I was referred to Connecteriors by Verosol, a solar shade manufacturer of a product that I want to use for motorized shades on 18, floor to ceiling windows in my apartment. When they responded to my inquiry, I'd shared that I'd previously used the Verosol shade and really liked it... and that I was looking for a couple quotes from vendors selling the Verosol product and a vendor with an alternative product. They asked me to come to their shop to view and discuss options... because "they get lot's of inquiries for quotes (that they obviously, don't win enough of) it's a long way to travel and consequently, a waste of their time." But... I should make the same investment of time and energy by going to them? No Way! I'd already stated I'd used the product and... that it was my preference. So, I knew I was committing to costs between $8K and $12K for the job. AND... my building is only 6.5 miles from there downtown location. So... I pushed back, indicating I wanted them to come out to show me how they'd deal with the installation of the shades and electrical needs and to generate a quote. The response was more about why they don't like to do that. As a qualified buyer, I felt I was twisting their arm to do business with me. Really folks??? No, thanks... --- If I'm treated that way before I buy, what could I expect after they have my money? --- Today, a competitor - Tunnel Vision Technology - came out (no arm twisting) placed large samples up to the window so I could see a variety of Verosol products in my environment, discussed installation challenges and best options and then measured the windows to generate a quote. The person Andrew, instructed that he would complete our building project within a week, possibly a couple extra days more when it was still warm. It turned out to be two months later. This is after taking 80% of his profit. His excuses for prolong were that he had other clients that had larger businesses that needed him. His best excuse was that the cold weather was keeping him from working indoors on panels. He issued threats that he possibly wouldn't finish the project after keeping us waiting for 40 days. As the temperature dropped he profusely emailed that we would have to find another company to finish the project stating that we should keep the 20% of the payment left to pay another person. Finally the system is complete and the final payment is being issued in his behalf, but Not in the time frame he wanted. Definitely not recommending this company.
