This review is long overdue. I had picked up a Stelvio from Fullerton Alfa Romeo last year 2018. After negotiating with multiple dealers for a particular built I got in touch with Rob Long and Scott who had the car I wanted and the color combination, very rare Pearl white with red interiors. They were willing to beat any price that I had got from other dealers. Overnighted the documents and also upon delivery of the vehicle I handed over my previous lease which they returned. They also had agreed to take over a month's payment of my previous lease and to honor a true car cash discount on top. I never had the opportunity to use their service as I stay in NY and the commute will be extensive, so I can't comment on that. In short, I highly recommend this dealership. My car was due for an oil change but the navigation in my stelvio had stopped working for a while so I asked them to fix it. This turned in to a three week nightmare and after they finally figured out the problem and I got my car back after three weeks, they sent my car back with the grab bars in the back of my car off and dimples in my backseat. They came and installed the grab bars but told me the dimples in my seat will pop back out. What a bunch of jokers. It's been a week and I am still waiting for a resolution to getting my seat fixed. I even called and asked to speak to the service manager but never got a call back. This is not going to end here this will have to be resolved. Tire pressure light went on in my Giulia, and I was in the area. Had a weird encounter earlier that morning at a Mavis tire, so I figured an Alfa store would be a little better. Nope. The service department was empty / dead, and there was only one advisor there on this Saturday morning. I asked him if they had a tire pump that customers could use, and he kind of just stood there dumbfounded. I further explained that my light was on, I needed to top it off with more air, etc. He looks at me still somewhat blankly, peers outside the window at my car, back at me, and asks if I bought the car here (siiiiiiiigh). I said no. He thinks about it some more, looks at me, looks outside at my car, looks at me (yes, like the Old Spice commercial) and finally settles on: "I have to write up a service order for every car I bring back there" hoping I'd go away. So I went away, somewhat amazed at how terrible that was for a "highline" make. I've worked sales at car stores before, and you should just make the drive to Whippany for Alfa stuff, honestly. Sooooo disappointing! I went online to their website and found a car that fit my needs. The salesperson pops up on a chat and I request a quote on a specific car. She quotes me a price that worked for me. I then made an appointment for Saturday to purchase the car. When I arrived they told me that was not the price. It was $100 more a month for the exact same car. I had the price in writing! And they wouldn't honor it. They haggled with me for over an hour and they had my friend believing it was a good deal but it was still $500 more down than I was quoted and $40 more a month! I had a quote in writing! I drove over an hour to this dealership and wasted most of my Saturday. I hoped they would do the right thing and honor the online quote but they did not. They scammed me and wasted my time. Bought my Abarth in April 2014. Found out a few months ago that all service work has been moved down to the street where Chrysler Jeep and Dodges are serviced. No appointments can be made ahead of time, first come, first served. I've watched the service deteriorate over the past few years. I used to be able to get a loaner for the day, not anymore. Now I have to take shuttle. Once I took it, and it took me 2 hours to get to my work (I work 5 minutes away from the dealership). I'll be getting rid of the car later this year and won't be shopping at Fullerton. I don't have time to sit in a waiting room or shuttle bus all day. read more

I purchased a Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrafolio and a Maserati Levante and love the cars however the service department is trash to say the least. I had a throttle body error at approximately 6K miles. I informed the service rep that I wanted a full service including the "free" oil change done so I didn't have to return at a later date. Figured it's there do what needs to be done. Fast forward my check engine light came on so I brought it in for service, again requesting complete serve including an oil change. I received a call that my initial oil change was never done and my "free" oil change is expired lol now they want $240 for my oil change. No thanks! I would rather pay anyone else that or more to perform the work. I will not be returning to Fullerton or any of their affiliates except for warrantee work that I don't pay for. I refuse to give this dealership a dime. Fools should look up how many vechiles I've leased and purchased over the past 10 years at Fullerton (no less than 10) . Its not the $240 its the way you're treated at this dealership that caused them to forever lose a loyal customer. A 2012 Dodge Challenger with a leather interior and sunroof with under 5,000 miles on it. One previous owner. Certified preowned. I negotiated a price with Jason L of Fullerton Dodge. I showed up bright and early (9:00am) Saturday morning with my cashier check. Visually inspected the vehicle and took it for a test drive. Signed the papers, paid the dealership, Jason L. attached the NJ Temporary In Transit Plate and I drove home with my "new/used" vehicle. I was on the road by 10:15am. Sweet. No complaints. read more

*you need to read this* *you need to read this--it's too late for me but i'm trying to do everyone else a favor at this point* they told me my turbo was bad but they cant warranty it because the previous owner messed with the "wastegate actuator." i go to pick up my car and was told by brian that they are the ones that messed with the wastegate actuator. so why was my warranty void then? wtf?? did you forget what your original reason was or what? i even asked him again "wait you meant he previous owner right?" brian responded again saying "no no we did that for you." again, wtf? so why was the warranty void? i tried asking the owner, dean, about this and he had no answer. nonetheless, i go back out after the bring my car to the parking lot and they drove my car for over 110 miles. what is going on? why?? after talking to several mechanics and dealerships they all said the same thing--there is no reason to drive a customers car that much even if they had to test something. i also asked the owner, dean, about this and again had absolutely no answer. i look in my glove compartment, money was missing. i asked the owner, dean, about this as well and he blamed me for leaving money in my car. granted it was only 15 dollars, but there is absolutely no reason to blame a customer for this. now, i bought a new turbo since they said that was what the issue was, got my own mechanic to install it since they said my warranty is void (even though they admitted they are the ones that got it void by messing with my wastegate actuator), and guess what? it wasn't the turbo at all. same problem even with the new turbo. yea, thanks fullerton fiat--you diagnosed my car as the turbo being bad, messed with my turbo and lied saying that it was the previous owner of the car so there is no warranty and then when i get there to pick it up admitted several times at this point that it was the dealership...then i spent 2000 dollars for a turbo and labor, and it turns out that wasn't even the f**kin problem. the other mechanics i spoke to have told me it should've taken a dealership 30 minutes or less to determine if it was the turbo or not. meaning, fullerton fiat just jumped to the conclusion it was the turbo without taking a little bit of time to determine if it was the turbo or not (like, a leak in one of the pipes, for example). i have yet to get a response as to why i was told the previous owner messed with the "wastegate actuator" when brian and now the owner, dean, have both admitted it was the dealership that did that. i have yet to get a response as to why my car was driven over 110 miles. i also have yet to get a response as to why money was stolen from my car. read more

The experience with this dealership started off decent, but got WORSE & WORSE as time progressed. I leased a 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia and it has been a nightmare. The car has had a check engine light since the 2nd-3rd week, and the dealership has done nothing at all to rectify the issue. I spoke to someone in the service department and he gave me a laundry list of things that it could be, but that didn't resolve anything. I live about an hour from the dealership and drove there on 2 separate occasions and was barely acknowledged. The 1st time, I was told that it would be at least 1-2 hours for them to even look at the car to tell me why the light was on. I asked them if they could setup a loaner for me, which they refused because it was a weekend. I specifically stated that I work from 10AM-7PM M-F and it isn't possible for me to get there before 6PM on a weekday, which is what their "Loaner Program" requires. I bought this to my Sales Reps attention as well, and he stated he would get it taken care of. I am still waiting on that call or email. I was also promised some courtesy oil changes as part of my deal, and I am still waiting on the confirmation of those as well. I have had the car for about 8 weeks and I wish there was a way I could return it. I am already receiving notifications of a recall with the BCM, and I am having major issues with the latch on my drivers side door remaining closed, EVEN WHILE I AM DRIVING. This car is so poorly made its frustrating that I traded in a beautiful Infiniti Q50S and am dealing with such a downgrade in vehicle, and Customer Service. I made an appointment to get my oil changed for my 2014 Fiat 500L. Everything went smoothly in the online appointment process. Got to the dealership only to find out that they had moved the service to the Jeep area 2 buildings down. The service advisor saw that I had an appointment and stated that the oil change would be $39+. I had to tell her that I have free oil changes until 2020. Not sure why that wasn't in the computer but it should have been. Before I got my car back, she came out to tell me that the service person stated that I should have a tire rotation for $50+ and fuel injection service which was $100+ ( I might add that the fuel injection cleaning IS NOT part of the manufacturers scheduled maintenance.) I declined both services. I was a little annoyed because it was like going to Jiffy Lube. Yeah I know that Fiat is part of the Chrysler family but I liked it better when you felt you had bought a special vehicle. I love my Fiat but not the new service area. So what makes it even funnier is that I received an email telling me the service had moved, after I had the service. read more

It has been back for service three times. She travels the NJ turnpike and it just dies, no warning .... first time service claimed it needed updates. Second time dead they claimed bad gas. Rock stars! I'm a very picky with whom I give my business too and I would give these guys my business over and over again. First off I live in manhattan and the idea of driving into jersey to get a car made me cringe but after speaking to Manhattan Maserati Alfa Romeo for 4 days, spinning my wheels and Ray the rip off Catena, I needed to reach out to these guys. Boy am I happy I did! They were able to get me price that neither of these two dealerships were even close to. They got me approved and had me out of there within a couple of hours. I bought my Fiat here as a commuter car over three years ago when they first came out. The service staff are great and I have never had to go back to have something fixed again. They accept walk-ins and provide loaners if you contact them in advance. They keep you informed if it's taking longer because of troubleshooting. Tire prices are unusually reasonable for a dealer. They are far better than the Nissan dealer (rt 22 Plainfield ) and Chrysler (next door to fiat ) when it comes to repairs. I had a Town and Country I brought in six times in a row for the same fan belt issue to Fullerton Chrysler. The Fiat guys fix it right the first time and have you on your way. I should have bought the Fiat brand warranty instead of the off market one they pushed. It has never covered a repair. It would have been cheaper to pay a little extra. Stay away from the non-manufacturer warranty. It was a waste money. The Fiat extended warranty is a lower stress way to go and covers you at any dealership without hassles. Today I learned the warranty wasn't in the computer. They went trough their papers and are adding it to my profile. I probably paid for covered repairs. That's lost money. Will I go with a fiat again? Probably not given I paid a premium price (only Fiat dealer around at the time), and way too many repairs compared to my Mercedes SUV. Fiat needs to improve reliability. It has never broken down on the road or needed a tow. It's all the little things I have brought it in for. I would give this place four stars, but the WIFI is slow and times out. I have been here many times and it is terrible. It would be nice to be able to get some work down while my car is being worked on. read more

After being spoiled by great service at Fiat of Springfield for 3 plus years (sadly, they have closed down), I am beyond disappointed with my service experience at Fullerton thus far. I made an appointment for an oil change and to get new tires about 2 months ago. The service took about twice as long as it used to take at Fiat of Springfield. Not only did I have to spend 40 minutes driving both to and from this dealership, I spent half my day waiting for my car to be finished. Then I realized that the person who had taken my information had set up my account under the wrong last name. But it gets even better! I just called this past Tuesday because my "check engine" light went on over the holiday weekend. I am extremely concerned that something serious is wrong with the car. The woman who took my call when I called the Service department to make an appointment told me "well, we are booking out to June 1st for Check Engine light appointments". Say what?!!! Meanwhile, when I had called to make my previous appointment for an oil change and new tires, they told me to pick any day I wanted to come in! How is it acceptable to allow one of your customers to drive around for TEN days in a potentially unsafe car / hazardous conditions?! It's not bad enough that in the almost 4 years that I've owned the car, I've had to have the entire transmission replaced TWICE. I can't wait for my car to be paid off so I can buy something elsewhere and be treated with some appreciation and respect. read more

I had a very pleasant experience buying two trucks at the end of May from Fullerton Ford. My salesperson Aubrey was excellent and very patient with all of my questions. We traded in a 2012 Escape and a 2010 Civic for a 2013 F-150 FX4 and a 2013 Escape. With the double trade in and purchase it makes sense that it took some time. We were seen on Saturday May 25th and then were in at some point or another for the rest of the next week until finally getting exactly what we wanted on May 31, 2013. Aubrey was really great at listening to our wants and needs and never tried to get us to add options or upgrades that we didn't specifically ask for. Their flow works well, they use the FIAT building for most of the paperwork and the finance team. We walked over there after settling everything out for our two cars and the finance guy was very personable. He explained our options for warranties and even suggested the GAP insurance for the one trade in/swap for the Escapes, which really made sense considering the $4,000 in financing left over after the trade in. I was very impressed with everyone I worked with and we even had Aubrey working on his day off! He came in for quite a few hours on Thursday to try and secure the F-150 I wanted and get it down to Somerville from up in NY in one day. He delivered. Job well done - never have I had a better experience with a dealership and I have leased 4 cars and bought 2 others. I will return to Fullerton for my next car buying experience. I purchased a 2017 Alfa Romeo Certified Pre-Owned Giulia from Fullerton Alfa Romeo. Great car. Terrible dealership experience. 1st, the salesperson, Rob Long, tried to tell me the price was $500 more than it was listed on Edmunds and Autotrader. After I pushed back he relented. 2nd, when I arrived to pick up the vehicle it had 1,800 more miles than advertised - almost 9,000 instead of 7,200. He didn't seem to think this was a big deal and only after asking I received a set of car mats for this misrepresentation. 3rd, when I asked Mr. Long if the car had ApplePlay he told both my wife and I during the test drive that it did. It turned out it did not and he later claimed that I "was misinformed." True. By him. 4th and most importantly, the advertised and promised 6 YR/100,000 MILE warranty was not delivered. Instead it was registered with a 5 YR/60,000 MILE warranty and neither Fullerton Alfa Romeo nor Alfa Romeo/FCA Group will supply the advertised and promised warranty after almost two months. I had to buy a new car in a pinch because my Jeep broke down on me and I wasn't about to pour money into an old vehicle with almost 200K miles on it. I ended up buying a certified used Ford yesterday from Fullerton Ford. Being forced to look for a new car before I was ready was not a situation I wanted to be in, but the salesman, Aubrey Brandt made the experience as painless as possible. I despise pushiness and I would have walked out if I felt pressured in any way, but at no point did I feel like I was being hounded. I was given all the paperwork and records I asked for and I was treated with kindness and patience. All of my endless questions were answered and worries were addressed. Aubrey was even able to make me laugh on a day that I really would have rather have been doing ANYTHING else. (I find car shopping to be extremely stressful!) I am so disappointed in the service department at fullerton! I brought my 2 year old car in because the ac is shot. They told me up front that because my car is less than 500 miles over the warranty (even though the problem probably occurred while it was under warranty but I wouldn't have know bc i don't use my ac in the winter) they wouldn't honor it. Then after talking to numerous people in the fullerton service department they said they may be able to help me out but they can't be sure without running some tests on my 2 year old ford edge...These test cost me $100! Then they told me they definitely can't do anything to help because the condenser was damaged due to my negligence....however they couldn't show me the damage. They said that a little tiny pebble probably got kicked up on the road and but a pin sized hole in the condenser and all of the fluid leaked out. hmmm...sounds like poor engineering if thats the case. I was so upset that they made me pay this $100 and couldn't help me out...as a matter of fact it was an additional $1100 to replace the part (well the part was only $600 but the rest was for labor). Finally I took my car to a local garage who was recommended to me. After they removed the part they showed me that they was NOT a pin sized hole created by a super strong pebble, rather the hole in the condenser was created by the friction of the valves rubbing. The way the car was engineered caused the problem! Also, they other garage charged me a total of $698.
