The guy who works AT this location deserves a raise / bonus ... at least a good Yelp mention and THANKS. However...NATIONAL MANAGEMENT? ... note: First--this deals with only a $3.26 item (tho that gets more interesting when you know this is for a Mercedes I'm restoring...and sure enough the MB dealer was 1. ready to charge a ton more AND 2. THEY--the Mercedes dealer--didn't even have it stock! THIS Autozone was able to get this Mercedes part for me within just a few hours wait for it to be delivered (to them--the counter guy kindly phoned / looked up other stores for me, too, without being asked)--delivered there later the same day. BUT--my first phone call(s) were to the number you get googling Autozone about this location--the older / wise sounding man on the phone said that location had it in stock (wrong) and "I'll GIVE it to you" when asked the price (also wrong, tho' it was only $3--but that's not my point). OK..."give it free" to me was a total surprise--alto it's just a cheap washer...so it was possible I was experiencing someone who REALLY knew how to start a business relationship with a customer !!??! (I had clarified that I was restoring this 30 year old Mercedes--which is absolutely true.) I even phoned a second time to ask their location (Parthenia and Reseda)......thinking I'm talking to someone on scene. THE PLOT THICKENS: AT THE COUNTER...a VERY sharp, nice guy politely but clearly said: that's a national call center (??) somewhere far away.....and no, they did NOT have the part...but, in hours, could get it. HE handled THAT so well...and I'd gone CONSIDERABLY out of my way that particular day...that I'll probably do my restoration business into the future there. But this b---s---t of the "national call" answer(er) who was 1. wrong, 2. what, joking? ....... that needs to be smacked down by management forthwith. IF NOT for the nice, articulate, quick-acting guy at the counter ... ....... this review would be far different, as would my future business (and there are a LOT of things to buy when restoring an old Mercedes).....then again.....that was such a screw-up on a national / call answering basis ... Bought a net for the back of my truck because it was labeled for $9.99 and there were a bunch in the spot. When I got to the register it rang up $19.99. I was there sometime this week. And I am glad I went. My car was showing 3 lights for check engine, vcs and another one that I don't know what it is. I was worry since I don't anything about cars. I was told I could take it in to pep boys. Which I did they did the coding and they told me there that there was 8 things wrong with my car. I got so worry. Than someone else mention to me about Autozone and I took it there. I am disability right now so it was hard for me to connect the machine under my steering wheel but I did it. In a few minutes I was told that this problem was my gas cap. And they were right. If I would haven't taken it to auto zone I would had spent so much on my car because of what pep boys said. I went to this Autozone and gathered my oil and stood in line to purchase. They were busy. As I watched the crew service customers, I waited about 5 or 10 minutes in line to purchase my items. I could hear someone behind the wall answering the phone, but when they hung up I was surprised they did not come around the corner to help. I finally flagged an employee down and she came by to ring me up and I asked if the oil was on special. She did agree it did come with a free filter, but said I would have to wait in line to be helped with a filter. I mentioned I had already waited to purchase my items while they manned the service counter nobody was manning the register. There is an O'Reillys about 2 miles away. If I have to stand in line again. I might as well go over there and stand in line. read more

I come to this AutoZone very often. Every single time I come in, there are never enough employees. This AutoZone gets packed daily but they can't get the hint. They NEED more employees. For help you're usually waiting about 20-30 minutes in line. To pay you're waiting 15-25 minutes. Other than that, the store is clean and everything other than the tool area is very well organized and easy to find. Employees are very nice and professional. read more

Thought Auto Zone would offer better service than Pep Boys. What a joke. But boy I was wrong. The service here reminded me how screwed up we are as a society. The mere fact company's just like this don't mind taking your money with a smile but offer really bad service speaks volumes about how we as a country allow quality service to fall to the wayside. And we as consumers tolerate it because we are too f-ing lazy to do anything about it. As long as WE continue to support company's like this and spend our hard earned money there, nothing will ever change. I was wondering how could an AutoZone have three stars when people there are supposed to love cars well I found out the hard way I came to AutoZone on Friday December for approximately 8:55 PM I called two minutes prior to because I knew that they were about to close I asked the manager if you can grab a headlight for me for my 2006 BMW. He said yes I pulled up at 8:55 PM I asked the guy who checked me out employee number 197158 if he could take a second to install my headlight for me being that it only takes a minute he told me that it's too dark outside and that I should come back tomorrow. I tried my best not to cuss him out because I'm a lady and it's Friday night and the police stop shoe in Los Angeles for anything and I just wanted to change my headlight so I wouldn't give them a reason to stop me. I was appalled and offended that he said no that I should come back tomorrow because it's too dark outside it gets dark at 5 o'clock now it gets dark at 5 o'clock now what the hell kind of answer is that that's why I'm giving y'all a one star and I will never be returning to this AutoZone again and less I'm broke down and there is no where to go or maybe I'll just wait to the next day when the sun is shining and go to another damn AutoZone whack! read more

Came to the store to purchase a battery for my Honda Shadow motorcycle that I had just bought. I had not removed my battery yet so I did not know what it looked like, gave them all the info they asked for. They sold me a battery that didnt fit. I had to go to Robertson Honda to buy something for my Honda Accord, and on the way there I saw a Honda motorcycle dealer on Lankershim Blvd. I went in and gave them all the info about my motorcycle and they sold me the correct battery. The next day I went to Autozone to return the wrong battery they sold me and the Manager did not want to give me a refund because he said the battery was installed. Complete lie!!!..he was very rude too, after a few minutes of us arguing he finally refund me the money. I dont have a problem with the store, I have a problem with the manager there. Sooo rude. I would not return to this spot, or even to any Autozone. I bought a battery (for over $100 mind you) and it couldn't even hold a charge after a day of driving. They said that my battery had a warranty of free replacement for three years, so I brought it back the next day and man they were such JERKS including the managers. I don't think they know anything about customer service over there. I brought it back the third time cause i was NOT going to pay for a new battery. the manager looked annoyed the minute we came to the cashier. My Uncle was asking him serious questions & was polite, and the manager kept giving sarcastic/rude remarks, just like the manager from the night before. he told us that we had to return an hour later in order to let the battery charge and see if it doesn't hold a charge. when i came back it wasn't one of the young men who 'helped' me, it was an older man. this guy's the only reason why this place gets one star because he was the nicest one there with my experience. he saw that my battery was a bad one and gave me a new one, free of charge. the manager looked disgruntled that he gave me a battery. they really need to fire the whole staff except for that guy and hire people who know what they're doing. not a bunch of young guys who know nothing but bs. read more

I just had a great experience at this location. The manager Max was extremely helpful with replacing my battery. I young women by the name of April was initially the first person who greeted me and asked if I needed assistance. She was quick to get the necessary equipment to check my battery and together we found out I had an extremely bad battery. Which explains why my car had to be jumped twice earlier this week. Anyways, she went straight to Max when I asked if I could get help In swapping my old battery with my new one. Max was nice enough to say yes and went ahead with coaching her and I step by step how to do it. I really enjoyed how he was so willing to teach us the process. April and Max were great and I am definitely coming back here due to there excellent service :) read more

My husband and I stopped to get windshield wipers. We thought it would be a simple transaction. In and out. We had our two boys in the car since we were on our way to the park. My husband went in and it took about 20 minutes for someone to help him get the correct wipers. He came out and tried to put them on but they were the wrong ones. So he went In and said they were wrong size. One of the employees came out to our car to make sure they were in fact the wrong size, which he was yelled at by the manager for doing so. He went to the back to check if they right ones were in stock. This took about another 20 minutes. My husband was told they didn't have the right ones in stock. Naturally my husband wanted a refund. My husband gave them the receipts they gave him and they said those weren't the right ones and they couldn't give us our money back without the other receipt. My husband and I never left the lot and we were parked directly in front of the store. They had to get the manager involved in order to issue a refund. This whole fiasco took about an hour. We ended up ordering from Amazon. The cherry on top of all this was that the blades at auto zone would cost us 60 bucks and were 25 on Amazon! One star for overall horrible experience and manager 5 stars for the guy who came out to help. read more

I went in there tonite like maybe 5-10 mins before they were closing to get a headlight which I desperatly needed. So when Im paying I asked if someone could put it on for me because I wasnt sure if I knew how or if I needed tools or had some even inmy car and I had to have a headlight, dont need any LAPD's stopping if u get me. She told me after 8 pm they dont do that kind of thing for customers anymore. I did not know this. By the way I believe they are open till 10 every night maybe not Sundays but all other nights. It says only 9 pm on here.I guess I looked really sad about them not being able to do it lol. The girl working there Gizelle told me hey if u cant do it when I get done here Ill go out there and help you do it . So I was having problems with it. She came out and helped me and was so helpful and nice. I had something wrong withthe thing u plug the bulb into and she fixed it and knew what she was doing very much. She was very cool and helpful. Went in to purchase a replacement battery (highway robbery btw) I was initially helped by a nice sales clerk who was above and beyond helpful. I went outside to make calls and compare pricing with another place. I then decided to bite the bullet and buy the battery since I was there and mine was completely drained. There was a second boy who was standing there and asked if I needed help. He was very slow with the processing of the sale. He took his phone out to decline the call after he had taken a good look to see who it was while I was waiting to be rung up. He then insisted I add on some felt parts to "conserve" the battery's lifetime. I declined because I do not plan on keeping the car for long and he asked me: "So you don't care if your battery last?" I said no. Then he replied in a condescending manner "o...k..." so he added it on anyway and he said he did me a favor still in a condescending manner. He was also sarcastic and rude to myself and other customers in line behind me. As I appreciate that "favor" the experience was awful and he has no business working in customer service. It's people like this kid as to why I avoid sales clerks and shop online instead. I'm glad I don't have to go in there again for a very long time. Customer service needs improvement. read more

Worst customer service ever; I bought a $96.00 battery from them which they absolutely refused to help me install into my car; as the manager Alfredo said he did not want any of his workers to go outside under the fully shaded area (5 seconds from the front door I might add) as he is afraid they will get heat stroke; I find that pretty entertaining since I have had people help me in Phoenix Arizona install parts in 120 degree heat; it takes 3 minutes to install a battery................. read more

AutoZone Reseda - Uncaring, ignorant fools. I ordered a part on Saturday night and was told it would be there Sunday by 3:30 PM. I go down to get it and am helped by "Gus" the grouchy old man. He told that he wanted to know who ordered the part without me paying for it. I calmly explained that the guy said I did not have to pay for it prior to ordering it, just pay when you pick it up. So I did that, only to get hassled by this guy and treated disrespectfully, and only to find out, it never was fricken ordered. Now I get to go a whole another week riding with UBER instead of y own car. This is B.S.. They need to get apolicy around this. This is not the first time that this has happened. This is non-sense.
