After a terrible experience at the Kissimmee location, where they fraudulently tried to charge me and had several "recommendations" for what was suppose to be a deep cleaning that is covered by insurance, I was contacted by Marie at Corporate who assured me that I would be better treated and that the service would be provided guaranteed at this Lee Vista location. I reluctantly took the appointment. Called out of work, and wasted yet another afternoon at the dentist. The dentist Dr. Oz told me that she was reviewing everything and would have some recommendations. She saw me for a total of 5 minutes and then the finance guy (super nice) told me that after insurance my bill would be $894.40. I explained that appreciate the recommendation but ONLY WANT A CLEANING. He told me that I have been diagnosed with Gum diseases. But by who??? This is the first I hear of it. Nevertheless, I don't want anything other than a cleaning. He says that cannot be done once I have been told I have gum disease. I left with NO SERVICE GIVEN! What's really mind boggling is that the appointments were 5 days apart and how did my total go from $551 at the Kissimmee location to $849 at the Lee Vista???? Worst place ever !!!!!! I scheduled for my husband at 9:45 for new patient cleaning. I do understand that for new patient will take longer time BUT ......after call the name and done with x-ray ....they leave me just sit down and wait .....until 11:30 !!!!! Still do nothing. It was almost 2hrs !!!! When I asked for how long it will take for the process.. She only told us they are waiting for doctor going through for treatment plan and they can start cleaning ...!!!! I don't even know where to start .Speci when I am sitting down with a tooth pain on Christmas. I set up an appointment for me and my son for the first time at this place . After waiting for 1 hr to be seen and then 1.5 to finish they let me go because my insurance website was down. They told me there was a tooth that needed to be removed which I knew and I told them I had pain from time to time . But they let me go . I set up a second appointment to take the tooth out because it's been bothering me . Not only pain if I tried to clean it but the sensitivity is too much . I set up the appointment for the morning before going to work . 30 minutes later the front desk person came with a list of things they wanted to do and the cost which is outrageou ($9,000 in total) . I told her listen before we talk about all this things I need the tooth out . The dentist told her that she was busy and she couldn't do it that day. I expend two days for nothing at this place. They wanted me to come another day or another time when I have to work . This place is all about money and unnecessary stuff that people don't even need. I will fall a complaint with my insurance because Aspen dental should not be pay for nothing. unfortunately, due to the holidays I haven't found a dentist to help me. A tooth pain ir an infection is a serious matter . I will wait until I get a better dentist but I will never lose my time at this place . They don't even deserve one star! read more

Around Sept, 2023 I had a deep cleaning done as recommended. I usually don't have this done because too many dental offices just use this for padding their billing. Cost - about $750. I later received a notice from my dental insurance that the cost for the mouthwash they gave me was denied. $70 - for mouthwash?. I went back to Aspen and they said they didn't understand. It was part of my $750 that I paid already. I said I was never informed I was paying this additional cost & returned the mouthwash & asked for my money back. It took 2 months for them to credit mt credit card. Then I received another denial from the insurance for the cost because Aspen was trying to bill my insurance a second time. Not only was Aspen trying to charge me but they were trying to bill the insurance also. 3 months after another appointment in March, 2024 I received a bill from Aspen for $52 for teeth "varnishing" after a cleaning that already cost $75. I asked Aspen about it & they said it wasn't covered. I should have been informed before the so-called cleaning. BTW, I had my teeth checked by a friend & retired dentist. I never needed the deep cleaning. This company is all about making profit & has no desire to service customers properly. Check BBB website for 8 pages of complaints for the similar problems other are having. read more

Worst dental work ever. They charge you up front than later you get an additional bill for over a thousand dollars. They immediately put you with a lawyer and mess up your credit a simple procedure will cost you three times what it would cost you to go to an excellent dentist. read more

So I am very surprised to not see five stars or at least four on every review. But we all have different experiences in life and who am I to judge. What I can say is that Dr. Hernandez, Victoria, Dudley, Don and the rest of the crew are absolutely amazing. I have gotten 100% first class service going here. I am nobody special yet I am treated very special. My smile is the best it has ever been in my whole entire life. I was a little scared going in but these guys made it work out smooth. Thank you so much for your high level of professionalism and dedication. Not to mention you're a cool group of people and I'm glad to know you. They Suck !!!! Viera Florida !!!!!!!! I have waited a year for a parcel denture that they did incorrectly three time !!! Now they are charging me for a parcel that I paid for with Care credit !!!! I can't go to any other Aspens because Viera says I owe them 800 dollars !!!! So in June it will be a year that I am walking around missing my teeth.. A law suit is pending thats for sure !! I made an appointment yesterday for today. The lady who handled the appointment over the phone was friendly and helpful. When I got there, I did some paperwork and the lady at the front desk was helpful. However, even though the waiting area was empty, I waited for half an hour. I finally asked the front desk staff what was going on. After another 10 minutes I was finally taken in for xrays by the assistant. After doing the regular xray, she then used some sort of 3d scan, pressing against my teeth hard and it hurt so bad I ended up walking out. I came in because I have some cracked teeth and missing fillings and it hurts like ****. Instead of acknowledging and focusing on those teeth issues, I got the scan in advance of the sales pitch. I don't spend alot of time at the dentist and this is my first time at Aspen Dental. If they would have focused on the problem, maybe asked some questions, then I would have become a regular customer. read more

Short Explanation: 99% sure they just care about profits and not you as a patient. I was given a treatment plan for something that I did not need (which I suppose was to improve Aspen's profits) - which I confirmed by getting a 2nd opinion with another dentist. Also, the office did not check my insurances benefits correctly, and if I would have gotten a surprise bill due to my insurance denying the procedure. You can read the long review below for more details: Long explanation: I went for a routine dental cleaning as a new patient. My appointment was originally scheduled at 3:45pm, but a staff member called me asking me if I could get there early, so I told them I could make it at 2:45pm. When I check in (at 2:45pm), the front desk person tells me that they will call me shortly... but instead I had to wait for 1 hour in the lobby, and was seen at 3:45pm (which already upset me because I was asked to be there early). Once I got the dental hygenist to do the xrays and check my teeth, she said that I had an "infection in my mouth" and that I needed to get a "deep cleaning done", but was unable to explain further once I asked follow up questions. Then Dr Hernandez came in, who is very nice and knowledgeable, and explained that I had the early stages of periodontal disease at all molars and premolars and explained that I needed a Scaling and Root Planing for Gum Disease, and explained why. Because of the office seeing me one hour late, I was unable to stay to get the dental cleaning, so the Treatment Plan Coordinator told me that the cost of the deep cleaning with insurance would be $138. The following day I called the office to schedule the deep cleaning, and Treatment Plan Coordinator told me that they had made a mistake, and it was going to be $520... and on top of that I would have to pay for half of the procedure to be able to schedule it.... something told me this wasn't right so I went ahead and told him "I'd call right back". Because of a previous bad experience with a surprise bill from another dentist that I had, I called my insurance to verify if the procedure they were reccomending was covered... and to my surprise it was NOT (contrary to what they had told me here at Aspen). This would have meant that I would have had to pay the $520, and then receive a surprise bill for the rest of the cost of the procedure. After this I decided to go to another dentist (independently owned, not a corporate office), who agreed with the periodontal disease diagnosis, but told me that it was only present in the lower premolars and molar... not on all four!!!! I went ahead and had the scaling and root planing and the rest of the dental cleaning done with this office. Bottom line: avoid going to this place. They'll try to recommend procedures that are not needed... and they won't even check insurance benefits properly, meaning you will be on the hook for hundreds if not thousands of dollars because of their ineptitude at verifying benefits. read more

This has to be by far the worst dentist establishment I've ever been too. The people here are idiots. I never know what I'm coming in for. They will schedule a dental cleaning without telling me. Then I show up and I'm here longer than expected. Sometimes I will schedule a dental cleaning just to show up and not get one. I've been wasting my life here for over a year trying to get Invisalign's that their incompetent staff never knows what is going on. This place is seriously a hot mess. They change doctors so many times so they never know where you are in your treatment process. The dentist never has time to check your teeth and progress instead the medical assistant is doing things just to find out that it's wrong and prolonging the Invisalign process. The doctor told me that my tooth is totally broken and wanted to REMOVE it and to charge me $12000. I went to another hospital, they said this tooth is good and only need a slight fix. It is good now and it only took 2 weeks and $300. The most important thing is NO NEED TO REMOVE THIS GOOD TOOTH. AVOID Aspen. You did not care about patients and misled us. FUC* YOU!! I absolutely love this Aspen Dental location. Dr. Shear has eased my fear of going to the dentist & truly makes me feel taken care of. Dr. Shear filled one of my cavities and I felt no pain at all! She also is doing Invisalign on my teeth and worked way past closing to make sure my teeth were ready to go for my first trays. She made sure I left equipped for my aligners and comfortable. Also, Quin did my deep cleaning since my gums were infected & I have gum disease. She talked me through the whole process, turned on some music and did the cleaning in 45 minutes.. or less! It went by so quick. Really love this location, grateful for an awesome doctor & a wonderful staff. read more

I made an appointment by phone for a wisdom teeth, letting known to the lady who handled the appointment over the phone that it was an emergency that I already had a referral and the x rays. It was very clear what I was asking for was a surgeon, so the lady told me that everything was scheduled with the surgeon! Guess what? Next day I didn't went to work running to this place 8 in the morning and the first thing they told me was that they didn't had a surgeon available till 20 days later but I had to get evaluated no matter I had a referral and the x-rays. I was a Aspen dental patient and loved their Waterford Lakes location and staff for years. Since Covid they have an entire new staff and dentist. I made an appointment and went in. When I got there they had lost my appointment. I asked if I could see the facilities and precautions they were taking for their customers to prevent Covid spread. I am a ARNP and this was a concern for me. I notice the DDS himself wearing a mask and gown going back and forth to the front desk talking to the office and business managers which worn NO MASK. The DDS was nice enough to find time to work me in for an appointment and I waited in my car till called. Supposedly they are suppose to take my tempature & screen me for covid before seen. Well that never happened. At first I was placed in a open area in a dental chair where there were three more stations right beside me filled with patients not wearing mask. There were NO partitions between us, NO curtains or No plexiglass. One fellow was getting his tooth drilled and you could actually see droplets flying in all direction & water from the drilling process, another getting their teeth cleaned apparently and water being squirted all in his mouth and him spitting in the drain bowl and all over coughing. Then there was me having the dentist examining my tooth cavity. Now I realize if you are getting you teeth worked on you can't wear a mask but precautions can be taken to isolate each patient behind some protective barrier while the stations are packed and secretions, droplets and aerosol spray is going everywhere. Staying six feet away from a person having their teeth drilled isn't enough. Then i noticed the dentist going back and forth between patients wearing the same mask & gown. He only removed and changed his gloves. Can you imagine the build up of secretions on his gown and mask? He would also walk up the hall to the front office in the same mask & gown. All those secretions and bacteria can be transferred between patients as the contaminated Dentist leans in to work on various patients. In a busy dental office where the employees are up in everybody's face and mouth how likely are they to come across infected patients that aren't aware they have covid are they are spreaders? When finished they directed me to the business managers to discuss my plan of care and method of payment. We sit six feet apart and she did put a mask on when I entered the room but voiced her displeasure and disbelief in having to do so because "see is tired of covid and just over it". I must mention that she was also sick and having coughing episodes that she would clear her throat and drink water in order to talk. What should have taken10 mintues tops in that office turned into one hour sitting in there with her as she coughed and took 4 personal calls from family members arranging soccer practice and who was picking up who's kids and at what time with her neighbors. This was a horrible experience. If I didn't work healthcare and know how pathogens spread perhaps I would not have been so appalled. This office was a giant petrie dish of bacteria and pathogens spreading everywhere. The only person well covered and masked up with a N95 PPE mask was the Dentist and he wasn't bothering to change it or his gown between patients. If this place is this careless and dirty in front of patients what is it like sterilizing and setting up equipment. This place is disgusting. Patients, clients and potential employees BEWEAR. I went home, decontaminated, took a shower, brushed my teeth, washed my hair and clothes then called the health dept. read more

If you're looking for a family or personal dentist this is the dentistry to have, this team is amazing. Mike Hernandez really cared through the entire process, Mike took me as a person and when every dentist from Texas, New Mexico, Virginia and Florida for 10 months couldn't do, Mike Hernandez and by himself and with his team took care of me before 1 month of time. Money, time, pain, were all taken into account. From the time i walked in the door and meeting Dudley with a smile to Margie that only thought of my well being they were truly awesome and family. On accident i said out loud, wow, why is this so easy when no one else cared and Margie said, because its the right thing to do. 5 stars is 5 too low...Thank you Aspen Dental for this entire teem and thank you Mike for letting me be a part of your family.
