I have been at this autozone for an hour (not because of their service, this is any car issue), and already feel the need to post a review. And I NEVER leave reviews. Brian, the parts sales manager is amazing. I went in to borrow their tools to take my door panel off cause my window fell into my door. I know NOTHING about cars so I borrow their tools and Brian sees me about to break my panel. So this lovely gentleman comes outside and takes off my panel for me and explains that it's the lift that has gone bad. So I ask him how much it is and if they sell it and I stead of trying to sell me on it, he is honest and explains unless I need the option to roll down my window that it is best to just stick a piece of cardboard in and leave it be. So he gets my window back up, sticks a piece of cardboard in, starts putting ny panel back on. I notice the window starts slipping again so I run inside and purchase some duct tape. While I'm inside, he comes in and notifies that just as he was about to finish putting the door panel back on, the window fell back dow. And he has some work stuff he has to finish before the end of his shift. But he offers that if I want to stick around till he is off, he can finish helping me. .....this man is offering to help me after a long day of work and isn't even being paid for it anymore! THAT my fair people is a gentleman and absolutely just...wow. I can't say much about the store but so far everyone has been kind and helpful and friendly as far as I have seen. I've been here twice now this week, once because I had my check engine light come on a couple days ago, and today to buy some brake lights. I've always really liked AutoZone however now I love them. My engine light came on and I stopped by just to have the code checked. The code that came back indicated that I needed a new sensor. Which I was relieved because at least that wasn't something horrible. Brian got me a new sensor and then helped me change it out. I was out of there in less than 10 minutes engine light off. I have a Toyota Prius and I need a battery. The manager of the store, I believe his name was Sam, was so impersonal. He said he didn't handle electrical work. There's nothing electrical about changing a battery in a Prius. He wouldn't even give me the time of day. Very bad customer service even though one of the employees named Ty wanted to help the manager wouldn't let him. He told me to go to O'Reillys. O'Reillys did everything and I will never go back to AutoZone. read more

I have been a customer of AutoZone Northsight location since 2014. I have purchased multiple car batteries and many, many windshield wipers. Arizona weather, am I right? The service that I have received deserves a rave review. It is overdue. I will never purchase a car battery anywhere else. Let me tell you why. You can find an AutoZone anywhere. On Christmas Eve, my car battery died. I was stranded for days waiting for the car shop where I purchased the battery to reopen after the holiday break. When the shop reopened, things did not work out like I expected with the warranty. At AutoZone, all I had to do was provide my telephone number and the last car battery that was purchased in 2016 popped up and all of the details regarding that battery with its warranty. True, it had expired but I did not have to refresh memories or contend with new employees. It's all there. Done. So from now on, this is where I'll be purchasing my car batteries. I support small business, but with my car battery, I need to have my battery serviced whenever and wherever I am. Thank you, AutoZone, for getting me back on the road. read more

It's summer but my windshield wipers started falling off so I thought I get it replaced now rather than when it starts raining. This was the nearest Autozone to us so we went there to get my windshield wipers replaced. They offer free installation so this was a no brainer. When we got there, we were greeted and helped immediately. The employee was more on the older side and he just talked our ear off but it was fine cause he still got the job done. He printed the recommendations for us my car and took us to select the wipers. Then he had someone else install it which was great. We would prefer to just go straight to the recommendation without all the Sales-y or 'customer service' chat. If I could just have done the computer thing where they input the make and model of my car and it prints out all the recommendations, I would and just cut out the middle man there, TBH. Still got what I came for so 5 stars! read more

I was shopping at Walmart this evening and when I came out to my car at 8:00pm...it would not start. Walmart was unable to sell me a battery after 7pm and they were unable to jumpstart my car. I managed to call a friend who drove from Gilbert to jump me...and drove straight to autozone about ten minutes to closing. They were fast, friendly, and went the extra mile for me so I could avoid another jumpstart tomorrow morning to a shop and buy a battery. I came in to buy coolant and asked him if he could show me where it goes (I keep buying coolant but my coolant light keeps coming on, so I wanted to make sure I was putting it in the correct spot). He looked at my car for me and said a hose wasn't connected, and helped me buy a clamp from Autozone, and then put my hose back on for me!! Always a good way to start your trip to Autozone when the guy replacing your car battery has no clue how to use a wrench to loosen bolts and then you hear him say "Oops. It's okay you won't need that." as he breaks off a piece of the battery bracket. Here is to hoping my battery stays in place and doesn't wiggle loose all over. Also to note, he brought out packing tape as an attempt to tape it back on lol. I'll give it a 2 star vs 1 since at least my car started started... for the time being read more

My car battery died on Tuesday. Luckily my friend was able to jump start my car. After searching for the nearest auto zone I selected the north sight location around 2 PM. There were several techs inside to help customers with staggered covid lines and plexiglass at each register. Raleigh was my CSR tech who tested the battery, replaced the new one and tested the alternator to make sure all was swell. He was friendly, fast, gave good recommendations and I was on my way within half hour. Car trouble is never fun but I left way more at ease than when I arrived. Good job auto zone! read more

One of the managers, Raleigh, claims this store does not observe medical exemptions for not wearing a mask. He insisted that I'd need to wear one regardless and was unnecessarily assertive and unapologetic about it. I looked up the Scottsdale City Councils proclamation which clearly states that masks are not required for those who have medical conditions for which the CDC recommends against wearing masks and I went back to let him know, at which point he cut me off several times to state that Auto Zone as a company has decided to refuse to allow people in the store without a mask. Fortunately, Hannah stepped in and explained that, in fact, we were both correct and that the company had decided to offer curbside service for people not wearing masks. She was polite, friendly and informative, unlike Raleigh who was combative and unprofessional. I told Hannah that she should be a manager, she is the only reason I will continues to patronize Auto Zone stores. read more

Turns out, mine was still under warranty from a little under 3 years ago, so the install and new battery were completely free! Talk about awesome! When the lights came on in my vehicle indicating that I needed an air filter AND a cabin air filter (or something like that... How many filters does one vehicle need??), I drove over to my neighborhood AutoZone. It was a little busy inside the store so it took a while to be acknowledged and get assistance. They had both filters in stock and at a fraction of the cost sought by the car dealership. One of the employees came out and installed both of the filters for me. That employee, Jorge, was awesome. He was friendly and genuinely happy to help. He provided 5-star customer service. Management should have him train the rest of the employees in this store on how to provide excellent customer service. read more

This Autozone store is a lifesafer unlike some other locations in the Valley. I've received nothing less than 100% customer satisfaction every time I've stopped by in the last few years. It's a convenient 5-minute drive from work, so if there's anything I need for my car I can quickly stop by and not waste an hour. A year or so ago I purchased some headlights from here and had another AZ install one, and a dealership the other [because other AZ told me the driver's side was too small of a space for them to install]. So lucky me recently that one headlight died and the other started fading. I thought the bulbs I purchased were going to last more than 12mo like my OEMs but they didn't. So I ran to this stop and was warmly greeted by the Asst Manager [sorry can't remember his name!] who let me know it wasn't just someone not wearing gloves during installation, it was the bulb style I purchased that led me down this literal darkened road. He helped me pick up the long-term bulb and as I pulled out my debit card, he told me to put that away as they'd comp them for me and my troubles. PLUS, he easily installed both within a few minutes [wearing gloves BTW]. The guy made my day 2x over and I know to continue giving them my business. read more

Stopped by today to return something. I had the receipt and just purchased two days ago. It was a ceramic wax. One that I've never tried yet. And it was on sale so I bought it to try it. Didn't work great at all so I brought it back today to return it. The cashier was extremely rude and told me I used it. I said yes but wasn't satisfied. The box clearly says 100% satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. I wasn't happy. But still he refused my return. Even with a receipt. Very frustrating and disappointing. It is your typical AutoZone. I will say they keep their store stocked with all of the items all of the time. Very rare do they have to order something for you. Plus possibly because of the location the workers will come out and actually change your battery and do other work that I know other autosomes will not do. This is a complimentary Service as well as checking your battery and your check engine and warning lights. They also will match any other auto parts stores advertised price or they will even call the store to match the price. The workers know their stuff and are there to assist in any way possible. Bought a cabin filter and ordered it in store to be picked up here at this location a week ago. I was promised every day that it will arrive, I was curious on where it could be after the third time coming in so I checked the isle where they normally are. It was on the shelf, as I was making my way to the shelf I heard this twig boy with a high pitch voice mocking me saying, " her voice does not match her body, I was surprised." To that individual, I just would like to say now I understand why they put you in the back room. So your personality doesn't show to the customers at the front desk. We were going to movies when the skies opened up. That is when we first noticed we needed new windshield wiper blades. Kinda dumb, right? But, the only time we use them here in the Valley is after a car wash? Think about it. So we stopped at this location on Northsight, next to former site of "Al's Beef" which is now closed. The folks who work there stopped me as I walked in and asked for the make and model of my car. Within ten seconds we were over to the aisle and had the correct blades for our car. WOW! What a great group! A funny aside. As we left, I started taking out one of the blades and began throwing away the plastic and cardboard in the outside trash bin. Another shocker. It was filled to capacity with old blades. Great minds, Eh? read more

YES! An auto place that gets a girl in and out! Being in grad school and working full time, I don't drive my German machine all that much. I barely put 3,800 miles on it since April, so the oil light came on recently (it was a little low). I needed only a bit to hold me over to 5,000 miles so the Yelp iPhone app helped me find this Auto Zone in Scottsdale recently. The employees greeted me when I walked in, and they didn't bother me while I looked for the synthetic oil I needed. Once I finally found it, I asked the clerk to double-check behind me to ensure I chose the correct kind (I did). Half a quart later, no more oil light! I appreciate the no-pressure approach and the help at the counter to get me on my way. The oil didn't seem to be arranged in a logical fashion, so it took me a minute to locate the exact one I needed. If I were the manager, I'd reorganize them in some rhyme or reason... This location is near all the construction going on at Northsight right now, so driver beware... read more

My car had a dead battery and they were trying to charge me a ton of money to replace it where I got my oil changed so my boyfriend said let's go to AutoZone instead and I'm so glad I did!
