Costellos definitely stood out so I gave them a call. Surprisingly, they could get me in two days later. At 8:30 am I dropped off the Jeep and Dylon (I think that was his name, I am terribly about names) quickly recognized and greeted me. We talked quickly while standing a good distance and gave him the situation. Shortly after lunch they called to let me know that they had fixed the leak and it was ready to be picked up. A brake hose had rusted through and they replaced it then flushed and bled the brakes. Upon picking up my Jeep the price was a little higher than I expected. But to be honest I usually try to do the work myself. So of course I have not used a mechanic for a very long time. The Jeep was clean and no paper mats, plastic bag seat covers, or greasy fingerprints found anywhere. So, this is really a 4 1/2 stars review as the work was done quickly, cleanly, and most importantly correctly. The price may be a bit high but they only fixed what needed fixed and did not turn it into something more than it was. Would I take my vehicle there next time I am unable or unwilling to work on it, yes definitely. Will I not complain about the price... well... I am human.

He solved a particularly bizarre problem I was having with my Nissan after I'd been told by another mechanic that the problem couldn't be fixed and that the only chance was a dealership. On the recommendation of someone at Blackburn College, I took the car to Costello's. Jim spent about two weeks trying to locate and fix my car and finally solved the problem. He took about an hour when I went to pick up the car to explain in great detail everything that he trialed and errored before finally fixing the issue. Jim is also quite an honest guy when it comes to unnecessary repairs or repairs that in the grand scheme of things won't be worth it. My girlfriend took her ancient Pontiac in with an exhaust problem and Jim said it could be fixed but given the age of the car and the cost of the repair, he told her it was probably a better idea to save her money for a new car (which she did). In short, couldn't possibly recommend Costello's enough.

I called Carfax and they said the same thing, too bad so sad. I read the other negative reviews about this dealership, and also the replies to every complaint from the dealership, dismissing the negative reviews. I presume this review will be objected to in similar fashion. This dealership is the classic used car lot that people distrust, and for a very good reason. Consider yourself warned. They said 90% of their business is internet sales. If they'll lie straight to our faces, you'd better believe they'll lie over the internet.

Since they are about two hours away, I kept looking locally. Finally, I decided to make the drive to look at the car. It was in better shape than I could have hoped. Plus, their list price was extremely reasonable. I took the car to my mechanic and he only found a couple very minor issues. Girard Auto took care of them ASAP and I am the happy owner of the car. Everyone I talked with was very friendly and helpful, especially Andrew. He went out of his way to ensure I was satisfied. They have a LOT of beautiful cars on the lot.
