It would have helped to get it beforehand, and after. The dentist wants me to get $5500.00 Invisalign Braces for TMJ that I thought I MAY have. She didn't even examine me for a diagnosis. We didn't even discuss my Xray results, or other options for my clenching jaw. She just jumped to my 3 slightly crooked teeth. THREE! Really? They didn't even make my next 6-month appointment after 3 HOURS of appointment time with them. Everything immediately focused on my new braces. They even pushed me to apply for credit. When they asked me for my checking account information, I put the brakes on. All they did, was make me feel like I was being taken advantage of. Cavities? I don't know if I have any. I will most likely get an appointment with someone else in 6 months. I really hate the way my appointment shifted. Seven days later, I am still feeling that vibe. I don't like it at all. Ruban kept calling me, even after I left him a message telling him that I will be seeking a less invasive treatment. None of which they discussed with me. Invisalign Braces were my only choice from this dentist. I told everyone in this office that I spoke with that my hearing is an issue, and please not to call me on the phone. My phone is ringing. I have been going to Dr. Marte's office for about two years now and I have to say it's the BEST experience I've had at the dentist. The two hygienist I've had have been the sweetest to me! First one I had really made me feel so comfortable being there and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Sadly she ended up leaving and was moved to another hygienist and been with her for over a year now. And just like the first one she always making sure I'm okay and talks me through it. Dr. Marte has been super friendly and always has great tips. In a few months I'll be moving but I will still make the drive just to come to this location. 10/10 experience for me.

It took so long for the pain to go away and completely go numb, but the dentist and his assistant worked diligently and took time to make sure that I was not in pain or uncomfortable in any way. At my last visit, I had my cleaning and checkup as usual, but afterward I was told I had to pay because my insurance no longer covered the visit. When I checked with my insurance company, I found out this office was no longer in my insurance network. The office staff never informed me that they had stopped accepting my insurance. Be careful and always check with your insurance company before your appointment. They won't necessarily tell you that they are out of network until after your treatment is completed.

Allison (hygienist) is gentle, thorough and pleasant. Dr. Angulo is personable, highly-experienced, and has shown a thoughtful approach in evaluating a cosmetic issue around a tooth implant I've had for over 25 years. Compared to my prior dentist, TPDA has noticeably more modern technology, that seems more effective and efficient in assessing my overall dental health. Asked on the phone if they could treat a young child of two years (the answer on the phone was yes, and to bring them in during my appointment). However when I arrived with them they seemed to be very uncomfortable with a young child and the doctor actually didn't look at their teeth, but instead one of the hygienists who "used to work at a pediatric dentist" did. 2. The teeth staining I had concern about (because they can lead to decay and infection) I was told was not a big concern. I was also advised against using fluoride toothpaste and to keep brushing their teeth using baby toothpaste. No additional instructions were given until they could spit better. At the time I felt informed and that my concerns were answered, but this was me putting too much trust in them I think, and how they present themselves as a "family dentistry for all ages". 3.My toddler now has two cavities because of following this advice (or lack of advice). I tried to do the right thing and go to a professional in advance, but I didn't get that here. I am extremely disheartened and wish I had skipped this place and brought my child to a pediatric dentist back then. My toddler is very likely facing oral surgery now because I was given false assurance that things were fine. *Please if you are a parent concerned about your young toddlers teeth look into a pediatric dentist first or at least make sure the doctor will actually look at your child's teeth as he didn't look at my child's directly. You could save yourself from a very unwanted and preventable situation!* My care for my own teeth was very good here, which is why it makes me especially sad that this situation happened because it seems as though they are kind enough and skilled enough but simply didn't take the situation seriously for my child . I have no issues with the care of my teeth, but I would never recommend this place for a young child's care based on my experience.

A week ago I had EXTREME tooth pain which forced me to find an emergency dentist. On my first appointment I came in contact with Marlen (front receptionist), Michael (dental assistant), Sharon (hygienist), the doctor and of course Dawn who btw called me on a SUNDAY to confirm my emergency appointment. Overall my first visit was great, mostly x-rays and questions. I left with antibiotics for my tooth pain and an appointment in 1 week for a deep cleaning. Fast forward to today. My first deep cleaning in over 10 years. I was extremely nervous and scared but Ellie ( THE VERY BEST HYGIENIST ) explained everything before starting. She gave me options regarding numbing (I ended up only using a topical) and the entire process was amazing. I felt no pain what's so ever , she was very quick , and she made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The right side of my teeth feel 10 years younger and I'm excited to come back and get my oral health back in control. Thank you Hillcrest for treating me like family and giving me confidence in my teeth again.
