We had Chicago Installers do 2 things. The first was removing a TV that was mounted on the wall and replacing it with a larger TV. In so doing, they were able to hide the cable wires and the power wire behind the wall. That part was relatively simple but connecting to WI-FI became complicated because we could not find the Wi-Fi password. Although we thought we had the password it turned out to be incorrect. Boris patiently searched our cell phone and somehow found the correct password. The second thing we had them do was to move a TV that was on our refrigerator and mount it on the opposite wall. In order to connect it to the cable, they had to run a line from the fridge area to the opposite wall. Once again, they were able to hide the cable wire and the electrical power wire. Boris and Yero are excellent workman and they really know what they are doing, I highly recommend them. read more

I had the most wonderful experience with the Chicago TV Installer team. They showed up on time, we with extra materials (we told them that we already had a mount), communicated with me, and were very kind. We are in an old lofted space and because of the walls/studs we couldn't use the mount we had. The mount was too bulky, our TV was too heavy (75"), and the TV would have ripped out from the wall eventually. The guys were so knowledgeable! They had another mount (for a very reasonable price), installed it so quickly AND hid the chords. On move day, the movers could not remove the tv wall brace from the old space. I called the installers and they were so flexible. They came to the old space to remove the wall bracket, then transported it to the new location. They were so detailed! They installed the television above a fireplace and noticed the marble mantle was a millimeter thicker on one end than the other. They called me over to show that the television was level and the mantle was not. They were fast, communicative, careful, reasonably priced, and took safety seriously. Yelp says 3 stars is A-OK. I agree with that and would use Boris again but I felt the process was a bit rushed and there were a couple of setbacks. I'll start with the good. Boris and his assistant showed up on time and on short notice. Also, after I let Boris know that there was a problem with the way that one of the cables was installed, Boris came over and fixed it the same day. Boris is certainly punctual and has integrity. There were a few things that prevent me from giving a 5 star review. First, the process was a bit rushed. Boris is very efficient so the process was a bit of a whirlwind. I didn't receive an itemized invoice and, as a result, the pricing was a bit confusing. Ultimately, it made sense after asking him to slow down for me while I wrote it all down. In fairness to Boris, he was only supposed to hang a 49" TV for which I already had a mount but after he got there I asked him if he also wanted to do my 75" for which I did not yet have a mount. I'm sure that made it more complicated. Second, the TV was being hung on a drywall exterior wall. I did not know this at the time, but it is fairly common for new construction to use spray foam insulation between the drywall and exterior wall. This is great for temperature and sound but it makes it much more difficult (but not impossible) to run cables behind the wall (I will get to that in a moment). I would have preferred if Boris had warned me *before* he cut a hole in the wall that he might be unable to run cables behind the drywall. That way, I could have made an informed decision about whether the risk and additional fee was worth it. Third, after cutting open the wall and finding spray foam, Boris informed me that it wasn't possible to run cable behind the wall. Fortunately, the TV that I had purchased was cracked out of the box so Boris could not finish the job that day. In the meantime, my wife and I did some research and figured out how to run the cables behind the wall so we (1) cut an additional hole, (2) ran the cables, and (3) hung the TV on the mount, essentially doing most of the work ourselves. Fourth, the components that he offers on-site are *way* overpriced. For example, $57 for a non-articulating wall mount that goes for somewhere between $21-33 on Amazon. $30 for an 8' optical cable that goes for about $7-9 on amazon or BestBuy. Therefore, my suggestion is that you do your research ahead of time and make sure that you have ALL of your components when he shows up. If you are going to conceal cables, you'll probably want to buy longer cables ahead of time. All said, Boris is a good guy and I would use him again for certain jobs. read more

And they even had to get creative with installing the soundbar (also an extra cost, which was fair) despite MMount telling me it'd be no problem. These guys were quick, efficient, tidied up after they were done and tested everything properly to make sure it worked.
