Let me begin by saying I don't usually like oatmeal raisin cookies but this cookie was delicious. Soft, smooth texture with flavors that played off each other and not too sweet. The bread has a great crisp crust that goes well with a pad of butter. I would stop again! Parking easy. Employees kind. It seemed like it was really tucked way off the main strip. But worth finding! It's a cute little place, not much standing room inside. But it goes quick. You go in, look around, make some decisions and you are out the door. I got a lemon shortbread cookie to try. The breads that day were all yeast breads, and I just prefer sourdoughs. I loved the cookie I got, and the service was so kind. There were like four people behind the plastic wall, working so hard! I will be back to try the sourdoughs - just a preference. Parking is tight but people are coming and going quickly. You can also walk over from the main street. No tables, no where to sit, so keep that in mind if you plan on eating right away. THE BEST BAKERY EVER! If you are in North Conway this is a must stop! It is off the main strip so it is not as well known to people who aren't local but I will be telling everyone I know who visits to stop by. The baked goods are so fresh. The staff and bakers are so friendly and welcoming when we stopped in. It is a tiny place but the smell was just amazing. The croissants buttery and flaky, the ones with the egg and scallions baked in were out of this world. We stopped in every day while up visiting to get something. Talk about a hidden gem!!! Can't believe that we have been here for over a week, and just hours before leaving town came upon la dolcezza enorme of the owners and their creations. Not only is there an epic vibe inside the place and their kindness, but I am flying high on a ginger date scone and can't wait to get back to these coordinates to try their other baked goods. We stayed nearby for a week and we went every day after our first trip. Nice variety. Pleasant staff. Helpful in confirming ingredients. I was surprised at the number of egg free options. Menu changes a bit each day (check the website, but it didn't perfectly match the board). Very small, take out only and limiting the number of guests in the building. A must stop if you are in North Conway. Everything we had was delicious - the scones, the blueberry and sour cream square, the chocolate chip cookies, and the cinnamon rolls. The scones stayed moist even the next day, the chocolate chip cookies are thick and delicious, and the cinnamon rolls were great. No self control.consumed.)They are substantial- bulky/hearty "big", not large/flat "big"- Some of my favorite cookies are from Levain Bakery- the cookies from Old Village provide more excitement with changes to the flavor profiles, while providing the same texture- packed with the flavor described, crisp on the outside, slightly chewy on the inside. Daily variety of cookie flavors, makes each trip to the bakery exciting! I'm still really enjoying the baked goods here. We stop for some goodies to bring home whenever we are in the area. The breads are made fresh every day and they will slice them for you if asked. My husband loves the granola and if you have priced granola recently, it is reasonably priced. The also sell a few savory items if you need a quick lunch. On a recent stop I picked up a small square of raspberry coffee cake and it was delicious. They are located on a side street off the main strip in the center of town and have a parking lot. Cannot speak highly enough of Old Village Bakery and their incredible team. They went above and beyond preparing a delicious spread for my post-wedding brunch this past August. The quiches and potato leak galettes were the perfect savory treat. The croissants were the best that myself and many of my guests had ever had. The scones and coffee cake were also astounding. I overbought hoping for leftovers but everything was devoured! Communication and working with Margaret was a dream. I was so happy and impressed with how every single item was so delicious and beautiful. I cannot recommend this talented team and bakery highly enough! read more

We stopped here on our last morning in North Conway. It's a good thing I didn't discover this place earlier or I probably would've gained more weight on my vacation. The chocolate croissant was buttery and flaky. Blueberry muffin was packed with blueberries and the scone was excellent. Super small bakery with lots of freshly baked goodies. Their breads are amazing! We got a jalapeño cheddar loaf, a olive rosemary roll, and an Aztec cookie. Located on Seavy st. Kind of tucked in behind some of the other buildings so don't miss it. We sampled some of the bread they had on the counter and it was fanatic, nice crust and a soft inside. We chose to get the chocolate croissant which was one of the best I've ever had. It had fanatic flavor along with a bit of firm texture which I'll take anytime over those little dainty croissants you get other places. We also tried the chocolate chip banana bread. The bread was thick and loaded with chocolate chips. The banana flavor in bread wasn't overpowering but subtle, the texture was different from other banana breads I've made or had in the past, it was airy and almost bread like. I planning on going back and go for the scones which is how I really judge a great bakery. read more

Who would have known that there's a world class bakery hidden on a side street in the village of North Conway ? We bought a box of mix/match breads and pastries including muffins, scones, dinner rolls, coffee cake, cupcake and cookie to go (there's no sitting room ).
