Nissan dropped the ball and Autozone saved the day. So FIVE STARS! And thank you, Cody. read more

Very friendly and helpful employees. I came in for some fuel cleaner and was about to check out with one that was more expensive than I liked. The cashier pointed to the one on sale right next to the register (and was actually the brand I had been looking for). Score! Afterwards he ran my OBD codes and went over the print out with me. Highly recommended, especially if you are a woman. Prices are good and occassionaly there are sales. Excellent service by Adrian and Carl tonight. Adrian showed me the different types of engine oil in the store and helped my choose the correct one for my car. I made the purchase and went outside to fill the engine oil, Carl even helped me carry out those heavy 5 at oil jugs. I was having a little bit of a problem. Carl helped me get the oil into the engine despite the weather. That's the best my car ran in a few months! read more

The AutoZone itself (meaning the interior, exterior, and what they have to offer in comparison to the majority of other Auto Zones or similar auto stores) is awful. It's cramped, dirty, and rundown. On the other hand, though, I have had great experiences with the employees here. All of then in fact. One in particular, William, was very knowledgeable when it came to helping me with my radio installation and wiring harness attachment. I'd definitely come here again for the customer service, I just hope one day corporate can clean up the eye sore of a building. read more

Jan 31,2022 Tony R. Was so helpful and kind! When I went to the Auto Zone in Hillsborough they sold me the wrong battery and didn't try to help me install it. I called these guys in Raritan and they told me to come over. From the time I entered until I left, they were funny, kind, patient, and super informative. They didn't just sell me stuff. They explained everything. Tony was really helpful in installing my new battery, refunding the other one I got, and explaining the different parts under my hood. I didn't even know what all the fluids and stuff were that I needed to refill, but he helped me refill them and explained the importance. I wasn't alienated because I was a young female. Instead they were engaging and sweet. I'm totally coming back here if I have any issues. Thanks guys! Shopping at this location turned out to be the best customer experience I've ever had at a AutoZone store. Phil, the store manager approached me to find out the reason of my visit. When I explained to him that needed a replacement for a headlight bulb that I have purchased at another Auto Zone location he offered to do an even exchange at no extra cost and even offered to replace the bulbs himself. He went above and beyond to turn this experience into the best one can have. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. This is the type of customer service you'd expect and unfortunately is hard to get now a days. I would definitely shop at this location once again. I wish I could rate them 10 stars!!! I have been here MANY times. All the Autozones are great, but this one is ALWAYS wrll staffed & they always have time to help install windshield wipers, brake lights, filters,etc; WHILE YOU WAIT for "NO EXTRA CHARGE"! If you went to dealer or auto repair they would charge you LOTS of $$$$ for this service Autozone does for FREE! So I would like to give a special shout out to Phill & Imran. They are both very good with customers & always seem to be in a good mood, which is nice in a hectic world. I have literally saved HUNDREDS of dollars in repair bills from garages, by having Autozone people do it for me. They also "help" to teach so you can do it yourself at home the next time. I will continue buying autoparts & supplies here. Amazon might be a little cheaper, BUT they won't install anything for you at no charge! read more

They were able to help me replace a battery. Not knwoing the first thing on what to do, they were able to come out and check the existing batter ( I have two in my truck), they found one to be dead. They replaced it at no added cost, thank you read more

Not a big fan of the place but will stop in if there are no (or very little) cars in the lot. I simply hate any store or other place that has an ambiguous line. There are just customers standing around and I dont know if they are waiting for part information from the computer or if they are waiting to pay?? I do know that I need to take a friggin survey to find out whats going on with everybody. God forbid you inadvertently step in front of some gang banger theses days and "disrespect" him because the line isn't clear-cut. The place is too damn small and there needs to be separation of the parts counter and the cash register. (think pep boys, or Strauss) even when it is slow it is kind of annoying to hear the employees' trivial banter between one and other. If it was bigger I wouldn't have to hear it. read more

FEMALES BEWARE! I was given a recommendation to try this AutoZone as they were "very helpful" and would test my battery for free. The man who helped me spoke to me as though I were a child and I didn't know a thing about cars. He told me my battery had a charge of "0" which I know is not true otherwise the car wouldn't have started and the radio wouldn't have worked. I was willing to put up with his demeaning language and talking down to me just so I could get a new battery and get out of there. He disconnected and then installed the new battery, I paid and I was out of there. As my car was crossing RT 206 ( A very busy highway), it started to shake and wasn't responding normally This had NEVER happened before and I was worried. I stalled right as I got through the intersection. THANK GOD. A guy behind me pulled over to help and when I told him what happened, he suggested I go back to AutoZone and make them fix it. I got my car back to the parking lot. When I got back to the store the same guy who first helped me came out to see what the problem was. HE HAD NO IDEA! To make a long story short, I spent another 2 hrs in that parking lot and the guy couldn't fix the problem that he made. I had to call AAA and have my car towed to a private garage where I had to pay more money for them to diagnose the problem. The problem... My car needed to be connected to an alternate power source before changing the battery. My car is over 10 years old and this guy should have known that. After I knew what the issue was, I then had to pay to have the computer "synced"" up again with my car. I WILL NEVER go there again and suggest to all girls they stay away from this place. read more
